>main storage room
I always end up building a little town with thematic buildings for the npcs with appropriate crafting stations and chests. Like, the alchemy table is with the witch doctor, all the wire & traps n shit are with the engineer and steampunker, the dye vat is with the stylist, etc.
I can't stand having a building with just a bunch of chests all over. Looks too shitty for my autistic tastes.
Might save time but such convenience curtails creativity. You’re not going to suddenly have a cool idea for a sealed away vault underground you can only reach with a teleporter if one chest can hold every item.
honestly this, magic storage is a must
over the years the game's content and bloat has increased but chest and inventory sizes have remained the same
base building is the worst part of my every new playthrough, getting rid of one part of that is a relief
I dunno dude, I understand what they're coming from. There are just some games that, while still fantastic, are simply just better with mods.
For example, Dungeon Keeper is one of my favorites, but I only ever recommend it with keeperfx. Similar with Morrowind how I can only recommend it if you get a mod to increase view distance so you can actually see further than just 10 feet in front of you.
>There are just some games that, while still fantastic, are simply just better with mods
Well obviously, mods enhance the experience. But playing with mods from the get go... it just feels wrong man
The one that makes all the female NPCs busty shortstack with huge breasts and fat asses.
Also the one that turns slimes into cute slimegirls.
Nothing else, no game changing mods. Play it vanilla like God intended.
You like cutting girls to pieces, smashing them into fine paste, tearing their bodies apart, annihilating their substance into nothingness, frying their skin until it turns into crisp embers? Man, I think there is something wrong with you.
This is not Bugthesda, you can play it in vanilla perfectly without mods or patch, but if you want big tiddy shortsacks or some shitpost in your game use the ones from the steam workshop, they are skins that don't affect the gameplay.
Vanilla Terraria is fine without magic storage in my opinion. Once you start adding mods though, it absolutely should be the first you install. Another good one would be infinite pylons or the one that removes happiness mechanic because content mods always have to add dozens of new npcs.
If you want additional end game goals, Fargos is a good mod with the souls and enchantments to work toward ultimate power, if you care to. Thorium is a content mod that works well with vanilla terraria without going nuts. Spirit is pretty good as well. I personally like Stars Above as a mod for the bosses. Calamity is a content mod you use if you want bullet hell hp sponge bosses.
There are a bunch of quality of life mods that can be pretty cheaty though like wing slot.
Yeah, it's in the 1.4.4 build. Look it up in the steam terraria beta tab and make sure "none" is selected. Otherwise you might be opted into the experimental build that's buggy, or the 1.4.3 build that's for legacy, and of course the ancient 1.3.6 build.
Aw man, I actually learned why zoomers have that haircut. A lot of them start getting a receding hairline in their teens. My wife showed me a TikTok a while back where a bunch of teenagers were pulling their hair back to show how their hairline is at the middle of their fricking scalp.
I sorta feel bad for the zoomzooms now.
Imagine having a hairline that far back when you're only fricking 16 years old. Absolutely grim.
The infinite storage chest one, inventory management is a huge pain
Yeah, this is basically the only one I'd say you "need".
Don't use mods like that also don't place torches everywhere. Or else "you didn't beat the game".
Unironically made my game time infinitely more enjoyable.
Do not use magic stoage it ruins the Terraria experience.
>spend an hour organizing my chests
>it's never perfect
>have to remake the room if I need more
idk maybe im moronic
It's part of the charm. The design of a players base tells a story about them and their playthrough.
That's why you always plan out your main storage room to have like 50 chests in it from the get-go

Absolutely not. How do you even though it's a good idea while morons like this exist .
...unless I'm the mistaken here and you are just as pathetic.
How about you just play the fricking game the way it was intended to be played.
Magic storage. The devs even like it
the skeletron remover
trash slot and max stack size
Buff Witch Doctor
literally no reason to mod this game since they added apaches
mods remove the sovl
>First time playing this
>are there any essential mods
Jesus Christ
Some games do need essential mods even for a first playthrough. Terraria isn't one of them however.
fricking zoomers man, i feel ashamed of sharing the board with you adhd homosexuals

You just describe an average Bethesda game
Lots of games are made better experiences with mods. Planescape Torment will always be best enjoyed with the cut content restoration mods for example.
It's like DSFix for Dark Souls PTDE or Grayface Patch for Might and Magic 6. Or extensive modpacks for Skyrim.
calamity infernum
No, the game in current version is good as it is.
You could try some expansion mods (Thorium, Calamity), but save it for your 2nd playthrough

Frick do I love slimegirls.
Post shortstacks and slimes.

Maybe. I only do it with love though.
does tmodloader even have all the vanilla features
At least experience the game without mods first, maybe with the exception of minor qol changes.

all of em
>using mods for a first time playthrough
You’re not a real gamer
Always go vanilla on your first time. This way you'll appreciate the mods on your next go-around.

>First time playing this, are there any essential mods?
that sentence should give you a lifelong ban on videogames
Why Calamity of course.
Yes, but not for your first playthrough. Come back after you beat it.
I recommend auto-trash.
does tmodloader terraria have shimmer

bussin bro
nice bait

imagine believing shit you watch on tiktok
I dunno man, why else would kids have the top ramen hairstyle if not to hide their balding in school?
they just fricking love broccoli
Ya know? Now that I think of it, I've never seen younger people eat broccoli.
Frickers need to watch power puff girls to learn how delicious that is.
it's trendy
Not him but that webm has been posted here many times
Some form of recipe mod is nice too just to know what makes what along with the boss checklist one if you don’t want to modify the content of the game
