>being able to eat after inside a quest is casualization, not QoL
I know this is pasta but this is QoL because if I'm hunting solo I'd just end the quest and go eat if I forgot.
What is casualization is being able to eat after carting.
>In-quest eating is ok because if I'm hunting solo I'd just end the quest and go eat if I forgot. >Unlimited carts is ok because if I cart solo I'd just end the quest and go do the quest again. >Unlimited HP is ok because if I get hit I'd just drink my potion or end the quest and go do the quest again. >Unlimited item pouch is ok because if I run out of potion I'd just teleport to camp and get more or end the quest and go do the quest again.
no because quests cost, or used to cost, fees to be even allowed to take them. going on a quest and restarting because you forgot the food buff means you paid the fee for nothing. now, in post FU games this doesnt really matter because the economy in those games is so fricked that youll never really have a money or resource problem but in Dos and earlier buying armor and weapons was expensive and youd regularly sell any monster parts you didnt need to get some more dough. wasting the quest fee just to get a random chance at a food buff that might end up doing nothing or even being bad and reducing your stamina is not worth it.
>Adding the item wheel
no, managing your inventory bar, having the right items pre selected at the right time and knowing the positions of the items in your inventory to quickly cycle to them is part of the game >Being able to craft immediately with the item wheel
immediate crafting means no punishment for mismanaging your inventory. you have time to craft when the monster is running away. skill issue if you dont use that time. also, making crafting inconsequential means you might as well just give infinite inventory space or let the player resup mid quest. same thing >Being able to deliver gathered items to your itembox without limits
absolutely not and youre moronic if you think otherwise. having a limited inventory and having to decide on what to take on the quest and what to bring back from the quest is elemental to monster hunter >Being able to direct your palico to do things
yes, its going to do shit on its own anyways, having some more control is fine >Being able to simply hold a button to gather as much as you can
gathering is a decision you have to commit to. insta grabbinig the full item pool means you can gather shit in the middle of the fight instead of managing your inventory better. running out of items is your problem >Having the option to see your damage numbers
soulles, nothing else >Being able to see the drop rate for materials
youd look them up online otherwise so its fine if its baked into the game >Being able to use multiple camps in the area
with maps getting larger more camps are inevitable. but camps getting larger is a result of everything becoming faster which is what ruined the series to begin with >Being able to see shinys better
dont know what you mean, like items dropped by the monster? easily visible in older games imo >Being able to run outside combat without stamina drain
actual QoL >Being able to play on 60fps
not QoL. performance is not a design decision but tech limitation >Being able to see your movelist
actual QoL
>immediate crafting means no punishment for mismanaging your inventory. you have time to craft when the monster is running away.
Several games were on the 3ds where you could craft shit on the bottom screen in the middle of battle, this means nothing. If anything you should be complaining about how there's no risk to crafting anymore. >insta grabbinig the full item pool means you can gather shit in the middle of the fight
I think anon is referring to the qol gen added which let you hold down the button to continue gathering instead of having to mash and wait forever
Now that I think about it, being able to romance some of the cute hunters and having a more in-depth cultivation system wouldn't be an entirely terrible gimmick for a MonHun game as long as the base gameplay is still good.

rise did one better by not making you lose food buffs if you cart
