It has a few minor glitches that weren't present in original and more minor stuff. I don't remember well, don't overthink it, PS3 is fine
The physics are weird and they removed the fog, which only showcases the terrible pop in when riding your horse.
Otherwise you get higher res and framerate so still not a bad version

People seem to hate the des remake but damn it really looks fantastic
Some of the changes seems to miss the point of the original, but fromsoft recently commented on it saying they were impressed by the remake so clearly they don’t care as much about those changes as others do.
To me the worst part about the DES remake is the jank shit about DES they didn’t change like certain weapon balancing or annoyances that From still has never fixed like ripostes whiffing on inclines.
It really is just a fan texture HD pack for a PS3 game which makes its launch price laughable.

Wonder looks weird and too much vegetation. The hate for it is overstated though. It’s a perfectly fine remake and good way to play the game on a modern device. I always recommend play the original of any game if you can but as someone who’s played all versions multiple times, it’s pretty good.
Some would argue the real killer is the physics, but honestly every version of this game has some weird and fricked up physics, including the original. They’re all just fricked up in different ways.
Don't listen to people saying ps2, just play the Bluepoint remake. It's amazing

Yeah people recommending the PS2 version aren’t considering how awful it runs and how bad modern tvs will butcher any 480i image.
I can appreciate the framerate and have a 300 dollar scale for ps2 games to make it tolerable.
Remake is fine, 60 fps are nice
PS3 version is the worst one, and breaks the controls. They ported the PAL version, but when moving to NTSC the physics breaks because it is tied to framerate. Grip/climbing controls are absolutely busted for this reason.
Either play/emulate the PS2 version, or play the remake on PS4.

no, because they devs caught the issue and corrected for it. it's only the PS3 version where they fricked up.
i bought this game and the controls were terrible, unironically the worst of any game i've played

The remake is great, but it's very colourful, you have to play with a filter and tweak it to be as bleak as the original.
