did you kill the golem?
if not then just reload before entering the forge
Yeah killed the golem. Did the whole thing. Killed him twice actually because homosexual mephits made me drop my sword and it disappeared. Took a while. At least I got the good armours I guess
Wtf that's like endgame tier shit?!
Yeah I definitely recommend getting it. Golem fight is kinda hard unless you get it perfect. I guess it was kind of the final boss for the EA so its still pretty strong
It isn't hard if you smash his ass with the forge hammer.
No it fricking wasn't. The homosexual dwarves rolled better initiative and pushed two of my guys to the lava.
"challenging" fight might be better. Can't you just use bless and let them fail athletics anyway?
i put down an explosive barrel before the fight started. ez win :*~~
I just sided with the other dwarves who betrayed him, made my fight easier. Funnily enough, the betrayal leader got pushed into lava at turn 1 and died, while most of my party remained safe.
Is that the dude who says are you a true soul too?
I avoided answering because I thought if I said nope frick them he would kill me for brownie points or something. I ended up thunderwaving dwarves into the lava. That whole fight took like 2 hours it was fricking ridiculous.
I don't remember what he said, but he was with a black bald dwarf, just before entering the lava area. He asks you to destroy the scriving eye before liberating Nere. You are then helped by 5-6 dwarves during this fight.
>Turn 1 dwarf dash + shove my characters into lava
>Good fight
Shove needs to be an action.
I freed him, but then he acted like an butthole to me, so I reloaded an earlier save and let him die. It was much more convenient.
FRICK IT.
Barbarian or Paladin. Which one is more fun, which one has more dialogue changes. I'm making a Drow (Male(actual male)).
Barbarian looks fun, but I kinda have an image of trying to follow the Oath, then breaking it at some point for the grimdark aesthetic/head canon and just going full fricking nazi,
Paladin+Cleric has unique dialogue choices depending on your deity.
All classes have unique dialogue choices.
What I meant was, Multiclassing between Paladin and Cleric gives you unique dialogue exclusive to being a Paladin and a Cleric.
Does warlock has unique dialog options for subclass/patron? Like some gibberish for Great Old One to scare people.
I'm playing as archfey, nothing unique to the subclass
I'm having fun with my Berserker Barbarian. Shoving people into their deaths and throwing shit at them never gets old.
One of the companions is a Barbarian already, but none are Paladin.
Drow b***h is a paladin, but you need to commit war crimes to get her
Just don't do help the Grove or the Goblins.
what does the fire golem drop? also i just left nere to die in the cave, seemed like the best option
>get quest to rescue Nere
>assumed there are no quest time limits so frick off and do other shit in underdark.
>Come back and now everyone is gone.
Frick, did I miss out on a lot? I can reload an earlier save but that's 3 hours.
This happened to me too so I reloaded but I only lost like an hour or so. I got to free the slaves there by doing that quest.
Frick me, this just happened to me too. Really hope I didn't miss out on too much. found the area hours ago and it's way too late now.
dont think so, you blow open the tunnel to rescue nere, and then he wants to kill everyone cuz hes mad, then you chose to fight with or against him, not sure if theres follow up stuff if you side with the dwarves - but if u help nere theres nothing else
in my playthrough nere just died without me doing anything, then all the dwarves fricked off from grymforge without explanation. was kinda spooky
Did you rest? If you sleep there the game just continues without you.
What's a good strategy for this fight besides just feeding all the dwarves to the lava? I'm stuck as frick on this. Any spell requiring concentration is useless because there's just too many dudes and it's impossible to roll that many misses even with karmic dice off. I'm going mad I've been stuck here forever and there are PALADIN dialogue options.
I feel like I should have cleared this fight but then some BULLSHIT happens and I fail.
>oh wait if I just put my casters up on this ledge I can rain down hell from above!
>nice Gale almost took them all out with Fireball, I knew that was a good spell to take!
>Archer fricking shoots Wyll and blasts him 50 feet into the lava
>mfw
I just want to get past this fight. I'm done with this shit area it's been the first area in the game I'm actually completely over. I'm done I don't want to be here anymore. Frick this whole tower everything here has sucked.
What really helped me was putting the game on easy for this fight and setting back after. Frick this fight
explosive barrel in the middle. its that simple
you mean where all the dwarves hang out where the fight starts?
just near the middle where they all move to at the start. you can place the barrels without them being hostile or anything
Speak to Elder Barbin or whatever he's called, side with him and his rebels, gives some canon fodder for the fight.
Position your guys before the fight and spread them out away from the lava.
If you have a rogue park them behind the crossbow dwarf on the ledge and backstab that motherfricker early
Push enemy dwarves into the lava
Push Nere himself into the lava (don't do this as you can't take his head for the shroom king)
git gud
>end of act 2
>i chose to "embrace a power"
>my character now looks vile
>all of my companions also look vile
Is that a wrong choice for a good playthrough? I just wanted to frick around with new abilities
>i chose to "embrace a power"
>Is that a wrong choice for a good playthrough?
>embrace the power so i can save more people
What is wrong with this? Anyways there's no way it doesn't let me forfeit it later on. I'd be happy if it corrupts my good character, kino
>I accepted horrible monstrosities for personal gain, why does my character look bad now?
Killed golem and then nere & all darkie dwarves without rest because nere kept dying in the gas chamber
If you want gnomes to live you shouldn't summon Shrekgner PMC
OH MY GOD WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME TO LET VOLO DO THE SURGERY
>everything tells you that itd be a horrible fricking idea
>it goes entirely terrible as youd expect
>but you get a sweet permanent buff out of it
its something that no one would do if you didnt tell them about it, its hilarious
honestly I wouldn't have even if I wasn't bored at work reading the steam reviews and saw one mention that he's a great surgeon. I knew he wasn't going to take out the tadpole but... I got curious. Quicksaved and everything.
What a fricking legend.
