That does raise concerns if gamers don't know his work, though. I mean, he did the animated LotR cartoon. I didn't realize his stuff was being lost with time. He's also responsible for the entire furry genre but that's for another board.

I admit, my first reaction to [...] was not as polite as yours. I'll forgive people not knowing Rocket Robin Hood, even Fritz the Cat, and I always felt Cool World couldn't get out of Roger Rabbit's shadow. But we are failing the culture if new generations don't recognize the name behind Wizards and LotR.
I have a two giant hardcover books with gloss art belonging to Vallejo and Frazetta each, and I watched wizards, altho NGL I like Heavy Metal more
That's my excuse lol, chill
Gorge yourself on one of the cornerstones of fantasy cinema.

Yeah. Only reason I know what Fire & Ice is because it was recently shown at Robert's Kinoplex. And I've played RPGs since like 1990. I think it's harsh requirement for people to know a niche animated film from 1983.
Bad guys always are. If you don't want to be called a Nazi, all you have to do is not associate yourself with the current bad guys. It's really rather simple, so I'm unsurprised you don't get it
It's extremely cheesy.
WWII war propaganda belongs in WWII.

There's a way to do that without flashing actual WWII footage and images of le evil mustache man on the screen.
You need take it any further, sir
Wizards was released the same year that NSPA vs Skokie was decided (as commemorated three years later in the Blues Brothers.) Literal, actual Nazis were contemporary to Wizards' production. The movie shows a twisted, evil creature discovering Nazi film reels and saying "I can use this" and the other side realizing that holding hands and singing Kumbaya isn't enough to deal with people like that but a Luger is.

It has nothing to do with it being "contemporary to Wizard's production" and everything to do with Bakshi's Early Life.

As much as I like the spiritual inspiration behind this, I'd probably walk past by a box with such name

I'm a shill, but I have standards. And of my top six google results for "fire & ice kickstarter" only one is for anything else.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dynamiteent/fire-and-ice-the-miniatures-board-game
At the risk of tanking what little interest there may be, they also locked a lot of minis behind ridiculous stretch goals. They say they have a plan B if they don't get unlocked, but still haven't said what that is. They haven't even released what the stretch minis look like, and no word on what the non-mini stretch goals are. I don't know if they didn't really expect it to be funded at all or just didn't care, but it's not a well-planned campaign and there's almost no advertising. Is this how Dynamite kickstarters normally go?
I was very excited to check it out, but then >very few miniatures >only enemies are subhumans (of which 8x are the same pose) >no stretch goals seem to have prehistoric beasts or any other fun kind of enemy
At least it's comparatively cheap, but I'm not sold

This is an old Bakshi film... not the first time he got an RPG
Ah, ok then I'm just ignorant, sorry

You should watch it. It's metal as frick.
>Bakshi
His LotR movies were pretty good.
Wizards was fricking laughable
>le bad guys are literally heck'n Naziarinos!
Never say an unkind word about Wizards! Me and Silent Bob modeled our whole lives after Avatar and Weehauk!

Authoritarianism is the enemy depicted and it is currently in both red and blue parties. Necron 99 aka peace.

This was his best one.
There, I said it.
Wizards would like a word.

Everyone on this board should know the Death Dealer.
>Rocket Robin Hood,
This was just the same 12 frames flipped, sliced, zoomed in on and exploded.
>Everyone on this board should know the Death Dealer.
Molly Hatchet is pretty cool
>"absolutely shilling for this"
>no link
My searches keep bringing up ASOIAF stuff.

I should have searched "kickstarter" instead of "rpg".
Thanks!
NEKROOOOON!
>I want to see all the based Frazetta minis get unlocked.
Where is the spice in the stretch goals? Seems relatively tame to me.
What is with Bakshi selling his screenshots this year.
I thought it was an amazing looking film, and the villain was cool, but otherwise it was kind of meh.
Why can't we get another Wizards game?
i thought dynamite was getting out the board games.
they drop all their previous
and do a fire and ice kickstater?

Probably should've been a higher quality set of larger "art figurines" rather than a miniature game in a market flooded with better options.
