Fire Emblem Fates Conquest is one of my favorite games ever but surprisingly I never played the other routes because I didn't want to betray Nohr and because I heard they're not as good as Conquest.
Should I try at least Revelations to understand the story better? I only know what people told me.

well thanks Ganker
>Should I try at least Revelations to understand the story better?
If you REALLY want to see the """true path""" then sure I guess, it's a nightmare and a slog and the story sucks like the other 2 routes.
it's better to pretend revelations doesn't exist
I'm playing Echoes right now as my first FE.
I tried emulating it but the dungeon crawling part was really laggy and the audio was all kinds of fricked.
>Posting worst girl
You have great taste for liking Conquest's gameplay, but I'm surprised you give a shit at all about Fates's story.
Echoes is unlike every other game in the series. It's so weird having to travel to promote, having only 7 classes, and only having one item in your inventory.
That's probably why I picked it up. I don't think I'll like the other games.
I just want to know more about Anankos and Valla
>and only having one item in your inventory
wait, really?
Yes. Check out the bottom screen. Clive can only carry that Steel Lance, and if he ever switches it out, he can't use those Combat Arts anymore.
probably the only game whose writing is so bad Ill never replay it
Have you tried skipping the cutscenes?
Fates is way more replayable than something like 3H with the monastery shit.
Is playing both Eliwood's and Hector's routes worth it or are they too similar
Eliwood's path is just a shitty Hector path
If you're playing it casually, then play eliwood and then go for hector hard mode
If you have injected a 100% save and you're not a fricking moronic casualgay, then go for hard mode hector straight away without Lyn mode bonuses. That's the only good way to play FE7
What are the changes?
More chapters
More characters
Some chapters get some changes to make them more difficult
Lyn mode becomes 100% optional when starting a new game after beating the game once. Picking Lyn mode instead of Hector mode when replaying just completely breaks the experience for the exact reasons you posted. A free angelic robe and energy ring + extra levels completely break the game.
It depends on if you want the hardest difficulty possible, or just want to use the characters you like. I tend to forget about the stat boosters anyway, or just give them to Lucius, Serra, or Wallace
funnily enough there are some things in eliwood hard mode that are actually harder than hector hard mode
I enjoy Lyn mode, gives some additional units I like a headstart, plus a free angelic robe and energy ring, even if you don't like it you can skip story and zoom through it within about half an hour I'd imagine. Frick grinding Nils up
revelations does indeed contain the true ending, and has the biggest roster of characters
worth playing but it is overall an inferior game, conquest feels so much better
Revelation is complete crap and what I consider the worst fire emblem period. Don’t.
Shut up mangs
Conquest has fun gameplay but the story is by far the worst. Let’s enable our adoptive Hitler daddy for vast majority of the game instead of rebelling against him!
To be fair, Nohr family aren't exactly good guys.
Revelations is only there fi you want a sandbox where you have most characters alive, like Awakening or SS postgame, not for anything else. BR is all right, gets more hate than its due, but I still don't feel like replaying any of the Fates games
i did the same but with birthright. i couldn't bring myself to start over once i finished it so to this day i still have no idea what happens with the story
>i didn't want to betray nohr
All timelines are canon including the ones where anankos wins and fricks up other timelines in order to consume the other anankos and become a multi-dimensional super dragon god thing
Bump
OP should’ve posted fanart instead, then the thread wouldn’t die
If only he put dragons bad in the OP...
I don’t get it
Because that was only the first half. Here's the second.
So Corrin learns to do what they already do in their own game?
she's not the brightest of the bunch.
Also I just collected Corrin x Ridley art.
hack your 3DS so you can play the unit swap patch and use the hoshido characters in conquest

OH SHIT I've been wanting to play something like that for fricking years
Is it properly balanced at the very least?
>Should I try at least Revelations to understand the story better?
There's a giant dragon who lives in a magic kingdom underground and he made Garon evil.
There, that's Revelations's entire plot for you.
>Fire Emblem Fates Conquest is one of my favorite games ever but surprisingly I never played the other routes
I don't think you've even played another Fire Emblem to be honest.
I played Conquest, Awakening, Blazing Blade and Three Houses so far.
Conquest was an excellent game, Awakening was good, Blazing Blade was boring and 3H was shit.
Try Binding Blade, Thracia 776, or the Tellius games.
Revelations is pretty fricking bad, but Birthright is underrated. The maps aren't as interesting as Conquest, but the core gameplay is still good, and it's not ruined by gimmicks like Revelations. Just don't grind or abuse Ryoma and it's fun.
>understand the story
Its ass. You arent missing anything. Birthright is a pretty good game though, its about average compared to other FE games but everyone shits on it because its not conquest
I’m never betraying Nohr
Absolutely based
The gameplay is strong but EVERYTHING around it, except the music (which is good in every FE), is fricking awful. Even then I still found certain maps frustrating and certain mechanics just annoying instead of fun.
