I liked the final results for AHR. My only gripe was getting a free Formortiis since I already had him unlike the other semifinalists. Formortiis is like Fallen Edelgard imo where once you have one copy any extra copy doesn't really add to his power.

I would have preferred one of the rearmed heroes as the free unit, I already have Fomortiis and his fodder is useless. Getting a merge for him instead of a good unit/good fodder is lame as hell.
The AHR banner isn't bad and my L!Deirdre would love Special Spiral 4, but I feel like I don't really need L!Vero or Ninjamilla so I might end up skipping.

does godlike reflexes, spd smoke4, and blue lion rule all stack or am I a moron? I feel like I'm talking low damage but I'm also moronic. I may merge this shit but do I want more speed or more defense? Also does phantom speed or darting breath work better for the C/D on special? Right now I'm pairing Nah and BLucina to see whats going on.
They all stack. Dimitri works better with Def stacking. Phantom speed doesn't do anything for cooldowns, just speed based checks.

Pathfinder through enemies with canto 1, canto {ally 2} or canto {recall} at the end of combat. Best combo would be if it was pathfinder for enemies and canto recall would allow you to make huge plays without being bogged by warp bubble or detailed report.
Unit gains free movement from walking through enemies/allies, and allies can walk through unit for free. Unit is unhindered by terrain. Unit can move through mountains/empty spaces as a flier, but can't end turn in that space.

I summoned Ninja Camilla on a whim and she ended up being much more powerful than I thought, Vantage sweeping nearly everything
Powerful in AR when backed by Muspell and Thorr, nearly unstoppable in PvE (Spring Karla can't do shit to her)

Vanilla Nifl - No NFU in 2023 is awful. Her refine can't come soon enough. I've considered giving her Arcane Grima in the meantime.
Summer Freyja - She just feels a bit bland. Maybe if I replaced her B skill with Canto I'd enjoy her more.
Flame Lyn - Not having DC on a tank unit feels awful and I don't have a decent Far Save unit to cover her with.

I forgot you can't use exclusive a/b/c skills if you use Arcane weapons. Now I have to think if I want to keep her AoE 30% DR or make her actually a threat. And I just learned she can't even use Flow Trace either. Man, she's kinda screwed over on skill availability.

so from what I can tell, the possible options for this are

>2. It only applies to HoF Rerun banners with a 4* focus

>4. It only applies to rerun banners with a 4* focus (so potentially including Forging Bond reruns)

Altena wasn't a 4* focus (she was actually the last demote to NOT be one), but when she got reran on a Forging Bonds rerun, she was treated as a 4* focus.
4* special is the "night summons" that are actually 5* units that got removed from the main pool.

For better or worse, he has no fodder I can make use of as I don't have any slow beast units, so he's going into my defense.

The thing I always forget about Formortiis is that the range of Nightmare is dependent on the position of the attacking unit and not Formortiis. I've lost a few games due to this since the opponent's backup units were now safe since Formortiis locked down a unit or two preventing me from attacking or maneuvering them to safety.

Hey, so I just started playing and just pulled a bunch of stuff with my initial gems. I feel satisfied with what I have for now, but I know nothing about the game. What are some units I should keep an eye out for/must pulls/weak points to focus on? Anyone in current banners I should aim for?
Im gonna be honest. as some one who still play, this is a bad gacha game and I would stay quit while you can.
Advice heeded, but is it still fun if I don't care about arena or comp stuff? I just like the dumbed down fire emblem gameplay and I like FE characters
yea when you look at it like that it certainly can be. if you dont stress about aether raids or arena scoring and just playing with units you like and doing stuff like story mode or paralogues and what not then yea it can be quite fun and enjoyable. aside from IS being incredibly stingy compared to other gacha
I have fun using my favorites against Abyssal maps, though every year our favorites get stronger thanks to better skills and more dragonflowers which makes Abyssals begin to feel a bit too easy. I hope their difficulty is increased in the future to become as difficult as I found Marth's Abyssal when it was new. That shit was hard, but satisfying to beat.
Valentine's Chrom is still meta. I think Spring Maria is underrated.

its really fun as long as you use guys you like and give them bullshit skills from the monthly special characters. there will always be a stronger unit released 20 days later so don't even bother trying to plus 10 someone that isn't a 3-4star unit. remember there are compilation things too to get your favorite guys some bullshit skill too. my favorite guys for example are 4 year old dragons (who are over 12 thousand years old)
save orbs and get bullshit skills to put on your favorite guys its fun
the thing is even if you don't care about arena or comp stuff, every new unit today comes with a preset comp ready kit of bullshit, even if they're a npc in PvE
and the other half of the "PvE" just takes units from other players anyways because IS is lazy so you'll have their enemies with comp kits spawning in your other unranked modes too no matter where you go
you can certainly try to just ignore all of them and just raise your favorite FE characters
just keep in mind that depending on how recently your faves are released, you could completely max out those favorites, roll them to +10 merges, and fill them with strong modern inheritable skills like that other anon was saying
then watch as they get 1v4'd by a +0 base kit unit that came out last week that none of them can lay a finger on

You could try for a hold skill if you don't want to use Seidr with her. Slow units usually get follow up prevention/guarantee so you should be ok

We have QR4 now but QR3 would be garbage not worth running even if it was in the general pool because we have inheritable weapons on par with prfs and most of the good ones have dual phase autodoubling.

What's your thinking? Personally the exclusivity of hold to a seasonal ill probably never get makes it more alluring. Ignoring that moronic point an aura debut lets her take less damage and do more damage, it also contributes to the team in a wider range on map for in combat matchups with any teammates. I do like the double that comes with atk smoke 4 but in this situation I'm kind of banking on earthly gas bolt getting some sort of guarenteed follow up Refine. I'm not trying to play devils advocate or anything but I do have a fallen Gustav to give her atk smoke 4 in a worst case scenario. My current plus10 altena has distant foil wyvern flight and atk/spd reign with flowing Lance, but I'm a literal fricking brainlet at builds. I play too casually to see the real workings of skills interacting ever since they added everything ignores follow ups and especially since they added everything reduces damage/you always charge special opponent never charges special/ you are on the map and another unit is on the map so you are invincible.
Ok the skills dont go that overboard but playing as a day one brainlet they certainly feel like they do not even sometimes but every 3 months.

Hold is better, as you said before it helps other units without her taking part in the fight.
She may be Leif's big sister and have a legendary weapon but that's not enough to escape the big sister curse, I expect her refine to be some support shit.

L!M!Robin's introduction into the game has made earth season insufferable. I typically don't have too much trouble killing him but the units he buffs makes it unnecessarily harder than it needs to be. It makes menace skills utterly useless since it'll buff them making them stronger. Hate that because of Robin I'll have to probably bench Jeralt during earth season weeks too.

I'm high enough in arena that seeing +10 merges of him is the regular for me. I hate him though because he makes it difficult to kill anyone with the bonus unit (handicap) you must carry.

IntSys has always been weird about stacking mechanics in this game. Cooldown charge boosts in-combat don't stack, but out-of-combat ones do. Damage reduction stacks are multiplicative, but healing stacks are additive.

First time in ages I've felt completely stumped by this kusoge, had no idea how to push forwards even if there was no 10 turn limit between his AoE gravity, cavChrom/cavNinian threatening my own fort with their 6-7 range bullshit and cavKarla zoning out every tank I had on the field just by being there

Fair. It does have orbs but my stash is at almost 3k at this point because there's never any worthwhile inheritance besides shit like "Tier 3 skill +4 to a stat".
I still play because it's one of the only modes where theoretically I can just not give a shit and fight using whoever I want, though "whoever I want" is the game heavily pushing me to just use a ton of canto cavs/mages and dancers as always.
Hell, on the next run I caved and threw in some new Save tanks like armored Grima/Formortiis and it didn't even change things much, they all got one-shot/one-to-two rounded through their Save by equally new cav/infantryshit when trying to advance.
That's generally what I try to do, yeah. That run got out of hand because I couldn't steal a base immediately due to starting rolls of stuff like cavKarla with Fomortiis covering her.

I try to look for a map that I can steal 1 of their 2 bases on on the first turn. Makes it a lot easier. Also Legendary Eliwood is a godsend if you can get your team to equal Atk. Slightly annoying to do with beast units since they get +2 Atk if transformed and the +4 Atk to the corresponding movement type during their bonus round.
It's the one event where I can use my friend's units, so it's kind of fun to me. I don't count PoL since you don't really "play" that mode.

I'm unsure of the rate change, but even with them being a demote, I believe they don't become something like a 4* special demote on a holiday banner. It wont be 500 orbs to +10 them, they just have a small chance to appear as a 4* special along with a bunch of other units.
I had a friend that has +10 Amelia and another +5 from pity breakers and 4* specials… I don’t want to feel invalidated spending my orbs on that, but I like his art and character a lot.

It's because it's a Dragon, not a Wyvern. There's SUPPOSED TO BE a distinction, but NoA just decided during FE7's localization that all the mountable Dragons are to be referred to as Wyverns. This wouldn't have been a problem because actual mountable Wyverns didn't exist in FE, but then FE8 introduced Wyverns as a split class promotion reachable from Dragon Knight or Pegasus Knight, so they decided in Radiant Dawn to start localizing Dragon correctly, but that only stuck around for RD/SD and now we're stuck with quadruped Dragons from pre-Awakening games being referred to as Wyverns in English and also post-Awakening Wyverns being referred to as Dragons in Japanese.

DR stacks multiplicatively, the order doesn't matter.
The only exception is flat damage reduction like B!Dimitri's, S!Maria's, Askr's, which is subtracted after the other DR calculations.

Is atk/def Clash better than solid ground 4 on a flier? worst case scenario you get 1 less in atk/def, but can still get more value out of it if you, or the enemy moves 2 spaces at least.
Only reason to use Solid Ground over Clash is if you want to use AoE specials.
I'd probably go Catch before Clash or Solid Ground on a flier, Solid Ground is really only for out of combat stat checks.

florid cane was a seasonal codec and since I too had a +10 roy and no idea what to do with him that's what I gave him. What skills did you give him because all I did was give him the sword.
Now, I gave my Florid Cane to my Itsuki (which I sort of regret building up, but he is due for a refine eventually I'm sure)
I mainly regret giving him Atk and Spd boosting skills because at max he barely reaches 40 Spd, and units these days start at like, 45+ Spd at base and get like a dozen more just for existing
However, I gave him a Ruse skill and Rally Atk/Spd+ so I can Rally, Ruse, then move out of the way, so that's something

I've never seen my Lynn take damage to be honest but I have a nah battery chugging her special every turn. In chapter and GBH she also seems to be able to face tank everything to victory. I just need to move the other shits out of deaths way.
I also feel like my opponents are cheating when using him. Literally unkillable until you move him away from or kill the rest of his allies to negate his refinement effect. Or if you have SS4, which Fomortiisgays took away from us.

I'd love to know more and hear people speak about builds they love or what they are able to pull off since I play casually as frick but have a nice treasure trove of possible inheritance I splurge on budgets when it seems like I can get away with a lot. For example I made this guy after trying to do my best homework and unfortunately he doesn't seem to be worth the cost it took so far but I'm probably not setting up his synergy well enough. I also have an arcane tome and axe leaving me completely clueless on how I could best make use of them reviving an older unit.

I run it on my Smoke Dagger Jakob and that's it. You're right though, it's a very confused skill. It should've granted some other buff instead of the -3 to all stats. The units that want Panic Smoke can already inflict stronger debuffs.
are you high? it's easily the best generic C skill in the game, all it needs is debuff support from elsewhere on your team.

PS3 is best used by units that can inflict lots of debuffs, and PS4 gives -3 to all stats which generally will be useless when the best PS3 users can already inflict debuffs.
If you have debuff support from elsewhere on your team you're missing out on potential because you now need one unit to apply Penalty Doubler to your team and another unit to apply the debuffs; only then can the 3rd unit get the full benefits. The -3 that's built into PS4 is too small to be worth it on a unit that can't otherwise inflict debuffs.

first off, bullshit. second, you have foe penalty doubler, so it's effectively -6 to everything. that's where the further debuffs (and the real usage of PS4, fricking opponents with actual buffs) comes in. the -3 is only there so the skill is usable by braindead players such as yourself and it actually does something against a unit that has no field buffs or debuffs, unlike Panic Smoke 3. there are zero C skills that are better for in combat use than Panic Smoke 4, the only other skills you should ever consider for the C slot are Oath 4s for mobility and other skills with out of combat effects like Time's Pulse/Support effects
I've only given it to Muarim so far. I'm thinking I'll also give it to Taimanin Laevatein through HoF since if I'm using her, I'm giving her +6 to all stats from elsewhere and PS4 results in more damage than Atk/Def Hold assuming they aren't using Grand Strategy.

Her B slot depends on if you're running her with strong source of healing or not. Triggering Guard 4 or (if you're not feeding her a Ganglöt) Quick Riposte 4 requires keeping her at ≥25% HP. If you're confident that she can shrug off damage/heal with her Special, either of these should be fine. Go Mystic Boost 4 otherwise.
Also, remember that the T3 version of all of these skills are Sacred Seals.

You get a charge everytime you get spooked in a row, so once you get spooked 3 times the next time you get a 5* is the one on banner. Pretty niche update similar to the cap pity loss has on spooks since you need to get utterly fricked in order to use it, but here I am.

Been gated off from half the skills in the game for no reason, lowered bst, being specced into buffs/debuffs when shit like legendary robin shows that they don't give a shit about just tacking that stuff onto a normal unit anyways, all because they have a niche that nobody needs anyways because the only kind of sustain that matters is self-sustain.
I think they're fine on ABC skills at least (Finish, Wrathful 4, Menace/Oath 4, NFU seal). They just need better inheritable staves. Atk-5 Spd-5 being the best option is pretty pathetic.

L!M!Robin made Pawns of Loki far too easy now. Since most people's strats rely on debuffing the enemies team the ability grand strategy almost always guarantees you a win with minimal damage taken especially if running two save units. I fear IS will now introduce a unit that erases buffs that aren't blue buffs (grand strategy, dodge, null follow-up and etc.) too counter Robin.

I'm using LEliwood in my team and want to keep everyone the same Atk, but to do that I would need a Neutral Atk Fomor during his bonus season and a +Atk Fomor otherwise. Can I make a team while he's Neutral, lock it, then make another identical defense, use fruit to +Atk him, and lock the second one to have 2 of the same defense but with different IV Fomor?

Build Lilina, Sophia is also a nice option. If you plan on using them as fodder, you should invest one an extra Tier 4 C skill so you can pass all three skills and the arcane weapon with each merge.

I believe that's the case which is weird since there's nothing in their descriptions that mention that
SS4, Deadeye and Lethality only neutralize "reduces damage by X%" effects.
Dimitri, Askr and Maria's effects description states "reduce damage by 20% of unit's Def", that's why it's not affected.

My gut feel is that Dimitri's skills are nice but maybe not ideal for him. Edelgard's kit is solid but much easier to get fodder for so you could probably build her yourself without spending a soul on her.

I would pass. you needed ruptred sky on edelgard, with the uhh 3 dots B skill I think hardy, and then A/R close. Distance stance is great and if you can give her close def 4 from that literal who axe man she can be fricking invincible. I usually slap QR seal on her and keep Hardy stance 3 just so she still doubles. I would skip and wait for the next revival so you can get even more bullshit on them next time. revivals are all about focusing on one or two units but it looks like you either got bad rolls or gave some skills up to clood and e-girlthea as well.

My current Spd/Res Menace has its place since sometimes I use her with vanilla Laevatein who offers her Atk/Def buffs through her Prf, so it enables Taimanin Laevatein to get all stats +6 if they're deployed together. I think I still would rather have Panic Smoke 4, though.

Brave Lysithea, she already had Special Spiral 3 and Time's Pulse, and Finish skills are counterintuitive with her weapon, so I was able to give her the Arcane tome alongside Spiral 4 even if she's just gonna stick with her actual tome
Defeating armor stall teams in AR always feels good. Taimanin Laevatein always pulling through for me on those maps.

She's one of the few units in the Ranged Flier non-special unit pool, AND she's also effective against fliers and armors. She's more likely to appear in any HoF with either, and she's one of like 10 units that can appear in said Ranged Flier space (of which there are a lot, because the maps can choose maps that originally had seasonal units on them).

No, that anon is wrong. The part about her spawning in place of ranged fliers is true though. A lot of maps have generic or seasonal ones.
