First FF

I’ve heard it said that the first Final Fantasy game that you play through will always be your favorite. Is this true? Which one was it for you?

XIII, so no, it's not true, and thank christ for that, that game was some of the dullest I've ever played
      >favorite
NES 3, I have not played 4-6 and 8 yet tho

Mine was Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest. So no, it's not true.

Yeah, mystic quest was my first rpg too. I can't remember what I thought of it as I've only played it that one time. Ff6 was my first real ff and while it holds a huge spot I think I like 3 more. So I'll just say 3-6 are my favorites.

Yeah 7 is my favourite but I must say 9 is very good. It's not as meaningful to me as 7, and probably still wouldn't have had I played that one first. I've just been a bit Cloudpilled me whole life innit

I played them all in order of release and 6 is still my favorite. 7 and 4 would be second but 7 hasn't aged as well.

yeah tbh if your first game was 8 i can see why you would like a game without a story

First was 9. I still like it, but it's nowhere near my favorite.
    Favorite is 4.

FFX. I played it, but only up to the Blitzball game. Then I didn't play it again until just this year, but I always thought of it as my favorite. I'm nearing the end and confirmed it is my favorite, but I've also nearly beaten or HAVE beaten 1, 6, 7, 8, 9. I love them all. They're all so good in different ways.

I started with the first game. I really liked it but it's not my favorite. FFV will forever be my most beloved classic FF game with III being a close second.

VI was my first and still my favorite, so it's true for me at least. IV and VII come close though, with V a little behind those.

V is the only one I’ve played that’s worth a damn. Although I haven’t played any of them after VII. That game was so fricking bad I stopped caring about the series. Is VIII-X any good? I’ve honestly never played any of them.

I started with the first one. I won't deny I have nostalgia for it but it's not even top-5 for me.

VIII was the first one I played but X was the first (actually the only) one that I finished. For all X's many faults at least it doesn't drag on. How anyone could get through VIII to the end I have no fricking idea.

The first one I played was the original Crystal Chronicles. I definitely have nostalgia for it but I like FF1, 5, Tactics and Tactics Advance better.
My first playthrough of 6 was my favorite first playthrough of any FF, but I don’t find it as replayable as the ones I listed.

6 definitly had the best story. You don't know what a good games is until you are playing as a ninja fighting ghosts on top of a speeding train

1 was my first. It's okay. 7 was my second. I hate it now. 8 will always be my fave, and it's like my third or sixth (can't remember if I played 4-6 first).

my first was 4 back in 1993, and while I liked it at the time, it's a thoroughly mediocre game. 6,7 and 12 are way better. hell, 8, 9 and 13 are better.

The 3d version of 4 is MUCH better.

I've played VII first. Not my favorite one, but it's still good. On the other hand the Final Fantasy Legend trilogy are my first three RPGs and I've loved the series since.
