Wylls story actually sucks. It feels so incomplete and empty. They scrapped everything they had in the EA and now he barely has anything there. They always half ass the black guys story.
every conversation with wyll is the most cringe shit, all he talks about is how hard he has it while pretending that he doesn't think he has it hard and would totally do it all over again. I just left him in camp after act 1.
and, man... the dude STILL came on to me. like one camp event he's just standing there dancing shirtless and he's like "hey babe... wanna frick?" even though we'd never talked outside of his "?" events where EVERY TIME I called him ugly or moronic, but I guess I'd been gaining generic party-wide approval or something to trigger it for him even though he was afk in camp
I haven't done Wyll's story yet, but I'm braced for him to be a fraud that shortcutted his way to power and fame through his patron pact. The way he told the story about saving some kid or whatever when asked about earning the title Blade of the Frontiers--where he waxes poetic about how he couldn't stand by when someone was in danger and rose to the occasion, but doesn't remember the fight at all--makes me think he's full of shit. And I'm pretty sure he's lying about Karlach given that you mind meld and she was in the Blood War. Think Karlach's old master is the one Wyll made a deal with.
That is why I immediately disliked him and Gale. both come off as lying sleazeballs. Hopefully it gets better as they open up but Astarion weirds me out less because he's pretty at least a little open with his dishonesty even though he lies alot and sneaks around.
