Where does Bethesda go from here?

the game was mainly made a pajeets so microsoft can fired them and reorganize the physical assets of bethesda and put the company as a support studio for other projects if not directly making it work on mobile games with activision's ips

They should have legit just copied daggerfall.
Give me 1 massive planet with a ton of shit and some sort of cruiser to traverse it faster with huge randomized frick you dungeons.

They could have limited the game to a full fleshed out single planetary system, ie - a star with five to seven planets, some with moons. They could have named it "insert name of galaxy here: insert name of planetary system here", ex - MilkyWay: Solis", and part two could be "MilkyWay: Pegasi", etc. The outer planets could be strange and icy. The inner planets could be hot and violent. The middle planets could be temperate and tropical, teeming with life.

Instead, we are given this soulless mess, procedurally generated, with constant loading screens all over the place. What a horrible game.

To abandon it all so they can focus all their heart into making a devastatingly good ES6 that will make waves throughout the industry for at least a decade. They fell, but they will rise again, smarter and stronger to deliver history.

They should make another fallout 4 dlc in the style of far harbor. Maybe with a wintery tundra theme

Todd should just lay off 90% of the staff and cancel elder scrolls 6. Return to classic dagger fall style and make budget mobile dungeon crawlers.

Bethesda cannot compete using their 20 year old engine, so they need to stop trying.

      >Bethesda cannot compete using their 20 year old engine

I went back and tried playing Oblivion again. There is a loading screen just to enter a simple house. Inside the house, there is a loading screen to enter the second floor, and another loading screen to enter the basement. I went exploring outside and found a camp with four tents. One of the tents was closed up. It required a loading screen just to enter a tiny little tent.

Bethesda really needs to move on from that engine to something much more robust and modern.

They have, the current version supports interior cells much bigger and with much more shit inside than Oblivon's.

I can tell by gameplay they probably took trips to NASA and jerked off NASA all-day pestering them about space questions like a teen all the models and things generally look like real objects cause they have no creativity (see fallout laser guns and generic high power laser modules) so they make everything from true to life the meds are fricking thermal paste syringes all this true to life modeling meanwhile they all have facial animations like they're eating a fresh out the space microwave invisible mini hot potato, it's all very sterile can't shoot and kill npcs which are mostly ugly and black the one character they gave character was the annoying fan

Release Elder scrolls 6 in unfinished, unpolished mess in the same engine they have been using for a couple decades. then let modders add pornography to the game.

Core fanbase eats up the slop, jerks off to the newest mods and then fights on the internet about how Tod is their god and his dick tastes like rainbows.

The worst part of it is they're aware they can do exactly the same thing with TES6 and it'll sell on brand recognition alone.
With Fallout it might not work so well anymore.

I think people are much more aware now of Bethesda's inability to develop a good game. I think people are going to hesitate before buying TES6 and wait for the video reviews to come out.

At this point it’s ID software and Tango gameworks making anything worth playing. Arkane and Machinegames are at a stage they probably should just be closed and sold off.

they banked on starfield being good way too much, microsoft needs to break up the whip with all the studio's they own if they want to be successful, gamepass isn't going to save them either.

they really need to just make a new engine or use one that's already made by someone actually good at their jobs.

They needed to make a new one for Fallout 76 but here we are. I’m genuinely surprised Starfield wasn’t the showcase game for a new engine as it would’ve made sense to show off new features.

too bad the story was generic as frick.

quite frankly I've seen indie games with bigger scopes, bethesta is either incompitant or they are professional scam artists and honestly I'm not sure which is worse.

so many cut corners and half assed shit with that game
