Im so mad about how poorly optimized this gane is for modern devices. I was trying to finish extraction point last night and found out my save file was corrupted so i crashed every time I played.
I hate to be that guy but id love if a studio like nightdive or something could update it for modern hardware and operating systems. Its just so unplayable, where even changing your fov involves creating new cfg files and praying it doesnt make your game crash more
Base-FEAR ran perfectly outside of one random crash, but Extraction Point crashed after every loading screen and when I got to the part where you run from a helicopter in the hospital, it bricked and wouldn't run properly.
Why the base game ran fine, but the expansions wouldn't is beyond me.

I've ran fear on windows 10 not too long ago and haven't experienced a single crash, base game and both expansion packs included.

Trepaingis's AI is fine for the game and too many people are treating an indie "u r teh badass" game with fear elements (like shitty horror segments and slowmo) like it's a fear sequel and holding it to those standards when it's not.
I enjoyed it alot. One of the few FPS games that make me actually feel cool. The only issues I have with it are one of the missions having an utter and completely nonsensical premise (I'm not going to spoil it because of the utter shock and moment of "What the frick?" being enjoyable/interesting in it's own right.
If you liked the Demo, the main game is just more of that.

i was screen sharing the game with my friend who was interested but would never buy it himself and when we got to that mission we were laughing our asses off from pure confusion

Trepang2 should have been the way the FEAR franchise would go

What rig do you have? I've had no issues with FEAR. Outside of turning off soft shadows, the game runs smooth as butter.

So, for those that have played Trepang, is it really the new Fear? Everything I've seen from it feels very flanderized.
Try asking in the trepang thread, no one in this thread has even played fear recently
