Having a high restart rate and replaying through the first couple of areas over and over. To keep it fresh they couldve had another 2 starting points that then converge into 1 at around the jungle. So theres more variety at the start.
Game gets boring and shittier the more you know about it
the game starts out as whimsical wizard adventures
then when not going for the basic b***h ending it becomes a fricking slogfest where every try takes 35 minutes to get going and to finish it it takes +5 hours and good luck getting the 34th orb
and instead of relying on skill or wits you just stack perks to reduce and eliminate as many game mechanics as possible due to poor balancing
>Game gets boring and shittier the more you know about it
pretty much this. the epitome of wasted potential in it's current state it's just a shit game.
This is what makes it so good imo, it can be both perfectly based on your playstyle. You can run through and find your own secrets and easter eggs just enjoying the map as you go at your own pace. Or you can go full autist and hit the wiki/map and go for completionism.
Way too many useless spells
Too many gimmick mechanics
Some starts are just complete dogshit and virtually impossible to turn around. The majority, even.
that's a pretty meh build anyway dude. dps is too low and you will always have mana problems with it

every single run is winnable, especially vanilla which is easy as frick. ive gotten 10 wins in a row and i didnt have that many hours in the game. literally just use chainsaw double spell spark bolt, which you can obtain in nearly every run because vanilla's spell pool is so small and chainsaw is really common in the first shop. then save all your gold for perk rerolls, really simple and easy wins
I get that, but using two materials is kinda a waste, no? he could remove the blood crit & blood material, toss Mu up there and duplicate all of the oil crits, bloodlust, etc
>buried propane tanks are bullshit for how much damage they do and no they are not always visible >perk reroll cost scales way too hard for how many of them are complete trash you'd never take >sometimes the first level literally has no wands spawn and going into the mines with a peashooter fricking sucks >if you get the jungle modifier with fruit blocking every path every 5 seconds in the first level you have to restart if you're not a fricking masochist
honestly by far the worst part of the game is having to slog through the beginning
Gives me great pleasure to know that only us can enjoy Noita at 100% since lot of the world building requires you to understand the names and the mythology behind them.
To hard
Its easier for me to kill a fire guy with my wand and not get hit compared to trying to spray him with water
Cant know what spells do unless you get one and try it out but good luck experimenting you gotta start from scratch
Drilling out of the temple angers the gods
The worms are too scary
The gods are scary
IDK what salt or bone does
I have 7400 HP after visiting 5 or 6 parallel worlds and all immunities. I want to do the 33 orb run. Where do I find them all? Do I need to look up a map or can I find them through clues somewhere?
I hate to say this but if you actually want to do 33 orb run you should arm yourself with wiki knowledge
it's tedious and you need to break the game to have any chance
You have to go to New Game+, so make sure you have everything you need from your current world, since most of the minibosses will be completely missing (no Alchemist for example)
Since the orbs are somewhat randomized, pic related gives you a general range of where they could possibly be.
I recommend not just getting all the immunities, but also finding out how to make projectiles heal you instead of damaging you with a weakening mage. He'll also help you with your journey to New Game+ if you don't want to carry over a permanent damage increase to everything.
Iirc, there's no cheevo pillar for killing 33 orb Kolmi
Is there any site that shows you what perks/spells/enemies you're missing for 100% completion? I mean with an in-game UI kind of design? Looking through the wiki is hard at least with the spells, there's way too many and I'm finding it hard to find what it is I'm missing
Can you still do the weak mage exploit if you have projectile replusion and personal shield? I can't get hit by anything with those on. Also, nothing really can even hurt you with all immunities, except for poison, frozen liquid and sawblades
if you have melee immunity just walk into the monster and wait for it to shoot you, should work
Anyone know if the Meat area in the base game currently or do I have to play on the beta build for it? Its full of heart pieces and weak mages.
Also Doom Marines.
They went way too hard on secret bullshit. The basic core loop from spawn to boss is terribly underdeveloped when considering all the content this game has elsewhere.
I agree in a way for the sake of replayability but discovering all the secret stuff by yourself is very enjoyable and makes the world of the game feel more cohesive instead of just a bunch of levels on succession. Also I wouldn't say the main loop is terribly underdeveloped by any means, I'm still finding stuff after 50 hours of playtime
Repetitive level arrangement
Wands essentially reward you for making a gun rather than doing chemistry
Not really any early game bosses and the regular final boss sucks ass
Kinda ugly
>roguelike >save file structure is absolute unoptimized ass >physics sim first, game second approach, and suffers for it
Thankfully most of those problems can be circunvented, making it a decent game despite the efforts of the devs to ruin such a neat idea.
The thing that irritates me the most is how the game randomizes spells/wands, I swear I can't find add mana for 10 runs but in the next one there's like 5 of them and this cycle keeps repeating. Also the start is slow as hell.
Too many fricking secrets.
Some are fine, others are harder but still fine.
Then there's just the most absurd bullshit you could write an entire thesis on.
>wand building is a fricking snore and takes ages to "figure" out >most spells are genuinely fricking useless >a lot of enemies aren't fun at all (spiders that are immune to everything except melee, creeper flying dudes that send attacks back if you don't hit them with one big thing) >inventory limit is fricking ass >most of the areas are genuinely fricking useless save for an easter egg sometimes or meme spell >hell there's even closed off giant areas where you can't do a thing except kill some mobs and grab wands >most of the secrets are impossible to get to without googling (only ones doable legit being things like Kantele & Coral + Hell chests) >needing to get a 0.00000000000000000000000001% chance chest to get the amulet of yondor if you don't use a specific glitch exploit of the game is moronic >for as initially fun as the alchemy/mixing system is, there's little use to it outside of changing poison into water and water into mana >cool mixes like alchemic precusor and healing water are seed based >some areas are too fricking big and you end up having to fall/climb for 30 minutes to get anywhere (hell, lake, empty, ice caves, ...) >ghost of your past that can show up at any time if you don't have mods and can just telefrag you from 200 meters away if the game decided to save one of your OP wands from an old run
to get a 0.00000000000000000000000001% chance chest to get the amulet of yondor if you don't use a specific glitch exploit of the game is moronic
This is just because we don't know how to do it legit yet
>only ones doable legit being things like Kantele & Coral + Hell chests
the sun quest is detailed in tablets, even with some redundancy
I did like 3/4ths of it before ever checking a wiki
It's a game that does not respect your time. It's a huge fricking timewaster, while being extremely random and it forces you to play the least interesting sections of the game over and over and over again. And if you do get lucky on a seed and get the means to bypass that shit, be prepared for 5 to 10 minutes of doing literally nothing.
I'm currently wasting
760 hours in Hunt Showdown
2700 hours in warframe
406 hours in Factorio
423 hours in MGS5 (somehow, with no multiplayer playtime)
575 hours in Borderlands 2
My Noita playtime is only 200 hours, I had to stop playing because it was eating my life, like Factorio and Mountain Blade does
I wish you could heal through some food. I often find myself leaving the holy mountain only to be met with a really difficult combination of enemies and no real escape route, which often leads to a section beginning at 20 hp which is just shitty.
I want to enjoy a game without checking the wiki and by enjoying the game I mean not doing the same thing over and over again then seeing one new thing and instantly dying to it because I had no way to predict it'd oneshot me (other than the fact that everything in this game oneshots you)
You don't need a wiki to get a 4-orb run, the conditions for it are pretty obvious- mountain and pyramid orbs are tedious but obvious, once you figure out way past lava lake you steal squidward orb, hear the lava lake orb on your way down and come back with black holes, plasma or lumis, and figure out that you can go up from frozen depths with no digging. Experimenting with obvious spell combos can get you through the game on many runs, and if you are cautious you can make do with just holy mountain health. Practice runs with fixdd seeds and later starts are a good way to learn.
I didn't know what orbs are until I saw it somewhere online, I kept going downwards because that's what it felt like the game wanted me to do, there was some weird tree on the left that didn't do anything special as far as I could tell, all the spells I could find without dying were too expensive to do anything interesting with or just shit 95% of the times, why do I need to practice with fixed seeds to enjoy the game, what are later starts?
I feel bad for you
Not having the basic human instinct to explore
What's on the other side of this lava lake? Its a Bridge! What's on the other side of that? A mystery temple?
Wow there sure is a lot of water under this tree
Hey I can swim right, where does this tunnel go? Mystery Cavern?!?
There's a big tree to my left, what happens if I go to the right?
Oh wow there's a desert! And a Pyramid! w0w!
Oh hey I spent 15 minutes trying to get somewhere, will have zero clue as to what to do about it and will die instantly, wiping all my progress, overall spending hours to figure out what I'd learn by reading a one page long wiki page. It doesn't feel worth all the retries to me, trust me I do have patience, I finished Rain World without even feeling like it was that unfair, but with this game it's just way more frustration than satisfaction no matter how much I try playing it
nothing wrong with getting some training wheels to learn the game
there's the holy mountain respawn mod if losing progress is something that frustrates you
Issue of lacking curiosity. Going straight down you don't explore, don't get gold and don't get wands.
With a practice run you get to experiment with a bag of spells knowing you can always restart and experiment with the same spells again. Say, in a normal run casting nuke inside HM will usually kill you, whether by blast, debris or Steve, but in a practice run you can figure out ways to use it effectively over several runs of getting it.
Literally how?
On my second run I think I went right instead of down and tried to make my way through the lava lake and found an orb there, and on my third run I tried to climb above the mountain and found the pyramid.
I hate ghosts
I kept dying pathetically in low level floors with high tier wands and my ghosts sometimes spawn with end game bs
That's why I run using a skin, mods disable them unless you have the other mod to enable them again
its a bit too rng, ive had alot of runs where I wont find a single wand in the first level somehow or by the time I get to the ice or lab level im still underwhelming underpowered
best runs are usually by cheesing the optional first boss but idk if they fixed that, also the secrets in this game are for some of the biggest masochists and thats where alot of the content is
Someone should make a rougelike that isn't completely crippled by snowballing. Tbf this game does snowballing really well compared to most, all the subtle skill issues mean you are never truly invincible, but its still has that "I will now be bored until I finish the run or die because of my boredom" or "there is literally nothing I can do, the last x minutes of my life have just been wasted because of rng" moments.
>"I will now be bored until I finish the run or die because of my boredom"
that's when you start fricking around
remember that omega saw you didn't buy three shrines ago? go threre, buy it and either weaponize it or die trying.
The difficulty is extremely frontloaded. Once you kill the alchemist and can go farm parallel worlds for perks the difficulty drops out of the game.
You can become near unkillable and all the super bosses become jokes.
Some effects are inconsistent, like how All Seeing Eye the spell doesn't work in some areas but the perk does.
A number of the endgame super secret stuff is needlessly tedious needing ultra rare stuff or are too time consuming.
Like Silver for the Nullifying Altar. Or all the elemental stones for the Sun Quest. Or farming perks necessary to survive the Sun Quest.
Polymorph is bullshit.
Depending on what you get, there are two schools of thought- make one high-power projectile, or make a rapid-fire wand. Drop shuffle wands unless they have spells you need or they have 500+ mana recovery and short enough delays, latter can keep up with rapidfire lumis for a while, otherwise hard-focus on non-shufflers because that's where the meat is. Trigger/timer spells, chainsaws, lumis (non-trigger ones only if early game) and add mana are instabuys, get them even if you need to drop a good wand for it, they are never bad. Multicasts are nice to have, rotate the smaller ones for bigger ones as you go.
resource intensive
high rng dependence
i don't know finnish
it's noita good game
indie pixelshit that i will never play
Your loss

My favourite way of diversifying mines and pits is random starting perk mod. Lots of perks you wouldn't normally pick.

did i just get wojak'd? that enrages me
no you got hal'd from megamind
Looks like shit. Probably plays like it too. Looks like it copies Terraia's combat which is not much brag about to begin with.
It plays nothing like terrariaslop
it plays exactly like terraria
t. Has never played Noita or Terraria
i played both, noita is just spraying the aqua scepter around in terraria
>it plays like 1 very specific weapon in a game where you can beat it 10000 times and never find it
>it's copying terraria
Anon you really don't need to try so hard to be wrong on every turn. It really plays nothing like terraria's combat at all.
>Looks like it copies
>It plays exactly like
so why do you initally imply you haven't played it and then imply you played it?
you are certainly a JRPG homosexual
think before you shit out of your mouth
it's annoying when you're flawless run is cut short half way through by a single misstep
Way too many useless spells
Too many gimmick mechanics
Some starts are just complete dogshit and virtually impossible to turn around. The majority, even.
>Way too many useless spells
That anon, i agree with, spells like expanding orb are dogshit
I want more spells
just lost a luminous drill bouncing spell run
what do I do to cope
that's a pretty meh build anyway dude. dps is too low and you will always have mana problems with it

then the rest of the game is boring as shit because 75% of the runtime is gonna be slowly waddling around / tping around while oneshotting everything
it was on a reforged broken wand that had pretty good mana recharge
I wish I could play it with my friends 🙁
what is the point of autistic wands like this
the ultimate 33orb final boss has a trillion hp
you have to deal like 100 million DPS to kill it
what's going on with the top wand?
I know about guarantee crit on material, but why use two materials (blood + oil)? Isn't one type enough?
He's got a blood crit and oil crit, so I guess he needs both, right?
crits stack and act like crit multi
I get that, but using two materials is kinda a waste, no? he could remove the blood crit & blood material, toss Mu up there and duplicate all of the oil crits, bloodlust, etc
materials also have a lot of reduced recharge/cast so they do have benefits
once i beat the game i stopped caring, and i'm not gonna go through that parallel worlds + 21 orbs bs either
or unlocking spell effects that just kys
>buried propane tanks are bullshit for how much damage they do and no they are not always visible

>general range where they could be

yeah ok
not a problem once you make a good travel wand. don't even need to worry about polymorph in the solid rock areas, you can go as fast as you want
No cute girls
the main character literally is a girl and what could be cuter than experimenting with spells and genociding the god damn hiisi?
The game falls apart the moment you step outside of the basic start at top go to bottom loop.
Too much secret autism and power level frickery.
tedious when bad rng
crashes when going to pw's or ng+ loops

it doesn't, you just need to explore and solve lore puzzles
Oh yeah? Solve the eye puzzle on your own then.
I already solved it. No I won't tell you what the solution is
It's a cool game, not a fun game. Maybe "it gets fun after 50 hours" but I don't feel like investing that much into it.
It actually gets worse with time. First 10 hours are the best ones.
S-surely this will be the run and I will find these ingredients easily.
I am somewhat of a pro gamer
I hate ghosts
I kept dying pathetically in low level floors with high tier wands and my ghosts sometimes spawn with end game bs
That's why I run using a skin, mods disable them unless you have the other mod to enable them again
ALCHEMICAL
Nice, frick those frickers
Nothing like dunking them with a tablet
>ghosts start kicking tablets at you
It takes hours to get to the part of the game I'm actually interested in.
ABSOLUTE
HIISI
DESTRUCTION
Hiisii dismiisi
its a bit too rng, ive had alot of runs where I wont find a single wand in the first level somehow or by the time I get to the ice or lab level im still underwhelming underpowered
best runs are usually by cheesing the optional first boss but idk if they fixed that, also the secrets in this game are for some of the biggest masochists and thats where alot of the content is
>Find a flaw.
Not enough wizard memes.
You need more?
I’ve just been using a lumi wand with ping pong path in my run but it’s getting really boring
Help me make a super killer wand
>Help me make a super killer wand
Just be yourself, anon.
>tele on slot 3
Fricking lunatic.
How do you come up with decent wands?
Autism.
Pray for chainsaws and good spell modifiers.
Multicasts are nice to have, rotate the smaller ones for bigger ones as you go.
>can't force spawn rare mobs
>will literally never find a heart mimic
>rogue
>lite
I play this game blinded expecting rpg with upgrade skill and shit, remove it after
15m
Why are Hiisi so based and totally not the monsters they are portrayed as?
Lay off the charm potion anon.
>t.
Have to install mods for the real YerAWizard experience.
