Not entirely false, but I know it is a good game, I just can't deal with the static DQ esque RPG mechanic and having no action button so I never finish it.
I do think the aesthetic is great, the humor and artistic direction as well, the storytelling and the writing is great and the music in 3 is fantastic. I have listened to this game's ost for years, but I am by no metric a fan of Earthbound/MOTHER.
I have tried to play them, though and I might consider playing MOTHER 3 again if it had an official NA release, but the most I've done beside playing the games to the halfpoint, is watch playthroughs for the story.
Earthbound had a strange 90s-anime story that's still sort of interesting, but the game play is dated even for 1994. It's Dragon Warrior level grindy and there's no real incentive to do it other than you have to if you don't want to be too weak to fight the bosses.
Secret of Mana came out a year before EB and Chrono Trigger a year after. Infinitely more fun games on every level. Read an Earthbound(Mother) manga if you're interested in the story, but don't play that shit.
Pokemon. You grind levels to evolve/get stronger, there's the entire breeding thing for stats, completionism with the Pokedex, and then there's the meta of Nuzlocke.
I've never been into FF, but I am really into Ogre Battle, so I have played Tactics Ogre LUCT on PS1 in the past and the terribly slow pace of those games means that you have to be a masochist to consider yourself a fan, but the aesthetic of Tactics Ogre and the music is so gorgeous that I lasted the whole way through.
But now that TO Reborn exists, everyone now knows that with QOL improvements and fixing the pacing issues, there is a top tier game in there. Hopefully the FFT remaster will be as high quality.
Why can't you just say "games you don't like" like a normal person? why this place needs to mask that reason behind thousands of buzzwords that at the end mean the day they are same fricking thing?.
because there are people out there playing Destiny 2 RIGHT NOW forcing themselves through another fricking slog raid to try and upgrade their light level or get the one weapon they think will make the game tolerable for them for the next month
Because honesty doesn't get you any attention. This is clearly a bait thread meant to encourage trolls trolling eachother.
This thread is relatively free of homosexualry, so even in dishonest intents, you can find the possibility for genuine discussion.
War Thunder, World of Tanks and GTA Online. You ask the people who play these religiously why they do it and they'll be dumbfounded. Their second favorite hobby after playing these games is incessantly complaining about how shitty they are.
I don't understand the lemon hate. I can eat lemons straight up without wincing at all or feeling in any way weird. Maybe my taste buds are just fricked
Any platformer made after the formalization of twitch gameplay or kaizo level design. Having to train muscle memory on a level-by-level basis to hit pixel or frame perfect platforms is shit. After a degree of challenge in design you aren't "playing" a game anymore you're being programmed to perform correct inputs. >indieplatformerdesign.jpg
COD had an objective hard quality falloff after Cold War. The games have less content and are even more buggy with the company getting into some controversy every other weel
Any Souls game. It's the IPA of vidya.
>everyone pretends to like it
Really is forced enjoyment, no one played it but it somehow has a cultural impact.
Most zoomer-tier post I've seen in a while, legitimate bait
I love earthbound, you have to play it till the end
Horizon games
League of Legends and CS:GO
WARFRAME
Starts out meh but then you get Giant's Step and suddenly the entire game becomes good

Yeah this. Was forced to play through it and it honestly sucked, except some of the music tracks and some art design.
What a fricking dumbass, you posted the wrong image, let me correct you
Both are troony games. One thing does not exclude the other.
Pokemon. You grind levels to evolve/get stronger, there's the entire breeding thing for stats, completionism with the Pokedex, and then there's the meta of Nuzlocke.
You're not having fun, you're clocking in time.
Bro, workaholics actually enjoy work, though.

Stop pretending it's good
Fallout Tactics because it's a game people naturally want to skip, and you'd only play it for cred-seeking hipster reasons.
Fable 1. They pretending it's good due to old Xbox loyalism.
And I'm also going to say Final Fantasy Tactics. It seems like a game for people who want to think they are better than the average FF fans.

[game I don't like]
Counterstrike. It hasn't been good since 1.6.
Any COD game after Cold War
Any and every gacha

every single AAA release in the past 10 or so years
War Thunder, World of Tanks and GTA Online. You ask the people who play these religiously why they do it and they'll be dumbfounded. Their second favorite hobby after playing these games is incessantly complaining about how shitty they are.
the popular game I don't like
How can you even know someone is pretending to be enjoying something?
Gacha games are the only ones that really apply. You're not having fun by playing vidya, you're gambling, usually with real world cash.
Any woke game
Elden shit.
ToTK. It's a glorified DLC.
Keep seething.
To be honest, I had my share of fun already of that game after 100 hours, there's absolutely no way I am going for a 100%.
>It's just a DLC!
Lol. Even if that were true, how does that affect whether or not you forced yourself to play it?
Nu god of war
Kenshi
>your answers are wrong!
>my answer is right!
Correct your answer is wrong, your point?
i dont understand how people can legitimately "like" any of the saga games. they sre dreadful experiences.
I don't understand the lemon hate. I can eat lemons straight up without wincing at all or feeling in any way weird. Maybe my taste buds are just fricked
