Dusk Stone and Moon Stone serve different functions. The Dusk and Dawn stones just need to be used more, instead of Gamefreak making up stupid new items and gimmicks to evolve Pokemon

Dusk is the dark/ghost evo stone. Moon is the magic/fairy stone.

They all serve different functions if you take the original names into account. Shiny Stone admittedly does sound like a Fairy type evo stone, but then you have Roserade in there seemingly at random instead of as a Sun Stone evo, and Cincinno avoided a Fairy retcon in Gen 6 so maybe light is supposed to mean power/energy in this context, who knows. Dawn Stone can and should be used more often though, especially to evolve Wyrdeer and Overqwil now that Styles are gone, provided they know the appropriate moves of course. If you want even more use for it, toss in Yanmega, Tangrowth, and Mamoswine.
Moon Stone is a catchall stone with no real connecting thread across its evolutions. The Nidos are royalty now? Delcatty and Wigglytuff have soft fur? Musharna and Clefable are pink? The Nidos are Medium-Slow while the rest are Fast.

There's nothing wrong with trade evolutions but I'm gonna make up some dumb specific retcons for trade evo mons now that Gamefreak is going balls to the wall with them.
