what the frick?
I don't know about you but if I were a deep sea tour company. I would use something more advanced to control a sub that will go hundreds of meters deep into antarctic ocean
But for all we know that controller does everything you need to control that sub, and it might even be more reliable than modern ones in this instance.

Steam controller chads wouldn't of gotten lost undersea.
I learned about this sub thing just today and each new information I learn is absolutely insane to me >sub is basically a giant pipe with a motor >sub has no windows and only a camera >supposedly there's s toilet but I couldn't see one in the prints they shared >sub is sealed from outside (epic iron lung reference) >the sub can go as deep as 1000 feet, titanic is 13000 feet deep

Normalgays are moronic, rich normalgays doubly so.
Meanwhile, I'll just relax in my comfy autistcave and never do anything dangerous.
No I don't care I "NEVER LIVED" at least there is a 0% chance I'll die to moron shit like this.
>tourist thing?
yeah, but its for rich people. this was the third year, in 2021 you could go down for 150k, now its 250k. its not exactly tourism when you have a sign a massive document saying "you might not come back"
I'm sure they all signed a waver that makes the company not liable for anything lmao
If you're going to the bottom of the ocean in a tiny privately owned submarine you kind of know the risks
Depends. Like the family would have to go to court to challenge the waiver. But since the CEO is on board the Oceangate, the company likely sinks with him. There is no more assets to extract.
So assuming they are still alive do you think that they’re keeping it nice with each other so that when they believe they get rescued they’ll have a good tale to tell about their spirit and camaraderie? Or have they already killed the dumbfrick CEO for dooming them inside a metal coffin and are smearing their goodbye messages on the walls with his blood?
I doubt anybody killed anybody.
If (big if) they are still alive they are probably all just silently laying in their own corners not talking to conserve energy and air.
frick that you couldn't pay me 250,000 dollars to get into that piece of shit
that being said going to the Grand Canyon and watching a video of the Grand Canyon are two completely different things and anyone who says differently is either poor or a shut-in neet

Do you even know how much a billion dollars is, moron? The fact that you're making a judgement call based off of one purchase from them is telling about how much of a tard you are. > I will be playing some game and then all of a sudden it will lag and lurch to the point of frustration. I really want to scam a rich person out of money. I feel like fricking with people with money is a fast way to go end up in jail though.
Surprised there isn't a company that has made water drones with good camera resolution. Seems it would be good for people who can't dive nor swin.
Also, can anyone recommend a good air drone?
im more amazed they didnt have any backs up for frickups
something they can use to make the thing float to the surface(like in most movies)
or some gps tracking thing so they can always be found
Carbon fiber is damaged cyclically. It's possible it was slightly compromised after so many dives and all they would have heard is a small cracking noise before instant death and being crushed like a tin can.
Any reason the GPS receiver can't be floated out in case of emergency? Yes it will drift but it would at leats narrow the search range. Or just have it with some rope to the sub.
the submersible's mother ship hasn't moved at all since it happened and that will already mark as a decent search area starting point. the problem is depth.
unless you're tethered the only thing we have is deep sea sonar which sends waves of info at like literally 1 kilabyte per second. it's not something this sub had and even thats never been used 2 miles down.
From what I’ve seen this thing was built and maintained by a workshop of 8 people who have since gone into hiding and closed up the premises.
The CEO went on record saying that safety wasn’t a priority.
No matter what sort of waiver these morons signed to go into this death trap my money is on the lawyers stringing up anyone who built this thing and particularly the people in charge of maintenance. The lack of basic safety features and likelihood of the vessel not being properly serviced after those deep dives is going to consign these guys to the legal shadow realm.
>The CEO went on record saying that safety wasn’t a priority.
Can you imagine saying this about a sub that is supposed to reach the Titanic, lol. Whole thing is just insane
They thought of all of those.
The guy who runs the joint (also one of the people now dead) said it wasn't worth the money and that safety is for suckers.
these aren't middle eastern oil tycoons anon these were philanthropists who made their money from sustainable renewable things and donated to poor communities
I genuinely want these people to fricking die due to their endless pursuits trying to fill a hole in themselves with money.
Nobody gives a shit that you saw some stupid boat that only has any significance because they made a movie about it. If I was at a party and you told me you paid a quarter of a million dollars to do this I'd probably involuntarily snort with laughter.
No it doesn't come from a place of edginess, man. I sincerely think people who spend an extravagant amount of money just to say they've experience something that someone without money could not got what they deserved.
Like these people rolled the dice on this so they could make a fricking Instagram post.
no wonder the ceo went down with them, the CEO wouldnt of been able to pay them back when it failed....
the people were probably just "risktakers" like morons who visit antarctica
>Nobody gives a shit that you saw some stupid boat that only has any significance because they made a movie about it. If I was at a party and you told me you paid a quarter of a million dollars to do this I'd probably involuntarily snort with laughter.
you sound like an uneducated Black person people go to shipwrecks all the time that aren't from movies because it's cool and eerie
Yeah but these idiots didn't. They had to see the big one so they could brag that they saw the flippin' Titanic with their own eyes (and you didn't neener-neener-neener!)
>significance because they made a movie about it.
You are a zoomer.
>boat that only has any significance because they made a movie about it
anon people were obsessed with the titanic looooooong before that shitty movie came out.
The movie completely renewed interest in it. I was ten when the movie came out, I remember this shit. I know there's always been movies and interest in it but the James Cameron film completely changed the modern perception of it.
>The movie completely renewed interest in it
I was ten when it came out, there were TV specials and magazine articles and books and shit talking about it all the time before the movie came out.
>boat that only has any significance because they made a movie about it
anon people were obsessed with the titanic looooooong before that shitty movie came out.
Watch as it's revealed that the CEO went along hoping to scam more money off the richies because they didn't have enough money to maintain the sub properly because the CEO stole it all.
Do richgays just have ZERO sense of self presevation? How do you look at this thing and willingly step inside?
Even in iron lung your character is forced in against his will as a criminal, because who the frick would willingly get in that??
Honestly, rich people get into this weird situation where they think every decision they make is correct. I don't know how else to describe it. Like these people think that because they made a few lucky breaks in business literally everything they decide to do is retroactively something they chose because they're so smart and gifted.
If the Titanic really exists then why don't they send 4 submarines with big chains to pull it up? Why don't people swim down to get all the free gold israeliteelry left behind?
whatever happened to that Titanic game that was being made where the map was 100% accurate, the ship sank in real time, and you had to solve some sort of mystery and find a way to survive?
ooh that's it? I played the VR demo for this one, all you can do in it is walk around it and it's empty. there was supposed to be a full on game I thought.
>serious safety concerns about hullil integrity and sustained damage from previous dives were raised already in 2018 by security manager David Lochridge >Lochridge was subsequently fired and all safety protocols abandoned for cost reasons
Okay but why did they start putting civilians inside?
No other company does that for a reason. Now these morons will go bankrupt cause the CEO is dead, and if they don't they will get sued to oblivion by angry multi millionaire families.
>serious safety concerns about hullil integrity and sustained damage from previous dives were raised already in 2018 by security manager David Lochridge >Lochridge was subsequently fired and all safety protocols abandoned for cost reasons
>When I started the business, one of the things you'll find, there are other sub operators out there but they typically have gentlemen who are ex-military submariners and they uh, you'll see a whole bunch of 50 year-old white guys. >I wanted our team to be younger, to be inspirational.
OH NO NO NO
>iron lung >your character is a condemned criminal locked into the submarine against his will to undertake a suicide mission for a flimsy promise that you'll be exonerated should you succeed
>real life >millionaires pay 250k to get a seat on this bolted shut submarine piloted by a cheap gaming controller to look at a dead wreck of yore
reality really is more unbelievable sometimes, huh
Jannies really hate this topic for some reason.
I don't get why they don't just give people 1 thread to get it out of their system. Cutting the threads early every time, or deleting them, just encourages people to make more.
it's nice that this company is already called oceangate. we don't need to add gate at the end of things when this inevitably becomes a conspiracy. oceangategate just sounds dumb.
>submarine homosexualry
Is this the new reddit topic of the day? I think they're based for sticking it up to glowie standards.
Everybody are obsessed because the victim is billionaire.
This, can the janny do is fricking job?!
Frick off pretend jannies (they do it for extra free).
There were only two submersibles capable of reaching those depths.

why does gabe have a deep sea submarine?
he actually owns an entire underwater research company. hence the deep sea submarine
What is he researching?
Better deals.
How to create a third Half Life
Preparing for a Water World scenario.
He's searching for new forms of water to turn into Steam.
underrated
he's a prepper
searching for new types of animals to eat
He really liked Sealab 2020, unfortunately he wasn't able to make one on time.

what the frick?
Must be one big sub sandwich
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
reminder that the computers they were using were running Debian
they were using a logitech controller from 2005 to control the sub, like holy shit dude.
I don't mind the controller choice that much, but why did they have to use these idiotic stick add-ons?
What's wrong with that, exactly?
I don't know about you but if I were a deep sea tour company. I would use something more advanced to control a sub that will go hundreds of meters deep into antarctic ocean
okay I just learned that, using these type of controllers is actually pretty syajdarded for unmanned control of vehicles,
Not cheap logitech wireless controllers. It's mostly wired Xbox 360 controllers.
Yeah, people use vidya controllers but they aren't
>Logitech
>Wireless (if possible)
>From 20 years ago
But for all we know that controller does everything you need to control that sub, and it might even be more reliable than modern ones in this instance.
Decades old equipment =/= bad.
Why not an Xbox pad ON USB and Xinput?
it runs of batteries and it's wireless by BT
They died because they eschewed the superior wired controller and ran out of batteries. rip
Using fricking Bluetooth for mission critical equipment.
Were they using it wireless?
it's the only way to use it
It doesn't even have a mini USB port? This thing is from like 2005.
Ive had that controller before, it was a piece of shit
>build entire submarine

context?
It's the stepson of one of the billionaires on board
>it might be distasteful
Understatement of the century
>>sub has no windows and only a camera
Wait, really?
yep, this is how the inside of the sub looks
Thats the back of the sub
>the thing prolly sprung a leak and they all drown
They'd implode before they even got a chance to take a breath of water in.
depends on depth, you will only implode at a certain depth
you would spring a leak and drown most of the time before they hit an implosion tier depth
>sub has no windows and only a camera
Isn't there one in the shitter?
homie, literally look at the pic in the OP.
Of course it has a window, you fricking idiots.
Should have used Linux
A window which the former OceanGate chief of safety was fired for pointing out is only certified for a maximum depth of 1000 feet.
They are completely dead.
but hasn't this sub explored the titanic before?
Just because you ran across the highway once like Frogger and made it back alive, doesn't mean it's safe to continue doing it.
If it has then it was pure luck it didn't break, and it probably did take invisible structural damage.
>and it probably did take invisible structural damage
It has to be this, since the loads it has to endure not a mystery. There is no luck in underwater structures.
Twice. Third time's the charm.
>tfw you literally die due to stick drift
i was gonna say input lag, it's bluetooth
shoulda spent the extra 30 on an xbox controller
So, even if they were to find it, what are they going to do?
Send a drone down to attach a rope.
One of them has their crypto wallet with the them so whoever reaches the corpses first is a billionaire.
>Millionaires go to the bottom of the sea
>Conveniently dispensary along the person who invited them in the first place
I hate modern reboots
Why'd they do it? Also, imagine the smell
Every further detail about this shitbox (shitcan?) makes me laugh harder than the last.
Someone must have been recording on the sub too, so when that sub is ever recovered, that footage is going to be something
well if any of it doesn't get destroyed from the saltwater
Or rapid decompression.
Imagine taking the most rank shit of your life while stuck in a metal tube thousands of feet under the sea for hours
>The only viewport is in the fricking shitter
>Take a fat ogre shit just minutes before reaching the Titanic
Every single detail about this whole thing is more ridiculous than the last jesus christ
Alternately, taking a fat ogre shit at -12,000 feet checking out the bow of the Titanic seems kino.
Imagine someone was shitting and looking out the window when it imploded.
The CEO was warned by numerous deep-sea exploration committees/individuals that there needed to be a lot more testing and safety precautions taken before actually sending people in the sub, but he just replied that it would take too much time and would thus get in the way of innovation.

i dont follow news but this has been posted the past couple days
what was the purpose of it? tourist thing?
it looks handmade, the thing prolly sprung a leak and they all drown
kinda want to play subnautica now(the second one, played the first to death already, 2nd been sitting on my shelf since release)
>2nd one
Oh no, Below Zero? More like Below Expectations. Get ready for disappointment.
>tourist thing?
yeah, but its for rich people. this was the third year, in 2021 you could go down for 150k, now its 250k. its not exactly tourism when you have a sign a massive document saying "you might not come back"
So how hard is this company getting sued into the ground by the rich peoples families?
I'm sure they all signed a waver that makes the company not liable for anything lmao
If you're going to the bottom of the ocean in a tiny privately owned submarine you kind of know the risks
won't get sued at all. all the passengers signed risk of death waivers.
Don't those things only hold in court if no iffy shit happens? Like the sub having minimal safety features like GPS or communications?
Depends. Like the family would have to go to court to challenge the waiver. But since the CEO is on board the Oceangate, the company likely sinks with him. There is no more assets to extract.
Who's going to sue them? The Ceo of their own company? lmao
The CEO was in the sub too lol
>maximum claustrophobia kino
They got the authentic titanic experience
CARLOS!
Here is your controller "bro"
2:05
control sticks like my ex's nipples what the frick
So assuming they are still alive do you think that they’re keeping it nice with each other so that when they believe they get rescued they’ll have a good tale to tell about their spirit and camaraderie? Or have they already killed the dumbfrick CEO for dooming them inside a metal coffin and are smearing their goodbye messages on the walls with his blood?
They're having a non-stop orgy until they run out of oxygen.
I doubt anybody killed anybody.
If (big if) they are still alive they are probably all just silently laying in their own corners not talking to conserve energy and air.
dont know when this sub went missing but it only has limited O2 so if they didnt drown they prolly ran out of O2 by now
I read that they have enough air to last another couple of days. I wonder how hull the shitter is.
4 days of air.
two more weeks
Makes me think of when modern people die at Auchwits on vacation. The death till of the Titanic just went up by 5.
Nobody give a shit about you homosexual ass sub, the new meme just dropped
Sub happened two days after no cap man bun, moron.

kidding me
what is the point of going down to see the titanic for yourself?
after a certain point you just do random shit when you're rich
sometimes it kills you, like this
Vanity, social media clout, a dozen other stupid rich people reasons.
You don't even see it for yourself, it's an image on a screen. You can get the same experience, sans dying, right now.
its the only type of shit that excites billionaires
Because the difference between seeing something in person and watching a youtube video of something is massive
meant for
damn bro you're totally right, you should sign up for the next sub trip.
frick that you couldn't pay me 250,000 dollars to get into that piece of shit
that being said going to the Grand Canyon and watching a video of the Grand Canyon are two completely different things and anyone who says differently is either poor or a shut-in neet
years ago i would have agreed you. but now there's 3d digital scans of the entire wreckage with resolution so good that you can discern the serial number on the prop
They're not seeing it in person. The sub has a camera outside and plays the feed on a screen inside. There's no windows.
stop spreading misinformation and look at the OP post, moron
Yeah you could say it's a difference of life and death.
>250K to die a horrible death
>to die a horrible death
Assuming they got crushed, it wasn't too bad. You're a fine paste before you can blink, no time for pain or suffering.
Shut the frick up, crab. Don't fricking come into this thread and mock the death of humans just because you and your ilk keep traipsing around pressurized pipes.
Shut the frick up if you know what's good for you, softshell.
My skeleton is fricking internal you moron.
It won't be once we're done with you.
what's the ideal price for a horrible death?
about tree fiddy
>$250k to look out a small porthole that's only next to the "bathroom" (literal piss jug and shit hole)
lmao
The worst part about this is these were actually like, good and philanthropic rich people working on renewable energy and shit.
The rich british guy is based and has a airplane company and saved cheetahs and shit and now he imploded
so now we have less good rich people that just wanted to see a frickin shipwreck and explore and shit because of this shitty oceangate shit
All rich people are literally evil
Death to all of them
That's why they were targeted for assassination.
i'm sorry even if they were saints working on curing cancer they're literally too stupid to live
no one sane should have ever gone on that thing, ever
If you're a vain moron that is willing to fork 200k for this shit im pretty sure you care more about the looks of your companies instead of what they're actually doing
I don't think this was the companies it was just these guys wanting to explore. The one dude has been to the marianna trench
Do you even know how much a billion dollars is, moron? The fact that you're making a judgement call based off of one purchase from them is telling about how much of a tard you are. I bet if I scrutinized your bank account I could find plenty of questionable purchases of $20 dollars which is basically the equivalent for them

They have 3 or 4 backups dumbass not just one
there is a window
That last review was left by the sub operator.
now IMAGINE if that $30 controller was the only way to operate a sub
surely they would have a replacement on board if it died, right?
I really want to scam a rich person out of money. I hear about shit like this and realize that there's a whole class of people who will shell out a life changing amount of money for the dumbest experiential bullshit and are completely undiscerning about the entire process. The key is to scam them and have the rich people be happy to be scammed, that's why cults are so successful.
I'm a lategay but do we even know if this thing hit the target depth before imploding?
it didn't, they lost contact midway through the dive
>got killed in shitty meme sub
>didn't even see the titanic like you planned
Surprised there isn't a company that has made water drones with good camera resolution. Seems it would be good for people who can't dive nor swin.
Also, can anyone recommend a good air drone?
"Yeah, I'd be perfectly happy to die in this".
this is like the modern equivalent to going over niagra falls in a wooden barrel, what a shoddy piece of shit lol
Wouldn't be out of place in a Battlestation thread
I'm curious how a human body would look under that much pressure
Raw hamburger with more bone shards and organ bits.
there is a window you fricking idiots
11 minutes
honestly I would do this if it was safe and affordable it looks cool as shit
Something tells me you have tattoos
>honestly I would do this if it wasn't this at all
Well it's not those two things and never will be.
It's 2000 years too early for underwater anything being safe.

big brain time
you do know saltwater amplifies signals right?
you do know how real subs work right?
you're one of the most moronic people I've seen on this website
your confusing deep sea with deep underground that actually blocks signals
but nice try
Any reason the GPS receiver can't be floated out in case of emergency? Yes it will drift but it would at leats narrow the search range. Or just have it with some rope to the sub.
Do you even understand how gps works? You don't communicate with the satellites. You just measure travel time.
the submersible's mother ship hasn't moved at all since it happened and that will already mark as a decent search area starting point. the problem is depth.
unless you're tethered the only thing we have is deep sea sonar which sends waves of info at like literally 1 kilabyte per second. it's not something this sub had and even thats never been used 2 miles down.
can use ping signals since sonar picks up stuff like that
they do make deep water gps and only rich people can afford it
>gps signal 2 miles underwater
doesn't work that way, which is why most of these things operate with tethers.
From what I’ve seen this thing was built and maintained by a workshop of 8 people who have since gone into hiding and closed up the premises.

Can you imagine saying this about a sub that is supposed to reach the Titanic, lol. Whole thing is just insane
gotta respect the hustle from the ceo going down there with them
They thought of all of those.
The guy who runs the joint (also one of the people now dead) said it wasn't worth the money and that safety is for suckers.
Last post before jannies shut the thread down.
>Toilet is simply hidden by a curtain
香りを思って
>bolt the submarine shut so they can't exit and swim back up to the surface
kek you can't make this shit up
>opening a submarine 3000 feet below the sea
Based moron
at least two billionaires on board, one was a paki and a wef member. I am so godamn happy im going to celebrate tomorrow
Both of the billionaires fund things to stop using oil and renewable energy you fricking idiot
and that's why they're dead now, you idiot sandwich
they're philanthropists and good people. they were not evil.
these aren't middle eastern oil tycoons anon these were philanthropists who made their money from sustainable renewable things and donated to poor communities
>I paid $300k to see the Titanic and all I got was Byford Dolphined.
why didn't they just attach a really long rope to the sub so if something happened they could have just pulled them up??
>imagine the length
>imagine the drag
>imagine the weight
>drag
>underwater
why do you think most fish are slender
>Imagine no final safety precaution
Every time some rich person goes into space I pray to god it fricking explodes.
I imagine the ziplock shitter is overflowing by now.
>Ganker has the twitter/reddit homosexuals posting "EAT THE RICH" bullshit
i sincerely thought you homosexuals wouldnt be here
>my life is bad because someone has more money than me!!!!
No.
I genuinely want these people to fricking die due to their endless pursuits trying to fill a hole in themselves with money.
Nobody gives a shit that you saw some stupid boat that only has any significance because they made a movie about it. If I was at a party and you told me you paid a quarter of a million dollars to do this I'd probably involuntarily snort with laughter.
edgy... but cool
No it doesn't come from a place of edginess, man. I sincerely think people who spend an extravagant amount of money just to say they've experience something that someone without money could not got what they deserved.
Like these people rolled the dice on this so they could make a fricking Instagram post.
250,000 grand
for your very own seat on this boat
no wonder the ceo went down with them, the CEO wouldnt of been able to pay them back when it failed....
the people were probably just "risktakers" like morons who visit antarctica
>Nobody gives a shit that you saw some stupid boat that only has any significance because they made a movie about it. If I was at a party and you told me you paid a quarter of a million dollars to do this I'd probably involuntarily snort with laughter.
you sound like an uneducated Black person people go to shipwrecks all the time that aren't from movies because it's cool and eerie
Yeah but these idiots didn't. They had to see the big one so they could brag that they saw the flippin' Titanic with their own eyes (and you didn't neener-neener-neener!)
The movie completely renewed interest in it. I was ten when the movie came out, I remember this shit. I know there's always been movies and interest in it but the James Cameron film completely changed the modern perception of it.
>The movie completely renewed interest in it
I was ten when it came out, there were TV specials and magazine articles and books and shit talking about it all the time before the movie came out.
>significance because they made a movie about it.
You are a zoomer.
Black person were you alive when the Titanic sank?
Yeah idiot I'm Molly Brown.
anon real boomers wouldn't be born for 50 years when the titanic sunk
>boat that only has any significance because they made a movie about it
anon people were obsessed with the titanic looooooong before that shitty movie came out.
The Titanic was easily the most impactful event in civilian maritime travel ever. It was in the pop culture zeitgeist before the movie was ever shot.
Shalom.
>cheapskating a deepdive for 300k when you’re a millionaire for some titanic cred/bullshit story
>the fricking CEO goes along
what the frick
Watch as it's revealed that the CEO went along hoping to scam more money off the richies because they didn't have enough money to maintain the sub properly because the CEO stole it all.
>AI art of disasters
I love the future
Saddam Hussein
Play stupid games
Win stupid prices
Do richgays just have ZERO sense of self presevation? How do you look at this thing and willingly step inside?
Even in iron lung your character is forced in against his will as a criminal, because who the frick would willingly get in that??
That's what's so weird. These guys had hundreds of millions and could have actually built something safe. Oceangate was not profitable anyway.
I'm rich so nothing bad can happen to me.
Only poor people die in accidents.
Honestly, rich people get into this weird situation where they think every decision they make is correct. I don't know how else to describe it. Like these people think that because they made a few lucky breaks in business literally everything they decide to do is retroactively something they chose because they're so smart and gifted.
I blame all the morons who worship them like gods.
Reminds me of Iwata being interviewed about the success of the DS and the Wii and he said he's being careful so Nintendo doesn't become arrogant.
111 years later
she claims a few more
No problem bros they just need to have that immortality gene.
Why is she in a washing machine?
her clothes smell
Better give them a good wash then
What are the odds that the titanic never existed, and these naive people were about to reveal that, so glowies took them out?
Almost a certainty.
If the Titanic really exists then why don't they send 4 submarines with big chains to pull it up? Why don't people swim down to get all the free gold israeliteelry left behind?
Meds.
They need to keep the titanic under there so they have radiation-free metal to harvest for surgical tools.
Fascinating and i will now subscribe to your newsletter.
whatever happened to that Titanic game that was being made where the map was 100% accurate, the ship sank in real time, and you had to solve some sort of mystery and find a way to survive?
Titanic: Honor and Glory? They have a demo out
ooh that's it? I played the VR demo for this one, all you can do in it is walk around it and it's empty. there was supposed to be a full on game I thought.
I think that's still the plan, they have ways to go though
Guess what you stupid fricking homosexuals
These expeditions gave us absolutely amazing footage of the Titanic and these rich people funded it
Get fricked
>AIslop
see
Okay but why did they start putting civilians inside?
No other company does that for a reason. Now these morons will go bankrupt cause the CEO is dead, and if they don't they will get sued to oblivion by angry multi millionaire families.
250,000 is a lot of money anon
anyone would do a lot for 250,000
Yeah like cut a bunch of safety costs.
not to a billionaire
>serious safety concerns about hullil integrity and sustained damage from previous dives were raised already in 2018 by security manager David Lochridge
>Lochridge was subsequently fired and all safety protocols abandoned for cost reasons
Oceangate has announced their new and improved submersible, along with their partnership with /misc/
>/w Dyatlov
oh frick
Should add some torpedoes to shoot whales
>When I started the business, one of the things you'll find, there are other sub operators out there but they typically have gentlemen who are ex-military submariners and they uh, you'll see a whole bunch of 50 year-old white guys.
>I wanted our team to be younger, to be inspirational.
OH NO NO NO
>I wanted our team to be younger, to be inspirational.
>too broke to pay for experienced people
kek
>"Did Jamal fix the missing bulkhead screws?"
>"Well I'll have to assume he did, questioning his work would be racist"
Death by diversity hires.
You're a special kind of moronic.
I'm not the one dead on the sea floor so I'm fine. Cry more tankie.
Infrastructure is collapsing all over America due to diversity hires. Why not a submarine too?
Because the CEOs quote doesn't mean diversity hires, it means people with little to no experience that he can pay on the cheap.
>people with little to no experience
Diversity hires.
>iron lung
>your character is a condemned criminal locked into the submarine against his will to undertake a suicide mission for a flimsy promise that you'll be exonerated should you succeed
>real life
>millionaires pay 250k to get a seat on this bolted shut submarine piloted by a cheap gaming controller to look at a dead wreck of yore
reality really is more unbelievable sometimes, huh
CEO was a homosexual who cut corners.
I feel bad now for everyone else who died, they're richgays but they didn't deserve this
>his name is rush
some jokes write themselves
the sub itself was unsafe and wasn't even classified
autosaged. together we sink to page 10, brothers
I was told that I would be journeying to the front page on a dubiously video game related thread...
Jannies really hate this topic for some reason.
I don't get why they don't just give people 1 thread to get it out of their system. Cutting the threads early every time, or deleting them, just encourages people to make more.
Gentlemen, it has been a privilege shitposting with you here tonight.
The only person I feel bad for is the Captain. Imagine dying at 77 because the dumbfrick owner built a sub out of coke cans and a madkatz controller.
it's nice that this company is already called oceangate. we don't need to add gate at the end of things when this inevitably becomes a conspiracy. oceangategate just sounds dumb.
I'M GOING TO TAKE A MONSTER SHIT IN THE SUB BATHROOM
SMELL YOU LATER
ANON NO THE BALLAST OF YOUR SHIT WILL SINK US
Damn, Markiplier is jumping through some insane hoops to stealth market his Iron Lung movie. It better turn out good after he killed 5 people for it.
:donotstopmusic:
In this clown reality we live on it's likely that in 100 years some moronic richgays will be visiting both these Black folk and the titanic's wreckage
