More specifically, Omega Sawblade. You have to go lengths and miles to make it slightly viable. It's the most blatant noob trap of all recent gaming history, designed only to kill the player who uses it for the first time.
fixing the bug with using divide by cards on cards that draw would be easy af but they never did it so I have to waste 2 slots to do it myself through ingame means
>have fun >everything going smooth >exploring and adventuring >something flies at you off screen and instakills you
Like every fricking time. I want to like this and I keep coming back to the game like an addict chasing a high. This is literally the vidya equivalent of wiener and ball torture with a ruined orgasm at the end.
It completely blew my mind when I first saw someone utilize a poly-protection egg. It basically buried them in a safe patch of dirt until the poly wore off.
Every fricking "endgame" thing is the most boring shit ever. >oh find these 4 special dongle stones and bring them to the hidden place that isn't mentioned anywhere and then have this other guy follow you down there while not killing him and you get to unlock a spell!!! Also you're literally immortal for all of this except to your game crashing or you deciding to swim in poly out of boredom
Suck my DICK.
it's too obscured. Not the game being obscure, the objective, the point, the goal. Plus trying to look up info is like pulling teeth with how jargon'y it is.
I'm playing tiny rogues rn, i know little besides watching a video or two about it, and while some terms make me second guess my first guesses about what does what when other things are involved, i don't need a legal document worth of words to figure out if i'm correct or off base. Plus the secret things are secret, not just handed to you, but still don't take hours and searching to figure out.
>Do you think it's better?
Maybe, maybe not. I know i'm having more F U N though.
devs keep adding new bosses but don't know how to actually make them a challenge without just being a wiki check and giving them all auras that remove your perks/reflect damage/immunity to basically everything/all of the above
I've got nearly 3000 hours in the game and I still feel it would be better with a save system.
Sometimes I want to do long 20+ hour runs, other times I want to do the daily, or run some modded stuff, etc
There's so many reasons to have one and nearly no negatives.
I do manually backup my save folders to do this already but it's way more tedious than it needs to be.
The whole 'everything is in the one world and you can just go anywhere anytime' shit is insanely bad. Likewise with how most of the world is outside of the regular biomes and has a billion "secret" nonsense to grab. Give me a game like Noita but is a little more honest.
The game is held back by lacking any default measures to save progression or power in any way. The average player and person NOT being totally autistic and min-maxing is not going to see 95% of the world or figure out 1/3 of the mechanics, due to the game's inherent difficulty and RNG. It doesn't make sense to design so much, and then gatekeep with RNG and autism.

It's also a problem with games that FORCE players to rely on a third-party website for information to play the game. >What the frick am I supposed to do. >Wait how the frick was I supposed to figure this out besides googling it? >I didn't even know this existed before I read the wikia
Sometimes you just literally get no digging spells >absolutely godly perk lineup >if only I could get a black hole >okay fine, just laser will work >p-plasma cross at least? please? >SPARK BOLT EXPLOSIVE? >at the fricking temple >not even egg spell to take the long journey through the wizard den >hit the tower >pop out back at the top of the mountain >with still nothing to dig with
>New Game
At least this new update has put blue fungal cavern close to the desert surface so if i'm extremely desperate and have some bombs left I can try that but holy shit sometimes its just not worth it.
There's a lot of cheapness. Tiny pixels instakilling you, stuff shooting you offscreen, spells you're trying to test that actually damage you and even end your run. It's fun, but far from perfect and frustrating at times..
Makes sense when you think about it. Noite puts a lot of thought on alchemy, and slime is a substance that reduces your speed. Combining it with liquids that have the opposite effect could result in an extreme reaction. I guess that's what they were going for.
That, and screwing with players.
Honestly, they should go the whole hog and have it so drinking any of the speed-up potions when you've got Slime Blood makes you explode. I think it happens if you're stained with one and interact with the other, though, but it's hard to tell the difference between that and a single stray pixel
At this point, I don't think anyone would be mad if they did that, lmao
But yeah. One way to fix the random stray pixel thing I guess would be to increase the tolerance of both the player and substances, like, there could only be some reactions if a considerable (like, about 9 pixels or so) amount of said substance came into contact with the other... at least for more violent reactions.
My favorite seeds are those that add a fungal room to the first layer. Fungal shifting without having to go all the way to fungal caverns is so convenient.
mods disable the cauldron and NO ONE has solved it or the eyes, I doubt the people who solved the fricking zodiac killer cipher can solve the eyes.
its TOO esoteric. also the alchemical reaction system needs WAAY more interactions, most of them are pointless or insanely convoluted (fire to MORE HEAT to metal to molten metal to rust for example and WHY would you even other than the triple combos you HAVE TO look up unless you have 1 in a million luck and the world is just turning to midas)
>No incentive to get orbs after unlocking their spells >No ascension system that increases the difficulty of the run from the start >New Game+ sucks >Perks usefulness range from "Necessary to remove tedium" to "Visual hindrance" >No sense of achievement if you follow the game's goal, beat the boss >"Fun" locked behind hours of traveling once you're near-immortal already
>No incentive to get orbs after unlocking their spells
The frick are you on about? The health upgrade is more useful than most of the spell unlocks the majority of the time
You can get so much more health through worms or abusing the red heart masters. Why even bother? More importantly, why not create a real difficulty system rather than rely on the player to needlessly travel the world to make the boss more difficult?
i did not find a tele bolt until temple last run and i meticulously cleared everything besides hiisi base and the one before temple. i got ukko'd 30 seconds later when ane fell in the holy mountain after i shot a black hole up and got flooded with electrified worm blood and water.
When you know how to properly start a run >Go down and look for better bomb wands in the first area >Head up and over the mountain to head east >Go down and to the mushroom area to get actually useful wands
It gets very slow to start
The areas outside of the main dungeon are large and boring but they house a bunch of bosses and cool spells so you have to slog through them to reach that cool stuff. New game plus is a randomized garbage pile and is nearly unplayable without cheating by using external tools to show you where the orbs are. The main game is superb though.
You have to be autistic to play it
>flaw
you have to be autistic with just this game to play it
The megumin character mod isn't default
If you have too much fun the save file will become too big
Better disable cloud saves for this game before it shits the bed and wipes your file.
Also worth reloading the engine every couple parallel worlds
Sawblade spell
More specifically, Omega Sawblade. You have to go lengths and miles to make it slightly viable. It's the most blatant noob trap of all recent gaming history, designed only to kill the player who uses it for the first time.
I think it's meant to be a less than ideal compromise until you find something viable.

Just use the built-in save feature??
build a spell that crashes the game and then put it in an egg so that it gets cast of you ever die or get pollied
It completely blew my mind when I first saw someone utilize a poly-protection egg. It basically buried them in a safe patch of dirt until the poly wore off.
Starting a good run takes a little too long
Every fricking "endgame" thing is the most boring shit ever.

it isn't using voxels
It made my favorite e-clown lose literal billions of dollars
Explain
I think it's a Jerma reference.
no co-op
No save loading
No multiple saves
I've got nearly 3000 hours in the game and I still feel it would be better with a save system.

my adventurous spirit is my downfall

Objectively bad game design.
That's how things work in real life
there really aren't that many flaws, but i do suck at it
this game is too advanced for my frontal lobe
>dude just get a lucky seed so you can backtrack and dig upwards for 10 minutes
No thanks
>not being able to work with any seed you're given
Sometimes you just literally get no digging spells
>absolutely godly perk lineup

Get luckier noob
I hate it. It makes me angry.

Didn't the wand misfire or something? where did that explosion come from?
Slime + hastium/acceleratium/levitatium = boom
??????? What????
That causes an explosion? Are you shitting me?
slime is slow + fast = unstable chemical reaction
Aah I see.
Makes sense when you think about it. Noite puts a lot of thought on alchemy, and slime is a substance that reduces your speed. Combining it with liquids that have the opposite effect could result in an extreme reaction. I guess that's what they were going for.

>game is impossible
That’s a pretty big frickin’ flaw right there.8todv
Literally everything. This game has no strengths, only flaws.
like 30 minutes of content unless you count the cryptic and weird side stuff
Nothing, you guys have a Galo Sengen parody. https://youtu.be/FLf7qutsgBU
Not enough Mina fanart (porn)
I prefer velhos.
it's boring. i played it for 1.9h and refunded it.
it's fun
i pirated it, played it for 190h and then bought it
Becomes boring after getting to the parallel world
+
Homing plasma totally kills the challenge
i did not find a tele bolt until temple last run and i meticulously cleared everything besides hiisi base and the one before temple. i got ukko'd 30 seconds later when ane fell in the holy mountain after i shot a black hole up and got flooded with electrified worm blood and water.

i achieved godhood once and never played again
The only flaw is the game not having at LEAST 1 serious digging tool in the main path or on the wands in The Tower.
No time limit, a pretty huge flaw
