It is unfortunate I couldn't get more than the spark, but I'm happy about Finish fodder and, almost as important, a reason to roll blue for Marcia merges.
I was able to get 5, out of the 8 that I needed. I had pulled 1 from DSH, 1 was free, then sparked the third. Then I pulled FIVE Corrins and 0 Lyns.
I would say for most people ascended celica for the floret. In your case Eirika.
for others that have celica already Lynn or Corrin for the rare SI fodder.
I have never cashed in a divine code of any sort. I only ever cash in the monthly rotating ones. I am a brainlet at making favorite units into projects.

it hasn't worked all that well for me for the last few years now but I'm being stubborn, because the alternative is consciously acknowledging that the game balance is so fricked that a +/-20% atk swing in optimal conditions isn't enough to definitively win a matchup now

It's an entire bible, but unless she's a Res monsters, it's just a unit you have to kill on PP with a canto tome. Unless I misread, there's no NCD so any unit with flash or e-girlchel should kill her easily, or at least chip her and be able to run.

With her base kit you can fight her at a range, although that would likely take quite a bit of effort since you'd have to outspeed her when she's likely gonna have a billion Spd or something

Yeah, but no special on both sides means it goes down to pure Atk and Def, so I feel it's one of those scenarios where BIG EPIK NUMBERS actually matter. Just get a huge def tank and chip her to death.

Tried this just now on the story mode one with a 70-80+ Atk/Def blue tank. Did like 15-20 damage to her, and then took like 20-25 back in return from the true damage passive x2, probably would've been 30+ if not for my tank's own damage reduction. I eventually won the matchup pretty reliably, but only because Bastian and other enemies kept jumping into the fight to sabotage her and give free healing.
She's pretty obnoxious, with an actual full build/more stats or sustain on the S-slot she can either 1v1 huge def blue tanks or do a shitton of damage to them before going down, assuming anyone even rolls for her before some OC gets her kit but better in a month.
I've ran into like 3 +10 Lucias, 2 with Legendary Eliwood support.
And that's before actually giving her a Special which, despite not activating, can still help her out.
Ironically, it's the offensive Vital Astra that has defensive capabilities (since the permanent uptime means 30% DR per hit, in addition to the DR she gets from her weapon and Repel) and the defensive Godlike Reflexes for more power with its true damage and all.
I don't think she's invincible but she's gonna be annoying to fight for sure.
The only way I managed to kill her was my opponent making a mistake and allowing her to take an AoE indirectly.
I'm not sure she'll age well given how much stats modern prfs can give to a unit, but for now at least she's a b***h to deal with.
They could at least have the decency to give this shit to an actual tank, someone that A) isn't meant to be an offensive threat B) and that it makes thematic sense on
since Godlike Reflexes and Vital Astra have extra effects that are tied to the special being charged, and she can't actually trigger her special anyway, Lucia can presumably run either of those to get a third form of damage reduction (for Vital Astra) or an extra 15% true damage based on speed (for Godlike Reflexes) once her special is charged.
Maybe that's why she has +3 Atk on her weapon, because being able to precharge Vital Astra or GLR that easily to get those extra effects on top of the Parity would be a bit too much
just run infantry pulse support or some shit, she only has 40 HP

I have to ask you an aware of not reading person. How the frick do the finish 4 skills work in terms of healing the unit? Initially I thought they healed whenever an ally was in range of the aura and the unit did damage. I'm starting to realize that it EXCLUSIVELY heals ONLY if someone is within the aura and the unit performs their special. Alas I lack the reading comprehension to understand how these skills are getting with all their if/then (but/also((if within 3 spaces of))[not counting rokkr area of effect]{based on Units res >= allied units def - Units Atk closest to them on the map} *when not resplendent or merged*
You get the extra damage AND the healing IF

This one honestly pisses me off a little, it's not like FEH has been remotely a "strategic" game for a while, but one of the few basic tactics you even had in the game was dragging a newer unit hard statchecking your bonus unit in Arena over to a fort.
Now even that's gone, this new unit can and will just statcheck your entire team and there's no playing around it with proper positioning or anything, just hoping you have a new blue mage who can do 3x her max HP in one hit (pretty believable these days) or a new blue tank, and considering how she'll be doing probably 15x2 true damage per fight with the tank she'll probably be able to win that too.
I know a friend of mine is gonna go hard on this banner. As much as I'd like to roll, I need to save for Yunaka, or possibly roll a bit on the Hero Fest for Mareeta merges.

For Lady Serra, yes. I prefer wrathful 4, at the very least. But with time pulse the new special seems to be miles better since I can activate it on a single combat.

I would take Celica for free floret if you don't care about fodder, or go for arena high score. I still get 3-4 orbs a week from arena with just basic bonus units. Roy for LHB/RB is an option too, but IMO a floret is more valuable. That being said, ascended units should be in the base summoning pool, and could pity break you at some point.

Assist and Special: Any 500 sp assist skill and Ruptured Sky.
The thing is, she's so versatile that any set would be good on her. I think a near/far save set is the best choice since I already have Summer Edelgard with galeforce for pure offense.

I'd say Near Save though since Far Save would require DC, and all you get at most is an extra stat, while Near Save can let you use stuff like Close Def 4 for enemy buff null or Unity to give you a huge stat swing if you get debuffed (likely, since she'll likely get hit by Chill Def or other effects)
Yeah I will probably stick to a variations of Near Save, I already have 2 Far Save and only one reliable Near Safe in Ascended Idunn. Maybe have her in a team with Legendary Tiki and buff her defenses even more while also being protected.

Yes, but it seems to be that the Valentine's banner was a complete fluke. New Heroes, Special Heroes and Legendary/Mythic Hero banners shouldn't be in the update until they're actually added, so knowing them ahead of time might not be a normal thing going forward.

I mean having it helps for sure, but everyone and their mother having NFU Prfs means the half the effects on them are fricked from the get go, the arcanes basically can't help at all with the (presumable) purpose of mitigating speedcreep for older units
IS turning NFU from a dedicated Bold Fighter armor era counterpick into a "this new unit ignores any counterpick skills to try to catch up with its powercreep, better roll for something even newer" Prf skill really still haunts them to this day

Messing with the Stat Sim now that's updated to include Focus Charges, and getting 9 copies of the focus Red unit (assuming it's for CYL, as you'll be able to get at least 2 copies from free pick and spark) went down from ~2100 orbs for a 90% chance to get all of them, to ~1800 orbs for the same chance.
I'm sure this information won't make me do any reckless decisions with my orbs in the future.

Well you'll always be behind on Sacred Seals since we seem to get the currency to upgrade them at a similar rate that they get released, and if you're new you even have to spend a little extra on the old ones you've missed. Some are much better than others, though, so you can skip the bad ones.
Aside from those, honestly you should be fine since new units are typically busted as frick these days. Reroll for a couple and you'll be good to go for story missions until you get more accustomed to the various skills to look out for and start building currency like grails. Lucia seems to be the new hotness.

Lucia feels like she'll be a long-lasting threat since her gimmick is that she ignores most of what the game is built around. I'd say go for it if you wouldn't mind spending that many orbs on a character that presumably isn't one of your favorites.
Nta but would you guys really suggest going for Lucia? I just feel like that's a case of new toy syndrome, like, I think someone brought up the comparison between Mikoto and Medeus. Mikoto introduced Canto Control on her weapon, then Medeus brought the skill into the game, so he became the go to for, well, controlling the opponent's Canto.
Which is to say, now that Lucia has introduced the effect of simply preventing the opponent's Special from activating, I'm gonna bet that we'll see some other unit with that effect soon, or any of the other denial effects that Lucia has but only on the opponent, even if they try to lock it behind a stat check or something.
Something like another Zelgius or Ike, call it Nihil.
Maybe I'm really underestimating Lucia, but it just seems jarring to think that she's on the level of Fallen Edelgard.
For players who roll for every new unit and/or follow the meta, Lucia is just a minor inconvenience like any other powercreep unit. Most of those players already have the right tools to deal with her (L!Shez, L!Nanna, B!Dimitri, W!Cordelia).
But I can see how she can be a nightmare for people who just play with their favorites, since they just can't keep up with her stats-wise even at high investment. I think that's why people hype her so much.
In the end she's just an infantry sword that relies too much on her speed like many others before her, and she'll become obsolete as faster units are added.

If you didn't have an Edel counter or a modern unit with enough BIG STAT NUMBERS to fight her, you could at least jump through some hoops to fight her - have an entire team buff your own tank past her stats, come at her with precharged specials, or bait her to terrain. Lucia explicitly shuts down all 3 of those options
Like I've never bothered to bring a colorless-advantage unit to fight FEdel, meanwhile the 10-map marathon ending in Lucia/Elincia was the first time in years I bothered to bring an extra counterpick unit because I knew she'd easily 1v1 a single blue (and in the end I had to bodythrow my entire team since 2 wasn't enough with her bloated HP)
I'd say she's probably not worth going for since there's no way her kit doesn't get copy pasted but better onto some new book OC/new lord alt in a month or two, but I said the same about Maria's flat DR back then and the distribution of that Prf effect can still be counted on one hand
I will die on the hill that S!Maria is a sleeper hit, and that the only reason we don't see more of her in PvP is because the Literal God of FEH stole her gimmick before she could popularize it.

Personally I find the current banners a little lackluster as far as "meta defining" units go outside of maybe Lucia. The 4 blue and green units on the double seasonal banner are alright (Corrin, Corrin, Laegjarn, Cherche).
And I have a hard time selling Lucia to a new player because, while she's good, you'll have to also give her a few skills since for some reason, although most modern new units are given their close-to-ideal skill sets out of the box, Lucia wasn't given the same treatment and you'll have to roll for another 2 or 3 units to finish her up.

Healing won't matter unless you're refreshing her. She takes 1 damage at the start of each turn. Ideal sucks because she won't be at full HP. Push is okay if you can finish before her HP falls below 25%. Life and Death is nice for soaking up debuffs and shit. Remote Sparrow let's her survive is she somehow can't kill, maybe, probably not.

She's always gonna have the Warp status for what that's worth though, so it is gonna be +7 Atk/Spd for free, just that you can't get the extra +2

SS4 still sounds like a better option to me since it can pre charge the special to kill those units
Tempo isn't bad on Lysithea, not at all, you do potentially more damage, and you can ensure stuff like Luna on her second hit
But I think Special Spiral 4 is her ultimate option, even if you have to go through a hoop or two to precharge it, like getting Time's Pulse
I summoned for Rearmed Ophelia and now I have both her and Lysithea as DR-proof delete buttons, which helps a lot given how ridiculous DR can get now, barring the Special based DR; Ophelia's Luna and Lysithea's Dragon Fang hit very hard

Finish isn't bad on her since her prf actually damages her at the start of each turn. Unless you're using her with dancers, the healing won't ever be relevant.

I did fairly well in the cloud rank stuff but eventually stopped caring.
Allow me to explain:

It's all quite synergistic and has a frick ton of healing. It's a pretty neat looking build and I kinda wanna try it if I eventually get Rearmed Grima myself (who you can inherit her eponymous dragon breath from).

It's telling how one of the most powerful skills was Null Follow-Up, which prevented any follow-up manipulation, but now, that's just a given or a standard on modern units, and given out for free several times for free units

I'm personally of the opinion "if everybody is broken, nobody is broken". Most of my barracks is still year 1-3 units and there's probably less than 5 units in the game that worry me.
I'm in a pretty similar state with my own roster, but it's also important to remember that the nature of this game means that

Like I get the appeal, or when it had one, but I simply don't find FE to be the best game to be played in a PvP setting. I'm in it only for the collection aspect. And if before I had somewhat a slight interest in getting into it now I have 0 because those wall-of-texts for each new weapon and unit that comes out doesn't help. Get pretty unit, max it and give it good skills and my monkey brain is happy.
Arena was pretty much the only one that was salvageable tbh, though even it had its problems. At least it wasn't limited to a certain number of plays per week, which is my problem with the other pvp gamemodes. In arena if somebody fricked you up, you just started over or whatever, in cancer raids if somebody fricked you up that means the whole week is basically shot.

8 times, you mean. I don't remember the last time I got less than the max available offense score I can get. 7 ladders is really generous.
Oh, I'm certainly not saying it ever had appeal. FE's damage formulas and base game mechanics being designed around "don't let anyone die, and also matchups swing one way or the other instantly" work very poorly with pseudo-PvP and even more poorly with actual PvP, and lend themselves to all the shit they've been selling in this kusoge for the last years (teleporting units, mobility frickery, units that kill 99% of the game, units that survive the aforementioned unit).
It's just that there's almost no content in the game that isn't user-generated due to IS's laziness, unless you count the 100 monthly training tower runs as content. If I understand it right, it's some kind of weird interaction with Save skills, and since Lucia disables AoE Specials from activating, even though it's shown that that Ophelia should beat Hector, the AoE doesn't go off, she only gets one hit in, and then she dies, even though the combat forecast says it should work

I personally believe the final banner will be S!Edel, N!Camilla, Formortiis, and Chrom. Reasons being S!Edel being a character favorite and scores well enough in arena for being an armored unit. Camilla winning for F!Edel hate for being an outclassed unit nowadays. Formortiis for being dubbed F!Edel 2: Electric Boogaloo. Chrom for being a still powerful unit to face against and amazing arena unit. If most of these aren't correct I'll be surprised. I'd personally want the final banner to be Veronica, Camilla, Grima, and Ophelia though.

Harsh Command will remove your own debuffs and turn them into buffs, yes
NFU will also stop all of Robin's follow-up nonsense, so it becomes a Spd check, but you also have to match said Spd because he still has a pretty huge stat swing against you

#TMS didn't just cut content, they redid all the assets for the gravure/swimsuit dungeon, actually got the original devs to make "silly clothing" models and replace all the background assets in with said silly clothing. It's his second best asset after Def, but it's impossible to keep up with the latest unit's spd stats. There aren't many useful C skills on HoF for infantry anyways.

What kind of damage reduction can I get on dimitri I want to milk this HoF im pulling him and edel baby girl to make a super tank. She's got what she needs and I have odds and ends fodder for her but dimitri is a little trickier. Also I just took my sleeping pills so I'm trying here.
He has true dmg reduction through def, so if you just want to take less damage you need to invest in def, not speed. He just isn't that fast, the problem is that there aren't any inheritable def based damage reduction skills so speed is the next best thing, if there were a def boosting finish skill it'd be better for him

Hall of Forms needs to be a more frequent event. More opportunities to get a unit players care about and more Forma Soul purchases for IS.
They don't need to make it more frequent, they just need to increase the pool of units you can select. I'm sure some people wouldn't mind using a forma soul on an old unit, but the odds are it may never get selected. upping the pool to 8-10 units you can craft a team from would be much better.

It's not bad, because even though it's not full DR piercing, it's still some kind of DR piercing. Plus it occupies the B slot which is where such an ability (Special Spiral 4) would go anyway.

I just hope the weapon's good but it's probably just gonna be Tempo, true damage, and stats. So pretty much like Ascended Celica.
divine codes 4 has both godlike reflexes with Lyn and Vital Astra with mareeta but they are both at the very end of their line
They also have the worst line-up overall (imo), so it doesn't seem worth it to me.

Well Chrom lost so I guess I'll join the team of the unit I think will cause the least amount of headache if everyone gets one. Persuade me.
I'll tell you it's NOT Camilla. Unless you've built up a lot of huge Res tanks, which really aren't common for melee units, then she's gonna hit first and she's gonna hit hard.
Ophelia means that everyone will have not one, but potentially two sources of damage reduction piercing (Ophelia herself and whoever inherits SS4), so you'd have to be careful if you rely on that.
Veronica can deny counterattacks very easily, and only Fjorm is able to bypass that, except she's green and Veronica's red so she's gonna eat her alive, especially because even without counter denial she can just follow-up consecutively anyway.
So the least amount of headache to fight will be Fomortiis. He's still troublesome, but if you can deal with Edelgard (another armour with huge defenses and damage reduction), you can probably deal with Fomortiis too, just that you have to be careful because of Nightmare.

Gotoh also has that, and a huge enough stat swing to stand a chance against her DR piercing.
Gotoh's been a way better unit than I anticipated because of his ability to soak magic nukers. He might actually age way better than Fomortiis, ironically.
I've honestly found Gotoh far more of a pain to break through than Fomortiis. Even with his DR turned off, Gotoh has so many Atk-dropping skills.

The next best thing would be to have the queen's blade effect of negating opponents from activating their special all together when in-combat against the user or hit with a new debuff with that effect until end of turn.

Older/bad prf characters would be reviewed, newer strategies would be attempted, and other than Lucia being more relevant than ever, things would be a lot more interesting

I find Nowi a special case. People see Nowi at face value and deemed her a child character despite her acting childish and mature depending on who she is speaking to. Unlike Tiki(child) and Fae who act more like actual children from their dialogue.

I'm doing deathless runs with +10 units decked out with expensive skills besides the legendary bonus unit. How the frick do you guys do it? pic rel not my lilina but an idea for what might work.

said, you only need another source of cooldown reduction at the beginning of the map to ready glacies thanks to Grimoire and TP giving one each. Duo Chrom does that with his assist, As,r does the same just by existing, or you could give infantry pulse to some support unit. I don't know how viable duo Chrom is in Duels anymore though

Not if you use Quickened Pulse seal as well. Basically choosing between
- 80% Res specials with Glacies/TP4/QP (49 damage from this combo using your set's Res)
or
- 50% Res specials with Iceberg/AR Oath 4/QP (35 damage from Res taking the +9 from Oath into account plus the extra 9 Atk).
So the Glacies combo would be slightly stronger (and requires TP4), but the Iceberg combo would give you warping capabilities at the additional cost of risking Panic making that +6 become -6.
Did this update fix the battle preview bug when Lucia is covered by a Save armor? At least I'm presuming it's a bug.

Given how we already have two sources of Remote Sparrow, I'm holding out hope that they'll spam it like most atk/spd skills.
The problem is really that she already has Oath, and Unity basically got powercrept by Finish. It's fine if you don't get better but it's not specifically what you want to shoot for.
Oath 4 sucks on her because she can already teleport with her prf. I just gave mine Def/Res Smoke 3, because she can teleport, hit something and get Pathfinder so my other units can move a bit more.
Oath is kinda wasted since the warp effect is already in her weapon
Also i think it's funny how her literal best A and C skills (remote sparrow and Time pulse 4) missed her by one month

She's one of those "kills anything she's pointed towards" units, but more fragile than others since she has low defenses and no DR. I'd say she's only worth it if you think you could make good use of her duo skill in Summoner Duels or something.

I'm assuming that's what they were trying to "fix" with Binding Worlds, but that's not the greatest system since you have to basically have a friend that has all the skills you want and have a way to get in contact with them to have them set the unit/skills as their BW lead and still have to pray their unit shows up as a selectable reinforcement. Plus the item to redeem them is fricking double the price of a forma soul just because you also get maxed feathers with them, which you may or may not have necessarily needed in the first place.
I was thinking on a player phrase build but that one seems great too. Funnily enough I'm using the dc seal on the brave one. I suppose that atk/res finish would be good too. The arcane and dragon's wrath make a great combination due to the bonus attack they both get.

I read duo skills less often than Prfs because using them feels as bad as using save states. Never knew they can do that.

It's not even that. They're literally generics, unless you get a 5*. And the 5* units can be any Emblem character, including DLC, wielding any weapon. And they disappear after 3-4 turns when the engage ends.

Actual stats are almost always preferable to phantom stats, but DB is also redundant with his prf
The problem with a spd-focused B!Dimitri is that the fastest enemies are only getting faster, so he needs a lot of support/investment to keep up there. Generally better to go all in on his def, but there aren't any def-based DR skills to stack with.
