Honestly, re-refines should be the way to go. You look at Karel's refine for example, and it's embarrasing how bad it is. Arcane weapons feel likeal a band-aid solution since, they help, but it homogenizes every unit, since everyone is gonna be built the same way. Maybe add a pool of generic effects like DR, special cooldown, omnistats, etc, and add skill slots to old weapons. The older the weapon is, the more slots it has for these effects. As for the summoning pool, maybe seperate the 4* and 3* pool, having the older, more useless units fall to the 3* pool, while the more recent and useful demotes stay in the 4* pool. Also, 4* banners should be back, maybe make it run weekly along the weekly revival banners.
Gullveig's B-skill is very tempting, but losing canto for whom I have in mind is making me think twice. Incite on the other hand is an upgrade to what I currently run

Give them a pseudo Legendary Remix treatment by giving them a new modern skill like Solo 3, Ideal 3, Catch 3. They don't have to add Clash/Finish and more desirable skills like those since they clearly don't even want to put those on modern demote units, but shit like Solo is budget tier.

I'm waiting for a Pledge that doesn't involve Atk, personally, but I'm guessing we'll get Atk/Def and Atk/Res before Spd/Res, but by then there will probably be a new good C skill that you have to wait for a non-Atk version of. It's a tiresome cycle.
Get Kvasir's C skill if you're running Citrinne alongside other mounted units, otherwise I'd stick with Pledge
But honestly I have a feeling that Kvasir's new C skill is just gonna be cavalry locked anyway, if it's anything like Alarm

To be fair, most infantry swords and lances still have it nice because they have access to a ton of damage reduction and their Arcane weapons love give the middle finger to the weapon triangle, but other than that, most of them are unsalvageable unless they have a decent Atk + Spd spread, which is all that matters nowadays. Just dump them all in a daily banner that lets you roll 5 units for free and demote all the current 5* units in the special 4* banner, I shouldn't have to deal with the weekly banner just to roll for some extra Ike or Nephenee copies.

Tanking is no longer viable until they add a new skill to negate in-combat chip damage and maybe true DR to armored units. As of now player phasing is the better strategy.
And you can bet it will be exclusive to certain weapons or move types, particularly physical melee infantry who are already too pampered, because balancing was thrown out of the window a long time ago.
I can see the next godsword to be made will have immunity to chip damage (in/out of combat) baked into their weapon and a scowl effect so you can't blow them up instantly with deadeye or lethality.

Going off many other games it's likely that a vast majority of the playerbase is casual and doesn't care about the meta. At least that is how most games are.
IS probably plateaus their stuff, but they themselves might not be too good at the game and thus don't understand the ramifications of everything they put in the game. They could also be a smaller team with limited time to test everything.

It's the final chapter, and I'm playing English Hard. would have done JP maniac first, but was told just to play it on Eng hard and get a feel of the game first. it is probably better to do first anyways as playing more casually lets me bond with characters more.

I've been in FE threads for a few years, and playing FEH since day 1. I honestly didn't know Sothe was in PoR because most conversations involving him refer to him in RD and how miccy groomed him. Even FEH only uses his RD form. It was a fun surprise.

PoR is suffering from the same issue that a bunch of other titles are: the Oops We Left All the Males for Last Problem, which they're trying to """solve""" by inflating banners with 2 special unit types so they can reuse popular females and dripfeeding the remaining dudes 1 at a time.
Sorry, actually 2 at a time, considering the extra demote they unceremoniously dump into the pool without being a focus unit is always another male. This is probably the worst fate a character can suffer nowadays (outside of being alt hell'd in a seasonal clownsuit for years). At least being a demote before all these Rearmed and Ascended and Attuned heroes meant you'd be able to easily +10 them because they were still a focus unit. Now not only are they prf-cucked, but you have to fish for them in an ever-growing pool of shitty demotes.

I wish I could into the math for good inheritance but the limitations on inheritance and addition of more and more one turn only non rally etc skills got my brain juice empty. That and the fact lull 4 skills don't erase any and all skills bonuses to their associated stat seem like bullshit. I put lull spd/def 4 on baby Innes thinking it would erase dagger ninos +420 speed on enemy phase.

The closest thing would be my sothe at +10 but he would probably be better off with physnull followup. Realistically he would only really be able to inherit void and lethality.
I have a decked out Cath at only +5 at the moment but she's so decked out from HoF that she could probably better benefit from dagNinos X skill for even more damage reduction. But I'd need to outsource Canto somewhere so she could get in to fire and step out at least a little from a danger zone.
The thing is arcane void looks like it was made for some weird not yet existing super slow armored dagger with far save to get gaurenteed lethality doubles in place of others.

I have never seen dozla outside of his event maps. This might be the most dubious far save dagger ever on this spooky lil guy. Would he be able to make use of special fighter 4 or does one of the built-in effects of void negate that. I'm on mobile so I can't easily tab back and forth over all the details. This sounds quite nefarious now that I've heard it out loud though. Atk boon void lethality maybe even keep the fireflood specfight4 and Df/res far save monster???
The only issue with using both is overlap with the +1 CD per attack, but I can live with that. He's a project of mine, if I can grab an Arcane Void I planned on giving it to him

Nice build for your Cyril. Mine was only chocked together with random spare fodder I had so he could score well since I only built him an hour ago. I've seen some Cyril in arena running atk/spd prime 4 and they scare me since they are supported by Citrinne and/or Brave Soren forcing you to attack into him and he is bulky and fast enough to survive a hit and retaliate for a KO.

Is it though? Gacha needs money to survive, and this is a little money you can give for QoL features and a free 5*. It's not even something that you NEED like in a lot of gachas. In spite of all the powercreep, FEH is pretty damn fair, you don't even need to tryhard for esport because the rewards are not even worth it.
I think it is. Most gachas let you spark on any banner, no strings attached. But FEH only lets you spark on some banners, with the others being arbitrarily locked behind a paywall.
Whale tier is like spending $150+ a month. $10 is basically nothing and you could probably get it by cutting off buying something else once like a bag of chips, beer, or other unnecessary item you could easily go without.

Yeah I saw this too and hated it especially since there isn't a colorless tome valor skill at all so you are capped at 6 sp per kill. Took me almost an hour to get enough sp to learn all of Gullveig's skills.
They should make a skill forging system like TF2 had with some items. you can scrap old premium skills and get components to build newer ones, or do something like combine a atk/spd solo 4 with distant dart, and get the distant atk/spd solo skill.

Shez Anon from last thread here, Gambit 4 is probably Shez's best B skill since it provides extra damage to bust tanky units and great bulk to survive getting hit by bow units. Also with the soaring guidance and oath echo skill it allows for great maneuvering of my allies and Shez. It is especially useful in AR since now I can teleport my units through enemy buildings and over traps and have Shez warp to them after. Shez is just an amazing unit once you give them the premium fodder though he is still serviceable even without it.
Works for me, now I just gotta wait for that manual

Currently I'm running him in light season alongside Summer Claude, Nerþuz, and Fire tribe Harmonic Tana. It allows for gravity and hit and run strats since Nerþuz and Claude have gravity and Tana passes canto 1 to everyone. Shez's main job is to tank and maneuver allies. He now makes hitting pots easier too.

I've seen some comments saying gullveig is mediocre.either way, she seems to be decently liked and perhaps her 3 attacks can get "trick" people into voting for her. Even if she isn't on ahr, she should rerun in feb.

Actually I'd argue that even with public opinion being divisive about her she sill has a good chance just by being a good unit. Ninja Camilla was top 4 and she still has people who love her or hate her. Its not like in Edelgard's case where people really loved her and voted for her outdated alts like vanilla Edelgard and Hegemon (summer edel debatable) and had people who absolutely hated her for character and taking up slot reasons, she had no chance in that case. Gullveig/Kvasir at least has a leg to stand on because she's new, most people see her as a busted unit anyway

Assault Troop, because moving only 1 space is a pain, giving you basically 3 Mov but with no diagonals is an interesting way of moving around but you ARE able to actually move around

Savvy 4 is kinda redundant because it provides Null Follow-Up which he already gets in his weapon. And even then, Savvy 4 is strictly enemy phase for some reason.

It wasn't bad, at least as far as feh books go. The time travel aspect and how the events played out were done coherently, which is shocking coming from IS, and if you keep in mind that it's a time travel book as you play through the chapters, you can predict some events later on in a good way. It falls off a bit in the second half, but it was at least enjoyable, and to make predictions with other Anons was fun.

But if you position your allies the way Rouses still intend you to, then you still get to partake in that solo playstyle that such skills encourage, only that it allows for some lenience if you have an ally next to you
I think this effect was made because like... damn near every map has you start next to an ally, making the activation of Rouses impossible, meaning you'd have a useless C skill for a turn

Yes, I wasn't aware of that. I can't check if they are in both male/female categories. IS is really weird with their CYL characters. They have characters with literally 1 scene and 3 lines of dialogue like Layla from fates, but are missing some bosses and other important characters. While it makes it more likely, I still can't see Sommie being put in CYL. Not fully against it, it just doesn't seem like something that would make sense.

I can't recall all the bosses offhand as they were just one off map bosses, and to be fair IS has added in several over the years. Uhai is a boss character that apparently isn't on CYL, and I only know that because one Anon really wants him in. There are background lore characters that aren't voteable, and even some of the ones in FEH aren't. It took 2 years after her debut for Altina to be voteable in CYL, and Elimine, and Ullr still aren't. It's strange that these background lore characters that are in FEH can't be voted for, but someone like Layla can be. It's possible Mark isn't voteable next year.

No "dying" game manages to maintain a consistent schedule of new characters, with a new story event, every 1.5 weeks for 7 years straight.
The game should still be highly profitable, not as much as early FEH, but still. If the next book is Alfador then the technically it wouldn't be a bad time to end as the "big story" they've been building up to would be over, but it isn't like they couldn't just make more random stories to continue on with the game. Besides that, companies generally don't stop producing a product until they've milked it dry, so ending it before it's done printing money would be strange.

Well shit FGO is 8 years old and they are trying to phase it out after change of devs and completing the story. I don't know man. At this point not really. It almost feels pointless to hoard for +10s these days with the state of scored game modes as it is, so I just roll on shit when I want. I guess it helps that I have at least one +10 of all of my favorite characters, many of whom are fairly niche and I don't really expect to get alts.
Since I got Picnic Felicia to +10 this year I’m now saving for Askr +5, New Years Askr +6 and Gerik+5. I’m currently at 1,150 orbs and I’m praying that I can skip early and mid December because the end of December and early January are going to be brutal for me.
I have accepted I will never +10 a unit unless I get lucky from pulls. Nearly every +10 unit I have is a demote grail. Actually I had 9 sothis manuals saved for fodder due to luck pulls but saw a decked out one in binding worlds and bit the bullet. The only exclusive 5* getting close is Julia at +8 after playing every day since release. The stat bloat on new units means I really don't need to merge them either duplicates serve better as fodder than a few stats especially with the new skills being insane.
Im' saving for merges for too many people, and I have next to no orbs. That being said, I would like to +10 ascended Reginn next year.

What is the most effective way of pulling? Thusfar I've been doing it like "only open orbs of the character's color, discard the rest". But is that actually effective pulling? I know you save orbs if you open all five of them but wont you save more of them if you just open specific colors?
It really depends on what you are going for. If you want only one specific hero it is better to pull the color that hero is on because every orb not that color isn't the hero you're looking for. If you are trying to get as many 5* as possible you should pull every orb. Pulling every orb both increases your rate faster on top of save more orbs overall due to the reduce price after the first orb pulled per circle. If you include sparks I'd say pull every orb despite only wanting one hero because you are guaranteed a hero after 40 summons and you could luck into a copy before the spark and if not you are guaranteed it at spark without wasting more than the 40 summons cost.

Pretty much the same to +10. The only thing about +10ing a unit is that assuming one is going for a limited unit (seasonal/mythic/rearmed/etc.) you may want to stockpile enough orbs to hopefully beat the odds when the banner reappears. The easiest units to +10 off of banners are brave units since they appear multiple times a year and appear the most often on sparkable banners so luck isn't needed as much to +10 them. You are practically guaranteed maybe 3 copies their 1st year from their initial banner, free copy, and their rerun.

I mean, FEH acknowledged a trade off between range vs power and durability at some point. Rein and BLyn were likely intended to have noodle arms, even if it didn't really work out. Surtr, back when he was the big scary refine never filter, never bothered me much becase at least he was the slowest 1mov piece of shit in the game.
Though nowadays we have units with both 10x his movement and 10x his damage and sometimes more bulk because they gave up at some point and wanted the game to become nuclear laser self-refresh tag instead, for whatever reason.
I ended up giving Merlinus the arcane dagger as a joke and put him on my defense team.
So far, I've taken 0 lift loss because all three opponents surrendered after sticking a unit in Merlinus's range and getting Lethality'd

It's a pretty good banner and probably the only legendary banner I did a full circle on as part of my free roll, but there's still a few "what the frick am i supposed to do with this if i roll it" units like Fomortiis and Caeda. I got a Yuri on my full circle pull and I also don't know who the hell I'm supposed to kill him off to since only infantry can learn Hexblade and infantry have access to better A skills like Finish.
I got a Yuri and I just ended up giving him to, well, himself

How long does it take to max a unit's HM nowadays? When I used to farm to 7k, it would take me around 9 hours, if I recall correctly.
I've basically had my phone on for most of today and almost all of yesterday for that (to get Anna's HM from 0 to max), so it does take a bit
Figures. I stopped doing it a long time ago because I ended with over 1 million unclaimed feathers, nothing to promote anymore (have almost every unit available at 5*) and no new merge projects. Also, it ended affecting my phone's battery.
From my experience it takes about 90 mins to get 1k HM, so it should take about 810 mins.
Back when I was constantly farming it, it usually took like 7-8 hours to get max HM (back when it was 8k cap) so just add another hour to it. Also did it on emulator to not destroy my phone's battery and could set a macro to do it.

I use the free Robin for a lot of map clears and content so he sticks around

Anyone else got reserved for summer (Freyja and Freyr) or other seasonals so I also count them in those categories (Surtr and Muspel are outliers but they fit in with their themes anyways)

I think atk/res tempo 4 is better than magic nfu on Validar since he is otherwise too slow to use the NFU even if you speed build him. Tempo 4 otherwise prevents guard effects against him, special charge up on foes, and allows him to ignore half of DR just like MNFU. But currently only Veyle carries it I believe.

All the units that would prefer Canto [1] can't use Alarm skills and cavs have gotten access to some really good B skills like Flow Desperation, so it's more of "if you have nothing better than Trace for their B slot, then Alarm is just a free self boost"

the blue plumeria is a great unit. Swap out dimitri for her. You could also swap red plumeria out with either Fedel, or Dimitri.
I would move dimitri, or edel off for a mage, but it seems fine otherwise.
It's generally good to get characters that can either synergize with each other, or to build a team that is more balanced in terms of damage/weapon types.

Fomo made this a breeze. Counter Roar makes him so bulky and if he gets doubled any attack after is reduced by 80%. Topped with panic smoke 4 and most enemies' attacks are clinking. And nightmare allows you to attack anyone at your leisure after shutting down most opposition.

it's too late for intisys to change but after playing BA it was refreshing to see how the stories include a ton of characters who don't even become playable for a year+. The FEH fanbase, especially the western one, has shown time and time again that they have no idea what they want, but personally, I'm just sick of every single new banner blending with each other because IS drove themselves into a corner with their complete disregard of powercreep. Now we have Atunned bullshit along the mirriad of new Tier 4 skills and Arcane weapons, and they expect us to roll on all of them only to give our units a miserably small chance of maybe survive the newest powercrept seasonal unit, all while not increasing the inheritance limit or giving us easily accessible Tier 3 skills so we don't have to waste more than 2 of the same unit whenever we're transferring skills.
Three Houses being, once again, part of a seasonal banner, is just the cherry on top of the many problems this game has, let alone being nothing but lords and avatar because from what IS makes me believe, they're the only things from that game that sell banners. Wrong. Each lord has only gotten 2 seasonal alts each, with Claude getting 3. If you look at the 3H banners, the lords have been featured on their original banner, fallen, summer and now christmas, also brave (people asked for it) and legendaries (lords are guaranteed to get one. Multiple christmas, summer and other regular banners have featured zero lords or avatars, so I don't know why you're so focused on "lord and avatar" spam
They are just throwing a tantrum because IS isn't spamming Shitmilla/book 7 slop alts, and they are mad at 3h specifically because they can't use the sales cope as an excuse

And that's my personal complaint because again, they have released nothing interesting in a very long time outside of maybe the most recent Ninja banner, so just ending the year with SURPRISE THREE HOUSES YET AGAIN leaves a sour taste. The only reason I've been spending orbs is because I've been sparking on units not because I like them, but because of their skills, that's the only value banners have nowadays.

No, you're hearing the very small, overinvested and hyperfixated part of the playerbase complain, which are mostly the ones who would ever bother to post about it on Twitter or Reddit or here. I cannot impress on people enough just what an insignificant part of any fanbase hangs out and posts in online communities like this one. It's so fricking nothing. As of posting, over 620000 people watched the trailer on Twitter, but only a little over 400 made a comment. Not even a tenth of a single percent of people who saw that trailer commented, and that's on arguably the largest platform FEH has a presence on. Reddit and Ganker are even smaller. Most FEH players don't give a shit about the meta or trends of released heroes. They see Edelgard in a Christmas dress, clap like seals to themselves, and spend a bunch of their orbs without saying anything.
tl;dr the vocal part of FEH's online communities are so laughably tiny that they should never be considered representative of the entire playerbase's opinions

Excuse me in advance, but I really hate this banner and need to vent.
It's 3H seasonals again. And 3H lords again. This is the 7th seasonal banner this year that includes characters from 3H. And the 4th banner that is "half" 3H, "half" another game (Spring, Summer, Tea, Winter). Enough...
I'm already disappointed by that game focus choice, but the character choice makes it even worse. Lords get special treatment and new versions all the time and this banner is just that, but fully concentrated. We already got a new Byleth and Claude this year, was it really necesarry for them to add even more...?
I'm fully aware that the 3H lords don't actually have many seasonals yet - like Edelgard only had a summer version. But still, this is Edelgard #7 in the game now, Three Houses released 3.5 years ago. And ever since 3H-CYL, I have the impression that the 3H Lords (especially Edelgard) are always the strongest characters in the whole game at the time they get released - and as soon as this status changes, IS gives one of them a refine/remix or releases a new version... I'm so tired of dealing with Edelgard all the time. I'm a good boy that still plays the arena 2x daily and ever since that CYL, I see at least one 3H Lord each day - most of the time BEdel, but Dimitri is also often there. It's just so annoying and boring. And let's not talk about the FEdel or WClaude incident...
I used to love 3H and almost all characters. A lot. But Heroes completely ruined the main characters for me. I can't stand them anymore, I don't want to deal with them anymore and I don't like seeing them take spots away from other characters or games.

I just wasted almost all of my orbs, at this point I'll just focus on fully merging the units I already have and wait for the couple of Resplendents that I'm still missing, there has been nothing released so far that has interested me enough to actively save orbs for, other than the mirriad of Rearmed/Attuned units clogging banners that might as well just be fodder on legs because that's the only thing they're good for nowadays. It doesn't help that we're closing the year with yet another Three Houses banner featuring the lords and the MC because holy shit we surely didn't have enough of those chucklefricks already.
The game won't reach EoS any time soon, but in terms of quality it's as deep down the gutter as it can be. But hey, new Auto Battle mode be excited!

I plan on giving to an axe armor with the Wind Tribe Club and Assault Troop. That's three down and the last one could be covered by an ally skill or Attuned skill down the line

I honestly should be using more of them but I only use them on my faves and only if they are max invested. Most of my florets came from random summons though and the only one I intentionally went for was Hilda's who I mostly got to kill to her for velocity 3 at the time to her brother Holst who I should of given her Floret to.

Older units can at least function somewhat thanks to Arcane weapons, and sometimes you get units that were blessed with a great refine, sometimes you end up summoning for new units that you don't care much for or you know you're not gonna use in anything so you may as well give your units something nice
