I want to feed Ivy to Legendary Lilina. How does canto from a/r trace 4 interact with the canto 1 from gifted magic?
Whichever Canto grants the highest movement gets priority. You can only activate one Canto per turn. Far Trace 4 always has a minimum of 1 movement, so even if you use her full movement she'll always have Canto 1. If she only moves 0 or 1 spaces, then she'll have 3 or 2 spaces to move for Canto.

As I said in the deleted thread, I practically have to roll for Ivy in order to give all her stuff to Constance. AHR isn't going to provide me any better fodder for her than this. The only downside is that Constance's native Canto skill is A/S rather than A/R, but it should do for now.
I wish they had increased the skill inheritance limit to 6 slots. I can't give Constance all of Miasma, Echo and Far Trace 4 without first finding additional fodder for at least the first tier of the A/R line. Of course 5 slots are much better than just 4, but it's still an annoyance. And we'll be back right where we started the moment they roll out tier 5 skills.
I believe we got A/R Far trace a while back from the red divine code manuals.
A/R Far Trace is also on a banner unit rn, namely Selena, and she's a demote too

As misfortune would have it, I had to go all the way to spark for Ivy and now I'm lacking the orbs to gun for Selena too. This despite the fact that, ideally, I wanted to get a copy of her anyway just for her inheritable red tome, to see how it would work on Constance. Getting the A/R line on top of the tome really would've been picture perfect, but even with Selena's banner staying up for another 2 weeks I can't say I'm feeling hopeful after suffering through those last 40 summons. Can't have everything I guess...

Now the only question that remains is which skillset to use. I foddered Gullveig to Constance half a year ago to give her both Flared Sparrow and Atk Spd Oath 4. The latter should synergize well with Soaring Echo whereas the former would clash with Miasma. So I guess Miasma is the obvious choice to drop? Or is it such an amazing skill that it's worth to use over Flared Sparrow?

100% use Flared over Miasma. Flame Veins are stupid good and stacking pre-combat damage rocks. Try to get her Occultist's Strike if you can.

It's not like people will roll for characters if they aren't on a banner, and getting spooked by them is such a low chance that you aren't missing much with it gone.
Will Hortensia be able to equip Soaring Echo paired with her exclusive C skill and arcane staff? I thought there was a restriction with equipping Attuned skills, but if I remember correctly, they lifted that restriction pretty quickly, right? I hope she can use it so she can be even greater support than she already is.

I know perfectly well how this will go, I'll try to roll just for one staff and I'll be forced to spark once again for one single copy because this piece of trash game hasn't given me featured heroes without sparking for months. What's worse is that it might not even be that good on Genny since everything coming from Hortensia is Spd based and Genny on max investment doesn't go past 40 Spd unless you S-Support her.
Genny's the onr who'd like the arcane the most as it gives her guaranteed doubles. Not like she can use atk/spd catch anyways.

I think the general consensus is going for Atk/Def prime, Gambit, trace, lull atk/def and Alarm or Incite. But if you have either version of Askr you can get use of prime easily so that can free up his C Skill for something else. Until I get atk def prime I’m thinking some combination of Fort Def/Res 3, Gambit, Lull Atk/Def, mythic boost, and atk/def menace.

what just happened
A dancer will dance the unit in the 7th slot that gets "locked" on their turn. Some people abuse that to move forward and initiate on their turn even if none of your units were originally in range.
If none of your units were in range of Peony after the Peony moved to her new position, they'd stay where they are as normal. If the Peony moved and one of your units were now in Peony's attack range, they would begin moving forward as if you began the confrontation.

Stupid decisions involving a seasonal spark made me impulsively buy Feh Pass earlier in the month. Decided to cash in on the Emblem Marth hype, and ended up with two of him plus an Asc!Sonya.

Which skill is less valuable, atk/spd prime or desperation 4? Got to waste one of those because I want to give atk/spd oath 4 to Hortensia from either Claude or Lysithea.
prime 4 is on 3 units, all of whom are seasonals, desperation 4 is on 1 unit, who is seasonal.
In terms of rarity, prime 4 is easier to get, and a bit more niche in its use. Desperation 4 is a bit more broad in its use, and harder to get.
Use this information how you will.
Knowing that "I may want prime in the future" is what's making it hard to decide. On case that an offensive Mobu that wants the skill gets released eventually
Yeah already got that Shez a while ago. Frick atk/spd oath 4 really feels like the best offensive C in the game right now
Prime is harder to use, but it's a big attack and speed DC skill. Desperation 4 is easier to counter because of Hardy Bearing, but you can almost always get it off with some good positioning... But it's usable on literally everyone.
You can grab A/S Oath 4 from Shez in Codes 4 if you haven't already.
We might get claude on AHR banner (maybe even as a free unit) if you are planning to roll on that so you might want to wait till we see the first round VG results

IMO that still feels more interesting than the xenologue characters. Having fallen banner consist of Engage characters be mean for years on end seems like such a waste.
Plus most fallen units often go mad through external forces or possession or whatever the case may be. Orson and Dimitri are the exceptions since they've just generally gone insane and obsessive.

Yes. I only got two chapters into it, but the gist of it seemed to be "Alear killed sombron but died in the process, and now everyone is super duper mean with reverse personalities".
Celine is aggressive to everything, Alfred is too but seemed to have reservations and be more reasonable, Diamant seemed like he lost confidence in himself and his brother was c**t who kept talking about how useless his older brother was. They just flipped personalities for the most part. There wasn't much of a physical change, and because you don't see it happen it just feels very forced.
Hortensia was regularly tortured and verbally abused by Ivy in the FX world and became mindbroken. Protect Hortensia.
I've played the Fell Xenologue. Big spoilers. The entire continent is dead, save for the Four Winds, Nel, and Nil. All of the Royals are revived as Corrupted, like what Veyle did to Hyacinth... But I think the implication from Bond Conversations between Hector/Celine and Camilla/Timerra imply they were always like their Fell Xenologue personalities anyway? It's been a while, so I may be fuzzy on some of the details.

Bummer, the only musou I've played were Hyrule Warriors, FEW, and Three Hopes. They're nice if you can just turn your brain off and enjoy it. The challenge maps for HW and FEW were actually really fun with keeping track of what bases to keep alive and gunning to kill specific bosses. Frick the HW "quiz" missions, those were unfun as piss.

Rearmed/Attuneds have definitely done their jobs of eating orbs. I used to sit around 800ish pretty commonly, but now I'm always sitting around 200. That and a mix of units I actually want to +10 being released recently (Hortensia and Attuned Nino).

While there can be strategy involved in the game despite most people saying otherwise, the problem is being at the mercy of the gacha to get the necessary skills or units you're needing before actually utilizing your desired strategy. Not sure how fun that sounds.
On the bright side, a lot of modern units come with close to their ideal sets, but it's still an issue you'll be faced with very commonly.

You kinda missed the boat here, because imo, the game peaked in PvE content when the abyssap battles were introduced (L!Marth and L!Robin iirc). They were really tough because you really had to think when deciding which units to bring, but nowadays, with the current powercreep, you just toss something like L!Seliph or Christmas Dimitri into the middle of a map and it just folds on itself. I remember that for L!Marth's map I had to build a Sophia with a raven tome and TA just to deal with some bullshit cav staves and archers, but nowadays I have a core that just deals with whatever bullshit they come up with. PvP is another story, I stopped caring about modes like AR and SD a while back

PvE maps are a bit hard to make truly difficult now, since you just summon for the newest unit and they just solo, but back then you had to work for those maps
In addition to what the other anons have told you, I think it's a crucial detail to mention that battle tactics have grown to be FAR more complex than what you'd be used to from the GBA era games. It's not enough anymore to calculate Str/Mag + Mt - Def/Res = Dmg and then the rest is positioning and praying you don't fall victim to an unlucky crit. There are metric shittons of skills that (among other things) fudge damage output in either direction (damage reduction, piercing DR, true damage, pre-combat damage, AoE damage...) such that it's nearly impossible to predict the outcome of any individual battle based on the numbers at hand. Unless you're willing to employ a calculator (you aren't) you will be utterly dependent on the battle forecast as well as some unreliable rules of thumb (e.g. newer unit beats older unit). You can get used to it, obviously, but the complexity of skill effects and interactions will appear very daunting for a new player in 2024.

It's fairly easy to get into, and collect your favorites as the game is fairly generous, and you don't need to roll 11 copies of units unless you're autistic.
The issue is building older units takes a lot of resources so it can take time to build up characters you like. If you're here for the gameplay then it is alright but you are at the whim of monthly gacha powercreep, and we have gotten to a point that some skills do so much it's easier to just plan turn by turn and not really think ahead any more. Character building has also become somewhat dead as newer characters come with a full kit and old characters are usually forced into 1 obvious meta build.
If you like FE, then go ahead and try it out. the only thing you lose is time.

Pretty much, yeah. GLR has special DR so it isn't penetrated by any of the various skills that cut through non-special DR. Otherwise they end up remarkably similar in terms of efficacy, so it is pretty much just straight up better.

PoL has always just felt like luck to me. Sometimes I never get opponents with +28, sometimes I get opponents with over +20 on round 4 when I'm sitting on like +16. Or even just early rounds where the opponent has a lv30+ unit when all mine are under 30 and that 1 unit just solos my team.

Is there an ideal timing for subbing to Feh pass? I recall that MKT refreshed its Gold pass benefits & missions bi-weekly so that if you subbed for one month, it wasn't difficult at all to grab the benefits for one and a half month as long as you got the timing right.
If you want to get the most out of Feh pass, you buy it 10 minutes before the resplendent hero resets and log into the game right before your pass would normally expire. If all you care about is Severa then you can do so tomorrow 10 minutes before Soren is replaced and Severa will be included in your Feh pass subscription period.

Is there any point to resplendents gameplay-wise? All stats +2 seems like a drop in the bucket for such old units and as a little "Frick You" on top it doesn't even count towards Arena BST. And it only gets worse for year one units which require you to pay extra on top of Feh pass. I feel like they should've future-proofed resplendents in some way, because by now the really old shitters who got resplendents first would at least need another additional resplendent in order to "catch up" (which they never will manage regardless for lack of overtuned prfs). 5 bucks seems like such a ripoff for what amounts to a fancy +1 vanity merge.
The truth of power creep is you will never truly catch up. If your a meta shitter all the power to you and your crowns but for f2p ers and playing with favorites its a nice little kick to do GHB and limited battles.

Its 55$ for 55$ worth of orbs, and a potential ass ton more orbs saved by not having to roll for premium fodder, getting dragonflowers, and the rarer X skills. As far as orb packs go, it has the have the most potential value.
It's possible IS didn't want to make people feel compelled to buy the orb pack if it were the only way to more ascended florets for units they like as florets are hard limited based on the number of ascended units in the game you can get. If someone considered spending 55$ but the lack of floret was a deal breaker then it just feel throwing a fit over a something relatively small.
I'm still salty I don't get that cherry or at least a florets for use since the character had one the skills do cover the few missing things on my +9 from the hall of forms. The limitations on florets is fricking dumb. Like blessings if you get a dupe ascended you should at the very least get another florets or let us rescind florets at a cost or something. I'm mostly upset about florets being so fricking limited despite only ever having used 2.

I mean, the alternative is focusing on Atk/Res instead. Either way her Spd will be too low to double fast units and her Res will be too low to tank magic units. I'd just go with whichever fodder you have more of; Atk/Res boosting or Atk/Spd boosting.

If I were you, I would try to focus on moving Byleth down and dancing her; you wasted your dance on Turn 1 on the Cav... But it wouldn't have been a waste if you didn't Canto Byleth into a spot that the Cav could've killed Duo Elise from.
On Turn 2, if Hortensia had attacked from the right side, she could've Canto'd up 1 and then gotten danced with a Reposition, but I don't think it would've helped much. Killing Veyle was a better move, but that Duo Button use hurt me.
On Turn 3, you fricked yourself out of attacking Anna because you forgot she only gets +1 Move if she's near allies, but I doubt Hortensia would've been able to kill her.
All in all, you did shockingly well for a few misplays, but the team you went up against was missing some seals and assists, so ehh. I'd recommend changing your starting position to have Citrinne in a position where she can give Orders/Charge/etc to everyone, and then I'd have Peony and Byleth up front and center so you can moron charge Byleth in.

I have no clue what to put on them. EP is supposedly dead so I've no idea what to do with Mamui, but have heard some people use Special Spiral 4 with decent success. Femui seems like just a standard atk/spd dragon but she comes with finish already, and a blade effect so is TP 4 just optimal to keep her special up?
I'd give Lilith more of a supporting skill but her PRF already gives NFU to her S support.

I don't think slow units can exist without DR-piercing these days, so I'd go with Special Spiral 4 at least. Maybe Scowl as well to try to avoid getting 1-shot by DR-piercing precharged specials yourself.
If I were to build him, this is how I'd do it.
I'd replace the C kill with atk/res ploy
I went with something that lowers his CD so he can start SS4 going after being hit once on his first combat (assuming his foe has no Guard). Atk/Res Ploy would be better if you charged his special either with an ally or Marth Emblem though. Or even pairing both Marth Emblem and IP4 and using a stronger special to better ensure kills.
I disagree with that, they should keep inf. NFU 4 since it provides them warping and NFU to themselves. Ploy 3 wouldn't be consistent enough for Corrin to use and wouldn't hit the units you'd want to hit with it like tanks since the avg tank has 40+ res and Corrin hits units with <39 res so it'd be a completely dead skill in that instance.

Use only high merged/high DF beasts, dragons, and bonus weapons. It's easier to get the +6 from beasts and dragons because they count all 4 colors towards getting the "triangle"

Yes and no. The best way to score high is not losing HP, but maximizing your chances of getting +6 for weapon types goes a long way. Plus armored dragons and beasts are also busted ass broken powercreep and can be Save units (since enemies can't Savior but you can).

I've no clue. Everyone seems to suggest Counter roar for her but IMO mNFU might be better just because there is so much DR in the game, DR pierce/precombat damage is becoming more common on newer units, and everyone seems to come with GFU or FUD.

I'd say Counter Roar is still better than Occultist's Strike for her at least, Occultist's Strike is player phase only so I don't think she can use it that well compared to some of the dual phase skills she can get. The advantage of CR over other B skills would be for the healing on top of its other effects really, for offense one of the DR piercing skills is probably more useful.

The tiles that would overlap instead have nothing placed down. The build isn't about abusing Veins, it's about out of combat damage to as many units as possible through AoE, pre-combat damage, and post-combat damage (via Miasma). You could technically drop Miasma and instead run Savage Blow for the same amount of damage to enemies, but Beruka would lose out on the omni-5 and penalty ignoring from Miasma

I used Auto Clicker on Android to set some macros up. Start recording your screen inputs, start the Rival Domains map, tap Autobattle and confirm, then tap after the "You win" appears. Assuming you didn't complete any quests, you'll be back at the Rival Domains menu and can stop your recording (if you made quest progress, then finish out that quest so it doesn't mess with your macro).
After that, let 'er rip and reap the feathers.
It would also be a good idea to turn off any settings related to animation and toggling on "begin battle" in the "starting map" setting rather than "swap spaces" to help speed things up.

The only thing that really blows about losing Edelgard and Sanaki is no Dual Ploy 3 (and Armored Blaze, if you're into that), but Sanaki having Flared Mirror is also insanely good. Losing out Gullveig means losing out on Flared Sparrow and Occultist's Strike which are both insanely amazing skills, but No Quarter is so stupid good and objectively the best damage dealing special if you have no DR Pierce so that match up is a win-win either way.
My ideal AHR banner would be Peony, Camilla, Alear, and Gullveig. I want Occultist's Strike more than No Quarter, but it's pretty much a win regardless of who wins that match up.

If you want her to live you could give her MKana's dragonstone and that gives her some DR +NFU, and is essentially better than her main weapon for pure combat purposes.

I am running Dragon's Stone right now and it lets her survive a hit to blow up a unit. But I want dat super warp. But Dragon's Stone + Counter Roar is a helluva combination, she tanks stuff no problem. But not you're using F!Lilith for that, go build another infantry dragon if you're going that route. And while DR stocks are plummeting, off the top of my head, only Camilla is giving out piercing buffs. They're not going to powercreep her that way any time soon. Maybe they're release a Dancer B skill but then I'd have to waste a dance to get her into piercing mode, and I have Firestorm dance for desperation anyhow. Decisions...
Also, I'm running guidance, I'm going back to Rein Snap. I prefer my 3 move.

Seconding Occultist's Strike. DR Pierce is becoming more common and her Prf lends her to being a PP unit. Better to deal 14 pre-combat damage with Flared and Occultist's and get bonus damage from Occultist's and go for a OHKO than use Counter Roar to take a hit and maybe kill on the second hit.

If you have the ressources to build up Cynthia, she actually isn't that bad. Her prf weapon gives her Wings of Mercy for free which goes well with Atk/Spd Clash, if you can get it for her. Only problem is that you need a shitton of dragonflowers to patch up her statline.

Unfortunately no. Rosado's fodder works best on bulky fliers (typically wyvern riders) and neither Cynthia nor Farina (nor any other speedy peggy knights) have the necessary Def to make full use of Wyvern Rift. Not without ally support at any rate.

Miracle will fall if he is already at 1 HP, yes. He comes with 40% AoE DR, but combine AoE with Flared and Occultist's and you'll almost certainly get him down to 1 HP pre-combat.

Your only two Grail choices for maximizing fodder are Aversa and Scion Nanna.
Almost all fliers would love Deadly Miasma as a C.
We don't have any main pool staff/tome Flier demotes, so choices for A/R Far Trace 4 are pretty limited there, but on Cavs you've got some old shitters like Cecilia.
I'm sure there's a wealth of seasonal 4*s that wouldn't mind it, but I can't think of any really good ones off the top of my head.

This is the most thought they've put into anything in this game in years. There's great value at pretty much every level of all these paths. It's especially insane how many incredible skills they pushed into the 4th tiers because they wanted to reserve the 5th for rearmed heroes.
My only gripe is the lack of Gambit, and maybe the lack of Flared _______ skills (although I guess having free access to the latter would be an overall net negative to an already unhealthy game)

rally's in general are abit awkward to use but her effect in partically because for player phase you kind of want to be efficient with action economy so ideally in this scenario you want at start of turn buffs and for movement her rally isn't much better then just using shove, rallies in general are more suited for enemy phase but hers doesn't really help in that sense either because of just giving movement which is more of a player phase effect, so imo if they want to put her more in a player phase (which i assume was the original intention) setup she kinda needs to get a free action when using rally.
I could see IS turning her into a budget or side grade heidr.

It's for any melee unit, barring beasts and dragons
Literally any unit that can, you NEED damage reduction piercing so you can actually do damage to stuff
I personally wouldn't give it to infantry at least. Typically they'd rather have GLR to avoid being DR pierced and they have B skill options for DR piercing like Tempo 4, NFU4 or SS4. Cavs/fliers aren't as lucky.
it can be worth it on any unit that can use it (Sword/Lance/Axe, excluding Armored) if you want them to have a nuking role, but Cavs and Fliers benefit the most since they don't have better specials anyway

Hardly matters at this point, I'm not even in VoH and I encounter cav line cancer all the damn time. Already used up my 7 get-out-of-jail cards this season and still ran into another cancer line-up today. Now I don't even need to bother playing AR for the last two days because I can't ascend anyway. All PvP modes are irreedemable, made only for the most masochist of metaslaves. Handing out free Camillas or whatever can't make it much worse than it already is. Not to forget whatever they hand out will be outdated and replaced by even worse cancer in another month or two regardless.

The numbers you see are often never gonna be accurate on account of damage reduction, so what if they factored it all in right there?
the game already calculates it to show you the outcome before confirming, it makes no sense why they haven't made the numbers match
I don't see a reason to change it. The final HP value is accurate aside from post-battle HP recovery, and seeing how much damage you're doing pre-DR is useful for seeing the impact DR is having in the fight.

Soaring Echo on my Hortensia is making me realize I should probably replace Poetic Justice with Dazzling Shift. Her movement is a bit too limited if a unit takes advantage of her Guidance and ends up blocking her from moving 2 spaces forward, so having the ability to warp around them would be nice. Just gotta wait to free roll an Elincia.

You get the bonus to your personal score, but you do not get it for the team score. This is to prevent, I guess, lower rarity/more available/more popular characters from having an extra leg up
AHR is always an exception for those, to make sure that it's more "fair" (even though it's still pretty much just a coin flip at the end of the day)

All heroes can use echo skills (restrictions vary depending on skill though). The only drawback is that it prevents use of Prf skills and specials except for rearmed and attuned heroes where recently they decided they can have both and not lose out on their Prf skills.
I think they can USE them, but not fodder copy them.

I actually use her Halloween alt in VOH AR-O since she has the same effect on her refine as rearmed Tana to Galeforce warp Summer Edelgard
Her mobility is damn near unmatched, it's a shame she's still got Gen 1 stats. It can be mitigated with flowers, merges and new skills, but it still shows
Yeah she has terrible stats but her mobility lets her shine as a warp beacon with Guidance 4 even if she barely sees any combat
It's so good that even after giving her the arcane tome, I still stuck with Grimoire because she flies all over the place and makes Soaring Guidance such a funny skill to have.
The recent Soaring Echo opening up her C slot and Spd/Res Crux giving her pseudo-NFU in her C slot really helped her out. It takes a lot of investment, but I don't think she's *that* awful at combat anymore.
Any difference between Spring Sylvain and Mauvier?
Everything? Mauvier is slow, bulky and gets hexblade and something else from his weapon, Sylvain is fast but more squishy and gets self refresh when using rally and also player phase brave.
One's a premium banner unit that gets a Brave weapon that pierces through DR just because
