Went for Fomortiis despite not having many orbs to spare, luckily I got him in less than 50. I feel like the game wanted to redeem itself after making me spend 850 orbs for a single L!Myrrh last month. Punching stuff with the Demon King is addictive, I'm so happy they finally released him.

I've seen plenty, but no frickign clue how to build him. What is a good build on him? Is dragons wrath, or dragon's Ire better? I might just give him my arcane Grima so the weapon isn't the issue.
This is the build I had in mind for his forma.
Dragon's wrath > ire for him, true damage and damage reduction are more valuable on fast dragons compared to the guaranteed followup from ire.
Blue flame obviously doesn't synergize with his prf but it's the only premium special skill available to dragons.
Blackfire breath isn't much better than his prf, you could switch it for flametongue since it's required for inheriting arcane Grima.

Is NFU kind of bad in the B slot now that the seal exists? I have a bunch of NFU fodder but I'm looking through the candidates and they all seem like they'd rather use something else in the B slot like Tempo, DR or Special Spiral.
NFU has been an inferior B slot choice for a very long time. Not having it built into your weapon leaves you at an innate disadvantage.
Not that it's bad, but there's so many ways of getting the most useful effect (bypass follow-up denial) that they figure, they might as well give it for free twice, both on Lumera and as the Seal.
Basically, NFU as the B skill is now a budget skill for infantry units that are fast, or are slow and have guaranteed follow-ups.

If you wanna max your bonfire power then just wait, but if you're going for a mixed tank build, Atk/res finish on B!Tiki is an cheaper option to sacrifice than Askr but if you don't have her and have an askr to spare then go for it. I'd say wait though since it seems like you're stacking atk/def

Dragon's Wrath 4, Mystic Boost 4 or Dragon's Ire 4
Spd Smoke 4 or Panic Smoke 4, go for Panic if low on merges.

What’s the best way to improve Felicia? I cant decide if Speed or Resistance should be her ascended stat. I’m also thinking about giving her Lull Spd/Res and Spd/Res Menace. But I don’t want to commit to anything just yet because I might be overlooking a better build.

Fourteen +10 units I rarely if ever use at this point, Tatiana and Luthier don't even have full skillsets. It's sad looking at units like Marth who's virtually useless or Felicia who was cursed with the first batch of refines and hasn't even gotten a Resplendent to slightly improve her horrible stats.
I built Leonie only because she was cute, she comes to use sometimes but my cavalry team has no space for her.

Not necessarily. One will be a mythic, the other won't, which means they should have different roles.

L!Marth's sweep effect gives him a niche that B!Marth can't cover, but they're generally very similar.
But in Gullveig's case, Mythic Heroes usually have a different impact on the game compared to regular units, and they can only be effectively used in one AR season, either in offense or defense. Brave units don't really have the same restrictions, but they also don't give any bonuses in AR.
Outside of AR, one could end up being way better than the other though.

Apparently it's slightly different in JP, and the pauses are supposed to make her sound more remorseful, especially when she kills (you) in the vision in the first chapter. According to him Gullveig JP text sounds regretful about killing everyone, compared to English where it doesn't come off that way.So it's not that she doesn't like talking, but has a hard time talking because she doesn't like what she is doing.

It doesn't cost much to run FEH, and IS kept Cipher going for years. I suspect FEH succeeded this much in spite of IS rather than because of it. as long as decent money flows, and there isn't something like a FEH 2 it should be able to keep going.

I feel like we just had a banner with Ascended Mareeta lately too. I remember giving mine a merge and giving Legendary Dimitri Vital Astra in the past while at least.
It may have been too soon for flower lord but I was kind of expecting the Hero Fest to be all Rearmed Heroes, since they're currently not even available while Ascended Heroes technically are in the main summoning pool. I was thinking of giving them an ascendant floret in speed and go for a speedy build. Considering that the refine gives a lot of spd and the refine gives a big damage reduction on the first hit but then nothing on the second, avoiding getting doubled could be interesting. What do you guys think?
In my opinion, anything below 40-45 Spd before buffs is not worth the trouble investing into, speedcreep has gotten extremely bad during the last year, also we have way too many units with "if unit exists guaranteed FU" effects.

Of those listed? I'd want to go with F Grima or F Shez because they seem pretty fun to use, and the former can give new life to my old dragon units.
As for sword units, do you want to summon for them or use Grails? The latter guarantees your unit, but you'll lack a boon and a bane, while the former has no guarantee since there's other units that could appear, but you could also get one with good stats.
That's probably the first thing. After that, see if you want a fast unit, and I mean fast enough to keep up with modern Spd demons, or otherwise, go for a bulkier unit. The sword should work well for either.
Any Rearmed is a solid choice because you always get to keep the unit.

I use her for both but I favor Far Save. Hell, I think that a Melee unit with a Hardy Fighter is better than proper ranged tank for Far Save nowadays, Grima in particular is really good because of Armor immunity, same as Idunn.

people are just still traumatized by it I guess. Honestly, even to this day I think fedelgard is the unit with the most effect on the meta.
I'm honestly surprised she caused so much trauma as it is, same with Surtr back in his day for that matter
Don't get me wrong, she probably hard stat checked 95% of the units in the game at the time and probably still stat checks a good 80%+ today, but there was at least the impression of being able to work around her, you could kite her around to a fort, or to get her to untransform, or just manfight her with your entire team's grouped up and buffs piled onto your frontliner
Compare to basically any of the dominant cavnuke or their various dancing/teleporting enablers over the years, who were (and still are) all basically designed to be impossible to get away from, and to also grab a kill no matter how clustered and buffed up your team was
Old eras with Rein/BLyn or LAzura etc felt like way more of a pain in the ass than rogue FEdels ever did
Even when I did my best to play around her for the most part she would often just murder someone in Arena, and I needed a specific counter to her. I didn't even play much arena when she was out, but damn if everytime I saw her she was a massive fricking pain unless I had a unit to specifically counter her.
Fedelgard was a multifaceted problem that I would say comes down to the following:
-You needed a dedicated unit to deal with her, the vast, vast majority of units were simply not kitted out to be able to handle her even under ideal circumstances, and many units couldn't deal with her even if they were specifically outfitted to deal with her, budget counters for her were very inconsistent and could easily be thrown off by:
-She had ways of countering her counters fairly easily. Stick svallin shield on her and she is coming out of half the engagements she would have lost just fine, stack resistance on her and she is coming out of the other half. She was so ridiculously overtuned that most units who could deal with her only did so just barely, and anything that threw that combat math off probably changed the result of who wins the fight
-she was both a powerful player phase unit and a powerful enemy phase unit, and by extension most counters for her really relied on only being able to kill her during one of those phases, because combat doesn't exist in a vacuum, even a character that is properly kitted out to deal with her might simply never be able to get to her during their advantage state
I would personally definitely take horsemeta over fedelgard. At least they died to shit they were supposed to die to.
She's still an annoying shittier on VG, when I try to use any character I like who can't counter her I'm done if she's on the enemy team and I got paired up with some shittiers.

I think that's probably my biggest gripe with her, because at least the cav spam could be dealt with if you had a good enemy phase tank
With Edelgard, you have to be careful that no one with weak defenses is near your tank, because she can just get her free turn and just attack them instead

Don't forget about the healing, which means that you have to kill her on a single fight or you're dead

How do think I feel as I helplessly try to increase my Nowi's Spd as much as I can, while the new units are coming with 46 base Spd and prfs that increase it even more? Even at max Dragonflowers and Resplendent she only reaches 34 Spd before any further investment. Raising defenses also starts to feel like a losing battle with so many true damage and guaranteed follow-up effects. I was waiting to fodder a H!FCorrin to her but I just don't know anymore.

I still would, since that's still a bit of extra DR from Wrath 4, although unless you have Finish 3 fodder beforehand then you can't really get Dragon's Wrath 4 and Atk/Spd Finish 4 at the same time

You are generally looking for as close to possible to 100% uptime for GLR, and having a very good speed stat. You can get reasonably close with a slaying prf (or if applicable, a slaying arcane weapon), shield pulse, and time's pulse. Any other prfs that give special charge at beginning of turn or at start of combat are obviously going to help as well.
It can also combo reasonably well with a somewhat nontraditional vantage build, as it allows you to charge it before getting hit. You aren't aiming for the vantage strike to kill them, just to do damage and charge GLR.

There is so much bullshit in this game now that I feel like an effect like that is just tame
Even those feel like they'd be undertuned at this point. A lot of modern units just give all kinds of buffs or inflict statuses for simply existing that staff units should be the ones to have as the support role in a party, not to mention how much self healing exists nowadays. Staves can't even charge specials as well, especially at this point where other unit types get more gimmicks to charge faster, so the first offensive special for them isn't that amazing off of duo Elise.
Celine is a better healer than most staff units, and being a tome she has none of their limitations. I really don't get the thought process behind gimping staff units this hard, maybe when the game first released having a unit who could inflict panic, gravity or -6 to a stat was powerful enough to offset it, but now staff units just aren't worth it.
Time pulse gives the 0 cooldown, but you gotta sacrifice the C slot for that
Duo Elise herself is a good unit, but everyone who thought she was bringing healers new toys is going to be sad. What we all thought was Wrathful Staff 4 was actually a PRF skill, and Holy Pressure probably only works on Duo Elise herself because she's the only Staff unit in the game with Special acceleration.
Theoretically we could get an Arcane Staff in the future, but at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if IntSys does every OTHER weapon (even Beasts), has nothing but Staff left, and then quietly loops back to Swords.

Brave Hector and Epik Edelgard especially were the tipping point that made IS give a lot of units NFU to combat them. Add to that NFU was not only given away as a seal but was put on a grail unit.
To be fair, it's missing the cd-1. That'll always be a huge downside to any non-arcane inheritable.
Slaying is so vital to a build nowadays, so if you don't have it, you're a free unit or a support unit or something.
Like how Lumera has DR, Guard, I believe true damage, and it's all good, but without the Slaying effect then she can't precharge and maintain Vital Astra, for instance.

Far Save implies they're an armor, who should have more than 50 Def or Res to make Bonfire or Iceberg better in that case. I guess if you're using one that has mediocre defenses, though, sure.
Blue flame can potentially be more consistent in dealing damage because it is a guaranteed 25 damage while bonfire/iceberg can be increased or decreased depending on buffs from allies or debuffs inflicted by the opponent. Personally I'd rather Aether assuming they have accelerated cooldown so they dish out damage and get heals.

So really this is only Cross Spur Atk/Spd.
She had that before, the only difference is that they added +1 to the buff.
So yeah, the only non-combat buff she got was +1 atk/spd to cardinal directions. That's it. That's the refine.
It does help out if she can hit someone to proc a heal for an ally if they didn't need the dance. Unlikely as hell to happen, but potential extra utility is always nice.

Too early to tell, but if the bonus legendary is popular like L!Dimitri, players who don't have him will likely struggle to stay in T21.
Maybe it won't be as impactful when the bonus legendary is a new one since less people will have them at high merges.
At the very least, having the first Legendary on rotation for this new scoring change be LDimitri is a mistake.

Correct. But you'd need a high scoring bonus unit to get the same results as the bonus legendary.

Well the good news then is this doesn't devalue Duos nor does it allow you to stop equipping max scoring skills. The bad news is anyone that uses the bonus legendary, even not fully merged, is likely to outscore someone even using a different +10 bonus unit. In fact someone with full +10s hitting max defense score is gonna be capped at whatever the max possible score is while someone with a +1 or +2 bonus legendary can guarantee hitting that same max score every time or exceed it.
So in summary +10 Duos are still needed to push your max possible score higher, as well as rally+s and max sp skills but having the bonus legendary unit is absolutely pivotal now week by week. Players without the bonus legendary are almost guaranteed to get outscored.

I'm starting to realize that between Ascended Mareeta being on a banner right now, and both Halloween F Corrin and Flame Tribe Lyn with Atk/Spd Finish 4 and Godlike Reflexes respectively, the current set of banners is just full of fun new tools for Mareeta to use.
Velocity was just a bonus, I got an extra Ascended Hilda along the way, and the null Guard helps out to recharge GLR.
Don't forget Time's Pulse 4 from Nowi. If you have an ascended weapon going spare, you've got all the fodder to make any Vital Astra unit you want.

Like, both weapons offer Special accel, Shez's axe has DR, but it's dependent on HP thresholds for her and her foe, while Arcane Downfall's follow-up denial and restoration will probably help her survive even better, and I can just either run a DR skill in the B slot, or give her Spd Smoke 4 if I ever got an extra or something

I wish the celestial stone shop had codes/manuals to buy. I would honestly prefer rare or useful skills over most of what is offered in the shop.
There is a lot of shit they could put in the stone shop that would be cool, but they never fricking will. Florets, the other kind of forma resource, orbs, manuals, etc. All of these things could be in there but for some reason just aren't.

Watch IS introduce pulse smoke 4 to counter this. Pulse smoke 4 will have the brave Tiki effect of "If foe's attack can trigger their Special inflicts Special cooldown count+1 on foe before foe's first attack during combat. With guard smoke tacked on to target and foes within 2 spaces of target.

I'm glad Fomortiis isn't popular enough for half my AA matches to have him. Accidentally took in an unoptimal team against him because I thought it was the normal Fallen Lyon and just barely won. The "cancels turn of nearby units" mechanic is complete bullshit.
I agree the "cancel turn" mechanic is a bit BS. I've lost units during AR forgetting about it or accidentally attacked into it not realizing it'd shut down 3 units due to not spacing my units out properly.
The way to differentiate Fallon Lyon and Formortiis is that Fallen Lyon has red eyes, head held high, and holds a tome. Formortiis has lifeless grayed eyes and head tilted down as if it were an empty vessel or puppet.

I have at least 1.5k Grails and no idea what to build next. The last thing I did was max out Naesala and that's only because we got so many free copies of him, so he doesn't even have any fancy skills other than Dive-Bomb.
So I just use the Grails to get fodder I need, whenever I need it.
I kind of wanted to build Yen'fay, every free copy I got was just a merge, but then he got outdone statwise by Holst and Lumera.

I have an abundance of grails, and wouldn't mind building some characters, the issue is fodder.
Most of them are book 1/2 characters that would need an insane amount of investment to be decent. On top of that There isn't a point in starting anything in particular until the arcane weapon they need comes out, as it might be for a completely different build type.

Morph Fimbulvetr is actually not too bad, but you have to deal with the recoil for one, and you also have to supply the Atk/Res buffs somehow, though I guess that's what the Rally and Ruse is for

Nino also comes with it and I'd say it suits her as well. I guess a -1 cooldown weapon with Time's Pulse 4 unit can use it provided they also have the Spd for it, of course.

Kinda sucks how there's so many skills that only 1 or 2 units have (some even seasonal exclusive) yet we're up to 17 units with Atk Spd Catch 4. Stop adding new Fighter skills every new armor unit and put Savvy Fighter and Daring Fighter on more stuff.
Artificial scarcity is a big way they make money. Savvy fighter is also more niche which is why IS doesn't release it often. There aren't as many speed armors, especially with speed creep.
Hardy is still better for those that can use both, so I'll just wait for the manual.
Who even wants Savvy Fighter? I got an extra Lucina so I just merged.
It's NFU and a bit of DR sure, but that DR can be pierced by Deadeye and similar effects, while Hardy Fighter lets you precharge an Aegis or Pavise which can't be pierced by such skills.

To be fair to Atk/Spd Catch 4, it's still the best A skill for quite a few units. It has a ceiling of +9 Atk/Spd, so it beats out most other A skills in terms of damage, it has no positioning requirements unlike Bonds/Unities/Solos, it's dual phase unlike Blows/Stances, and it doesn't do any recoil damage like the true clown shoes of the A slot, Push skills.
It only really loses out against Clash skills and Finish skills, but Clash skills aren't super consistent in prolonged fights and can't be used by Ranged units, while Finish skills are infantry locked while Catch skills are Cav/Flier locked.

I have 14k so far and the only manuals I might invest on are Louise for Fallen Tiki and Marth for Summer Tiki. I feel skills got powercrept a bit too hard in 2022.
You have prf skills with a billion effects now, Specials with entire skills built in to ensure their activation, B skills that inflict in-combat stat debuffs in addition to whatever else
Units now have everything in their power to basically say "frick you" if you don't have this effect or this effect
Even in terms of A skills, the only good skills at the end of each line are Close Reversal and Distant Dart, there's an overabundance of Solo and Push skills that no one wants to use anymore.

I don't know if I should roll for Elise, I want to improve my Genny but Poetic Justice feels both redundant and wasted on her, she already has Gravity in her prf and her Spd is not that good even with a superboon.
On the other hand, Vero would really appreciate those skills.
Genny would work as some kind of nuke by just stacking all the attack you can and firing the special, she could use that new special spiral/time's pulse 4 build.

I think it was a smoke just to take advantage of the rest of her build but it was very nice. If you have one can you post your corrin I should have saved it.

I have a FCorrin with Atk/Res Finish but the build I put on proxy has Arcane Grima, Surge Sparrow, Lull Atk/Spd and Atk/Spd Menace.
I don't like how this event always reminds me that my units aren't as invested as I think they are. Anyway, here's my $50 units. Currently leading with Catria since she's good even without merges. She also has Flow Guard if preferred.

Because they put a lot of effort into trying to make it work and now they are stuck with it. It isn't like frontline phalanx where they can just run it roughly twice a year and hope we forget about it. There are now like 3 different versions of this gamemode nobody wants to play and there are a frickton of rewards associated with it now.
I've been fighting the same 2-3 people for like an hour. I can't complain, I'm at least fighting people and winning some points.

Probably Summer Edelgard or Camilla. Those two and Fomortiis are the only ones in the top ten that I don't have, though Duo Thorr or another Opehlia would also be nice.
Ophelia, I guess. SS4's damage reduction piercing is a skill that's going to continue to age really well, and she also comes with AR Finish. She's basically like a mage Gustav in the sense that her kit has perfect fodder for any unit of her archetype.
But if I were to vote for a unit I'd actually use on their own, it'd be either Fomortiis or Camilla because they're way harder to kill than any other unit on this list.
