I don't think so, unlike D:OS you can't talk to each other either which is a real shame
In EA you used to have lines where players interacted with each other, had specific dialogue talks with each other and player and player sex scenes were planned.
They scrapped it once they realized how much of an effort it'd be
the drow in bg3 look dumb
they're supposed to be pitch black, not light blue or something
and the faces are ugly as frick when drow are supposed to be beautiful
>pitch black
That's how I seen them too, but frankly I think I seen official art do them differently as well. >faces ugly
Some of them only, others look pretty nice to me.
But in any case, I don't want to deal with shitty companions, customizable hirelings would allow me to do all drow babe squad run while nuking all shitters around us.
Larian has this weird hard-on for pushing their origin characters into the foreground and giving them additional content compared to your own original character. It isn't surprising that you don't have any choices when it comes to additional potential party members. They want you to play the game their way.
Well, all games have limited options. But I just wished hireling customization was better. It might seem nothing, but it just adds a roleplay option, where you have your own backstories, and even if hirelings to talk, you can imagine how they would act.
It's good when you don't like companions you are given.
I just wonder why they didn't add option to change race and gender of hirelings. Is it something with the engine and character creator or what, would seem to me not too difficult to implement.
At least Pillars of Eternity allows you to customize your mercs (they still fall behind in levels). Then you have Pools of Radiances or the Icewind Dale series that are built around creating entire parties. Pretty sure Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir too.
You have no idea how much this trend of only creating one character bores me in party-based crpg's.
>(they still fall behind in levels)
Kind of a moot point then. I agree though, it's not something you see anymore and I blame game devs underestimating their audience.
>You have no idea how much this trend of only creating one character bores me in party-based crpg's.
This can work as long as they keep the crpg opened ended, and not have the story be focused on the party itself. Kinda like old school crpgs like wizardry.
Unfortunately, the next edition of DnD is gutting all the culture for fear of being seen as racist. Monks aren't even allowed to use qi/ki/chi in the next edition.
5E drow have sunlight sensitivity so you get disadvantage on attack rolls and perception checks. Pretty much all underdark races have it.
Like anything else though 5E really doesn't give a shit about hard rules because it knows you're just going to homebrew half the shit out and replace it. That's why they could get away with the Echo Knight not having restrictions or definitions for half of its abilities.
For me too.
But why can't you create custom hirelings in BG3/edit hireling race? I would just make all drow squad.
It'll probably be modded in later. I too don't want to have preset characters.
that is weird considering you can play multiplayer with four custom characters
Can you sex each other in coop? Asking for a friend.

Yeah, Pillars of Eternity allowed you to customize hirelings. What could really prevent it for BG3?
supposedly it's related to the mocapped facial expressions in dialogue
doubtful. theres general expressions for conversations for any character you can make.
hirelings dont need anything more complex than that.
aisloppa
how come it hasn't improved over this year?

you can make pitch black drow if you want, they've never been consistently depicted like that though and there are a wide range of drow skin colors
Except for in their most iconic and first appearances that depicted the BLACK ELVES as the jet black Salvatore described them as.
>you can make pitch black drow if you want
no you cant
>but look at this picture with zero lighting!
Drow haven't been pitch black since 2E and they were basically just Africans worshipping a spider queen.
Yes, elves. Don't like them? Then leave, or you will be fed to driders.
Elves are shorter than humans in D&D. Imagine towering over a drow (female)
she's still taller than you from on your knees beneath her heel, rivvil
And this thread will talk about tons of video games!
I talked about video games. Why doesn't BG3 allow me to customize hirelings?! I want all drow party!
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

so just like every other CRPG ever made?

It's not a trend It's been the dominating standard for over 25 years. You want to play blobbers.
For me, it's the Ogre.
My disappointment with his "proper" fight with baki will never be eclipsed.
Don't worry, after a couple more 200+chapter runs of nobodies being built up to be bodied anyway, we can get a rematch!!!!
I dunno man, I loved that fight. I think it's one of the best in shonen.
>for me, it's dr-ACK
sho sho, scalie gay
gay, hirelings don't need dialogue
drow are for breeding
The men are white and the woman is black
Does anyone have "female elves have bigger penises" pic?
matriarchies are banal at this point but beta nerds love the idea
Not all drow are matriarchal anyway, not even in FR, unless they retconned things in 5e, but I don't care. Much less in other settings.
Matriarches make sense for an evil community since women tend to be the most chaotic and sinister.
You realize one can simply like assertive women? They are spirited. It's nice when people are capable.
like to mating press normally assertive women you mean?
>favorite D&D race isn't in
>Genasi and Aasimar mentioned
>Not playable

kek DnD never ever. Sticking with 3.5 and pathfinder as usual
Doesn't this game take place mostly on the surface? Wouldn't you have a pretty massive debuff playing or did they destroy Drow in 5e?

The sunlight sensitivity already hardly mattered in 5e (depending on how much the GM enforced it), but for BG3, it was entirely dropped.
Gay.
judgement looks cute
