Hi anons. I'm a returning player that missed a few years, and I don't actually know what to do with what I have because of how casual I've been playing.
Could some please tell me what teams I should make with my current box? Or what I should focus on doing with my orb/feather resources?
Your obvious standouts here to me are:
-Everything in the top row is pretty generically good. You can put them all on a team and hit end turn and probably clear most content
-Ninja corrin is still a great ranged nuke for most content
-Yuri and thief are both great highly mobile skirmishers
Besides that, I would recommend trying to spend your resources making a save team, however you want to go about that. Arden from the grail pool is a pretty good close save unit, and the next time ascendant fjorm is on banner, I'd recommend trying to get one of her. Besides that, as always, focus on units you like.
Thanks for the advice. I was able to clear all single player content this past week by making a save team with Fallen Edelgard as the leader. Been having lots of fun. I spent around 400 orbs yesterday to get her to +7. Three more dupes and that personal goal is out of the way. Inherited skills like galeforce on her, maxed out her dragon flowers, and gave her an ascended floret too. The only other merge project I care about is Nowi. Buying the pass and her resplendent outfit might be the one thing that gets me to leave f2p status.

Wait to buy the pass until the new free featured resplendent is of a character you like. That way the pass has value and you won't feel like you're buying it for nothing.

Original poster here. I unironically bought it because I'm a bawd for fruits and also love Henriette. Came back not too long ago and I didn't wanna wait to get her. If you have good taste in milfs and need a far save unit, It's a good deal, especially because you will probably spend that same amount of orbs to get one copy of her. I'm thinking of buying it again because I wouldn't mind an extra copy for merging purposes since I already plan on +10 her. One day left before she's gone. What to do....

I can testify for that last point because I may or may have not spent 70 dollars on orbs out of a whim once and got nothing. So yeah, don't make it a habit.
never spend money on orbs unless you are literally so wealthy you can afford to live in decadence for the rest of your life without ever lifting a finger.
If you want to spend $40 on just henrietta, so be it. But spending money specifically to get the orbs? Just imagine spending $40 and getting 15 wryses, because 70 orbs isn't even enough to get a single 5*, assuming average luck.

In the end I think I'm just gonna stall for when a resplendent I care about shows up, then I will decide if it's worth it. I wanted resplendent Isthtar but at the time I stopped playing and missed on her. Not gonna make that same mistake
Summoned enough to do one of the free summons, got Tiki along the way, used the free summon from the banner for Chrom, and the free pick for Seliph, so I'm just missing Byleth.
They're all good units, have unique capabilities, and are very strong, so I like 'em.
I think Chrom and Seliph will probably age the best because Chrom's just gonna get better with each new unit that has a bunch of status effects that he can basically steal, while Seliph's Miracle effect and high Mov means he can set up for all sorts of Wings of Mercy tactics, which are used quite a lot.
Pulled enough to have every CYL unit at +2. To be honest, only mini-Zigludo and Byleth feel great. Tiki feels really weak and Chrom, althought strong, requires a lot of setup for my liking. He'll also probably be the best going forward, as character buffs get stronger he'll just steal them back.

Go to the sort options, sort by version number and pick the units that have been added recently. Only exception I see to that is Guy, but he's a 3*-4* that was given out as a 5*.

Feathers are mostly worthless outside of merge projects, and you're more likely to be bottlenecked by grails for GHB/TT units. The best grail project is still Y!Innes, but just spend the on your favs instead. Nearly all +0 modern prf 5*s are going to be better than any +10 older unit you like, so just invest in your fav and roll a new powercreep unit every couple of months. CYL6 is on right now, so that's a good place to start with your orbs.

I'm clueless about ascended stats. I used this Fjorm as testing since it's free with her and also because I already plan on using her as fodder. Text said that her flawed stat will be nullified but that just brought it to neutral. Do I have to use 2 ascended florets to have 2 boons?
The only way to completely remove a bane is to at least merge a unit once. Once you do that you can have two boons with your floret.

pretty hard to say, there are a lot of unusably garbage units. I would personally say Wrys, he is the bottom of the bin staff infantry unit, and will literally never ever get a refine. There is literally no unit that occupies his niche worse than he occupies it.

Also going to say Merlinus. Really felt like a slap in the face with how awful a unit he is and I really don't know what kind of refine he could get that would make him usable.
I'd think he could be the ultimate support unit if refined. Make it so he inflicts an omni-smoke within 3 spaces of target (fatal,pulse,gravity{works only on adjacent enemies}, panic,guard and stat debuff all -6) , exposure, and reduce damage from enemy's first attack when he initiates combat by 50%. This would be the only way to make him salvageable because then he wouldn't need to get kills only set the enemy up for allies to finish the job.
I would say Wrys. Merlinus can run broadleaf at least.

There's only 1 Atk boosting skill, the A. A/S Trace is the most defensive Trace because it lowers foe's attack and speed and doesn't help you deal damage.

Huh, didn't know cavalry could use it. That's pretty clever, though I wonder if it's clever enough to spend a C slot on compared to a Menace or something. You can't warp into forests right? Just realized I've never had occasion to see a warp effect on a cav unit.
I don't quite remember but I think it doesn't let you warp through forests, mountains, or walls if you were already unable to do so. So calvary can't teleport in or through forest. And calvary, armors, and infantry can't teleport through mountain ranges unlike fliers if they have the skilled equipped.
Is that so? I could swear infantry and armor units could warp past walls and mountains normally, is it just Assault Troop that works differently?
It might be due the "cannot move through terrain that blocks movement" part of the skill which is why Ash can teleport allies through terrain they normally couldn't pass but assault troop doesn't.

How would the go about making a new mobile game anyway? The core gameplay won't be changing
Matchmaking for PvP should be based not on glory or favour but by merge count.
Why not use the same scoring used in arena since it accounts for merges, duel skills (duos tend to score higher due to built-in duel), skill sp cost and etc. That way you won't be blown out by opponents running full duos, +10 merged, and full kitted units.
I honestly got blown out by one of the few top ranked players in SD-S who was tier 20 while I was 1 win away from tier 13. Was completely out of left field when all my opponents were within a deviation of 2 before that match. Do agree matchmaking needs a few tweaks.

They need to either run them more often, or make the banners themselves bigger. Honestly I doubt most people would say no to a rerun remix banner with no new remixes, just rerunning units that would be in the remix pool.
Still wild that we're (most likely) getting a Brave Edelgard refine soon. I really hope it's literally just one extra effect because she doesn't really need anything more. The others though, they do need some help.

when are these fricking things going to be worth something. everything is either limited in stock (buttplugs, maybe fruit if you whale a lot) or too fricking expensive for how much you get (everything else but ESPECIALLY grails).
I usually just use them for the Fruits, which I then use to either fix a bad bane, or turn a neutral or less than ideal unit into their more ideal stats.
I've unfortunately did this one time where I turned my Legendary Leif into +Atk and then I ended up summoning a +Atk one not too long after, so I either at least try to get a merge if it's a unit I do like (and if somehow the merge didn't give me the stats I needed), or if I'm just trying to complete a set of units (like getting all of the units on a banner) and ensuring they have good enough stats.
How do you have so many? I am constantly spending mines on fruits and souls and I am always short on both.

Congrats, just hope you don't get screwed when summoning. I once saved ~800 orbs to summon off a banner and came out with only 2 5*. Both being off banner too but this was before 4* specials and sparking so you should fair better.

The gacha gives and takes. You can miraculously get multiple on banner pulls in a single circle or have to spend several hundred orbs and somehow not get a single 5*. It makes me anxious when I decide to splurge all my orbs on a single banner in hopes of getting merges. As of now I'm saving orbs for when Halloween reruns come around to finish +10ing a unit just need 6 more merges.

Summer Claude is an outlier, he got preferential treatment because he's a 3H lord. I think IS keeps releasing seasonal prflets so players who aren't interested in any of the banner units will roll for their inheritable weapons and give them to their favorites.

It's not just that, but usually they come with some SI that's rare and good but not too good. Like Rinkah and Odd Tempest, or Sothe and Harsh Command+ and Atk/Def Rein. Basically scraps for f2p.
And speaking of inheritable weapons, we haven't had a healer in 6 months and the last inheritable staff was 7 months ago. We've got follow-up swords, canto daggers, and a bow that's pretty much a straight upgrade to brave ones, but jackshit for staves. Wish IS would throw staves a bone.
ISIS has this really fricking weird attitude regarding staves that I don't really understand. It has been there since the beginning, on top of having arbitrarily reduced stats even in comparison to other ranged units of their movement type, they have weapons with reduced might AND still need a skill that tells them they are allowed to actually do the damage they are supposed to. They are barred from using a good number of skills arbitrarily, don't get to use normal specials, etc.
They have always just been fricking petrified of the minor value that being able to heal people brings despite self-sustain being way more powerful both in logical application (not requiring you to spend a unit slot and in-combat actions to do it)and in that they actually allow it to be good in game.
There has only ever been a handful of healers that were actually good, and it was literally never because they were healers, it was simply because they had some good status ailment or something.
Veronica and Brave Camilla are the only "healers" in this game and that's because of their refine. The rest can't even compare
I just want IS to completely transition them to support units. They obviously don't ever want to make them good nukes because of Dazzling staff, so they should just make stuff like Elimine and August the default. The last good inheritable support staff was nearly two years ago, Tannenbaton+. I'm fine with healers never being able to meaningfully contribute to combat if they at least get cool buff and debuff tools.

I mean, from the way they were designed from the beginning, they weren't supposed to deal damage. Having a weapon at all was probably just IS' way of not making them completely defenseless. It's clear they wanted healers to only be used for healing and occasionally inflicting debuffs (Slow, Panic, Gravity). But then the ORKO meta started with Reinhardt and never stopped, which made both healing and post-combat debuffs useless. And so both staves and daggers were useless for the longest time outside of premium exception. But at least now daggers have stuff like good inheritables and Lethality to work with, while the best staves have gotten are just movement skills with healing

I'd look at it the opposite way: They know self-sustain is more useful, and thus easier to sell. Same reason why every CYL4 unit had self-sustain in their base kit. They'd really have to make healers strong to make people justify losing an offensive slot.

IMO LJulia got a better refine than Claude, taking her remix buffs into account. Neutralizing any penalties she has on her is huge. It's definitely CYL units and *some* Legendary units.

And her "not being at full health" condition means that she doesn't want Ideals OR Finish. Her best option is probably a Solo or a Unity skill.

Definitely that because of her new teleporting ability. She could also use Finish+Fury since the after combat damage would offset the during combat healing. Sucks that Clash is melee locked, but I don't know how that interacts with teleports.
Remember, it's 8% for ANY focus unit. So once you hit that 8%, it selects one of those twelve to give you. Yours odds at a specific 5* are closer to 0.66%.

I don't really find that first bit to be a particularly compelling argument as to why she is so bad. There have been plenty of units who are free2play, or have been given out for free in some capacity that have gotten ludicrous refines.

With LJulia's new refine, I was able to clear Deirdre's LHB on Infernal with all 4 Julias. LJulia already hit like a truck, and now she autodoubles? It's kinda nuts.
What's B!Dimitri's best C skill now? I'd imagine it'd be Atk Smoke 4 so he can prevent follow-ups, but Atk Def Menace could be good on him too.
Friend is running Menace, but I agree Atk Smoke 4 would help with his tanking ability more if you're planning to take multiple rounds of combat in one turn.

Not a perfect replacement, but odd tempest, available on rinka as a 4* special is available right now. I've found tempest skills to be pretty generically good, especially for trace units who can get the use out of that extra movement.

This SDR bonus units are just terrible save Askr. Reginn nor Sothis can hardly put a dent in any meta near save tanks and fighting against B!Dimitri and B!Edelgard are a pain.
Trying to use Sothis against the CYL units who just got refines shows how much of a non buff she got. Dimitri is a bad match up due to WTA not even getting into his refine yet, Edelgard just erases most of Sothis's stats so she clinks off her, Lysithea just explodes Sothis ignoring her DR due to her follow-up attack, and Claude is honestly the only one she can kill assuming they aren't stacking res or are Enemy Phase built.

Hopefully the Sothis alts in the future get something better. I'd honestly cry if she somehow received the same effect just a more modern version of it.
Sothis has been in the game like, three times now, and each one seems kind of underwhelming even though she should have good effects. A dragon that has no Dragon weakness, Distant Counter, that sounds like the recipe for a decent unit at least.
Poor Sothis couldn't even get +8 to all stats unlike some Legendary refines (I know she's a Mythic, but same idea) or at least the standard +5 to all stats.
They're just very allergic to giving good DC refines, and it feels like Dimitri was able to get away with it by actually getting some really powerful effects and DC feels like a bonus.
The effects I would of gave Mythic Sothis refine:
>+5 atk/spd/def/res
>Null follow-up or Dragon's wrath
>4 space support pulse/guard effect (if enemy enters combat within 4 spaces of unit inflict guard during combat and at the end of combat inflict special cooldown count +1 on enemy.
With this she gets amazing effects and fulfills her role as a defense mythic.
That sounds kinda nice actually, it feels like it also references her Divine Pulse effect too
Since Divine Pulse is all about giving you a favourable outcome

I forgot all about ideals. But for boon it really depends on the purpose of Fae. For mine I boosted HP since I went support and having higher HP allowed her to affect more enemies with skills like sudden panic. If you are tanking and have dragon wall spd or res might help to reduce damage or doubles. If offensive always go speed.

If you have enough code 3 there is atk/spd ideal 4 held by Louise in the blazing/binding/sacred stones line of codes but it'll set you back 1200 codes.

I think he's too old to get reruns. They could add him to the daily GHB rotation for the anniversary, however there's no guarantee that it'll happen next year.
He could show up on the next Radiant Dawn HoF in like couple of months, but the three most recent HoFs had units released from the second half of 2019 up to early 2021, while Haar is from early 2019. I'd say it's unlikely but not impossible.

I appreciate what the new artist is doing by remaining faithful to her original art and the new Fae is definitely very cute, but the facial expressions don't compare to how expressive Himukai's art can be. We're also comparing 2017 Himukai, Legendary Fae is a complete improvement on his artwork, just look at how fluffy her wings look compared to the resplendent art, there's no comparision. The shading also doesn't even come close.

Himukai tried to make her look badass which doesn't fit her, the new art actually goes for the sweet small chicken feel.

Nah the old art really feels cheap. The resplendent art stays faithful to the original but improved it on every part. And I have to say that the attack/special arts of the respledent is more in character for Fae. It actually portrays the small, innocent/naive child that is Fae

What's the team/set up?
I used 2 teams to see what was best. Both teams was 1 dps and 3 dancers. The dps has 4x attacks, guard and a healing special.
The dancers have wom and thats it.
The team with the ninja lyn was the best for me.
I keep forgetting we have the free Lynja, I should use her.
I went back in and tested again because i thought corrin should be better then lyn and she was.
Got max score on round 4 with corrin and round 5-6 with lyn.

Best place to find builds is ironically in Summoner Duels. Just check top players on character you want to build and usually the builds are typically the best fodder the unit can hold.
Not really, you're better just asking here or as the other anon said, check Summoner Duels' top ranked per unit, also do yourself a favor and never use Gamepress for builds.

I don't think you can edit those anywhere except in Tempest Trials itself.
So pick a random difficulty with as many team slots available as you want to edit, and surrender each round to allow for the editing and (if necessary) locking of each team. It'll cost stamina, they'll need to have their skills and seals preset, and you may need to do it multiple times if you want to use the same seals on multiple locked teams, but what other option is there?

Why the frick isn't Deirdre a bonus unit in AR
I'm a indecisive b***h when it comes to foddering units, so I need advice. I'm +10 Summer Elincia, but I don't know if I should fodder a Bride Shanna for Swift Sparrow 3 and A/D Far Trace or Constance for Atk/Spd Push 4 and A/S Far Trace.
In favour of sacking Shanna:

>No need to 5s a Petrine or Gonzales and then fodder them
>SS3 doesn't have damage recoil

Wait to get pitybroken by Ascended Florina so you can get SD Far Trace. AFlorina also might be on Divine Codes 4 because the rest of her fodder isn't all that amazing, she feels like a unit that was made to stick in Divine Codes.
the defensive value of A/s push is to not get doubled by units that lack an autodouble. in either case fairly worthless in pvp. the real question is are you planning to use WoM in her team?

Me too, when I read the name "Engage" I seriously thought it would be a brand new mobile game. I do agree with some opinions that they're banking too much on nostalgia but at the same time I'm sure some Sigurdgays out there must be creaming themselves at seeing him in glorious 3D. Even Lyngays are being cattered.
This kind of feels like awakening, in that feel like a last ditch effort fanservice game. But I don't know why that would be, the series has already been saved and is now popular. The frick do they need another game like this for?
I feel like they're trying to get the newer crowd more invested into the older legacy characters. Nu-FE fans are allergic to the older games (doesn't help that RD and PoR are extremely expensive).

The release date for Engage is January 20th, which is around when CYL typically goes live, so I doubt engage characters will be in CYL this year.
If Engage isn't in the next CYL this will possibly be the last chance for non-lord/MC to win for a while. I hope to get Bernie a win before Engage comes out or else she will possibly be overshadowed by new characters. Bernie bros this may be our last chance to get her in or else she will fall to the wayside like Tharja who waned in popularity as the years drew on.

Is this LHB bugged or something? This sub 50-Atk red Fafnir can one-round-kill my L!Deirdre for some reason. I decided to kill it first instead and she tanked the rest, then on the next turn the same blue Fafnir she had tanked for 0 damage also one-round-kills her. This is not right, am I missing something?
The weirdest part is that the blue Fafnir kills L!Deirdre but if I move my Deirdre to a different position instead of ending turn with her on the same spot, then L!Deirdre once again tanks for 0 damage. This makes no sense at all.
Remember to pull Líf if you want his sword or else he'll be stuck in jail til IS lets him out again.

To be kinda fair I think that's what Legendary/Mythic Remix banners are for, those banners are always a good excuse to bring back Ascended Heroes, and before Duo Ephraim was saved from purgatory, I think he was on one or two of those
So I can see Rearmed Lif taking the place of some of those Remix banners just as filler
Those kinds of banners are suited for powering up your existing units in one way or another anyway

I do wonder with Rearmed heroes, can you inherit them a skill to effectively duplicate it? Example: Giving RH atk smoke 4. Then have another unit inherit skill from RH without you losing RH. Or will IS prevent this by only allowing you to inherit their(RH) base kit?

Looking to put together Nino when her HoF revival comes. Is this really the best I can shoot for? She'll be on an armor team protected by 2 Saves. I know she naturally comes with Bold Fighter and doesn't need it from HoF and I"ll pick up something else, but it seems to be her best option as an offensive armor mage.

Forma units can't be used as merge material but you can merge other copies you pull from gacha into the Formas, you can just use fruit to change their IVs to whatever you want.
You can't merge a forma into a forma of the same unit, though.

Well we didn't think such an occurrence of them rerunning the HoF would of happen so otherwise this would of been moot since it would have never came up.
Maybe they'll make a special exception for merging Forma into Forma. The whole restriction is kind of pointless now with fruit anyway.

You think that's bad? Is a waste on H!Nowi because you'll almost always teleport with her and Canto doesn't work under that condition. Tempo looks ok but I'd rather have something stronger on a PP unit, I'd rather continue using Desperation.
