So I guess that's it for CS:GO, cause Valve won't do shit about it. They are way too focused on CS2. The TF2 bot problem is still not fixed so yeah gg homosexuals, I will just play Valorant
If that. My ISP's a bunch of incompetents, and the IP's still reverse'ing as a company that sold out to another company two owners back, from a network hub 30 miles away from where I live.
The internet's a fricking mess.
English is not his native language but this guy knows his shit. He's one of the best dataminer when it comes to CS and if he recommends to not play matchmaking you should probably believe him
LMAO, all these years and people still don't understand that you basically can't do anything with IP's anymore
Like, yeah, back in 2006 if someone had your IP they could spamfrick you with command prompt and a batch script to ping you with huge packets, but worst that would do is make your internet go down for a little bit
nowadays basically every modern ISP has DOS and even DDOS protection, even for household IP's. On top of that, IP's can only be used to identify where your local ISP is located, you can't really use it to find someone's house unless you have a satellite in space and you can directly ping someone's IP from two locations to triangulate a 2-3km area where your house might be
Yes, work at a small isp and when one of our customers was getting ddos'd our whole network was temporarily affected, but that shit is so easy to counter that we were back to normal in like 4 minutes. Script kiddies can't do shit with your public IP anymore.
If you have dynamic IP you just nuke cookies and reset router and voila you ban evaded. I even got "range banned" many times but then it took couple of resets lmao but it always worked. I dont get banned often its always for some corny ass shit like replying to roll posts so whatever.
I got permabanned recently because I was responding to a shill so they said I was spamming

My best ban for 30 days is that I reported Black person cuck porn spam thread here so some mod unironically banned me for 30 days just for reporting it while thread itself hit bump limit. This made me realize something lol...
Specific IP bans basically work by shooting the target and hopeing it can't get back up. They can also ban an entire range of IPs though(ex: everyone on your particular internet provider), and that would frick you if you have a smaller ISP without multiple ranges.
There really isn't a way to identify your specific router. There's a way to ID the MAC code your router is broadcasting. but most if not all routers have MAC spoof option that lets you change that at will with useful consequences.
I remember reading somewhere that even MAC addresses aren't totally unique. So wouldn't they ban multiple devices somewhat randomly from accessing? I guess it would be be better than just ban your ISP flat out.
>so if you just delete your cookies, you can just ban evade?
No you can't. This is what morons what you to believe but that's not how it works
Random sites on the internet can't get a router's mac code. Your ISP uses it to "sticky" the IP you're leasing though. That's why sometimes resetting the router doesn't get you a new IP - your ISP is still seeing your MAC and going "well yeah, that one's leasing this addy, so here, quit fricking losing it."
IP Bans rarely ever work, that's why modern websites instead opt to profile your connection and your browser. Google in particular uses its ad service to make ad profiles and detect when you change your IP to keep track of you - but even a method that advanced can be defeated by just deleting cookies or using a privacy browser
>muh IP
Do normalgays really.
post your IP if you're so tough

NO
FRICKVALORANT
No frick you, it's a good game.
NOOOOOOOOOOO NOT MY IP ADDRESS! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH SAVE ME Black personMAN!
Every site you ever enter has your IP
IP is meaningless
it can be used to ddos you during the match goofball
This already happens in tons of games. I remember a post about dead by daylight streamers getting ddos attacks constantly a couple months ago.
If it can then you need a new service provider that has proper ddos detection and negation
>ip
oh no
>has no clue the amount of data that can be obtained via an IP
Enlighten me, dear l33t haxx0r.
yeah but dynamic IP addresses makes a lot less of an issue though
let's see, i can find out your general area and internet provider and......?
If that. My ISP's a bunch of incompetents, and the IP's still reverse'ing as a company that sold out to another company two owners back, from a network hub 30 miles away from where I live.
The internet's a fricking mess.
People in competitive games aren't worried about data theft with an IP, it's because people DDoS users if they get their IP known.
>NAT
oh no it's over for me
Why does, he write, like this?
English is not his native language but this guy knows his shit. He's one of the best dataminer when it comes to CS and if he recommends to not play matchmaking you should probably believe him
>They are frickin stealing my WIFI address!?
>That's why I'm not getting any kills because I am getting DDOS'd!
>israelites lying about security flaws to get people to play a terrible new version of a game nobody likes
no israelite I just won't play it
Why does this type of autistic shit only happen with Valve games? First TF2, now this.
valve are lazy incompetent morons but they get away with every single thing they do besides paid mods
although counter strike NFTs are paid mods
if someone knows my ip my life is over
IP in your mouth
basneed
CSGO is majority third worlders who are behind CGNAT anyway.
>tfw hacker Ganker knows my IP
My IP is not static, homosexual vatBlack folk

Then explain how streamers get ddos'd, smartass
hint: it's the first D in DDOS u tard
so you are saying everyone in that local area get DDOS'd?
Yes, work at a small isp and when one of our customers was getting ddos'd our whole network was temporarily affected, but that shit is so easy to counter that we were back to normal in like 4 minutes. Script kiddies can't do shit with your public IP anymore.
but then how can bans over a website like Ganker even work if there aren't actually a way to identify your specific router?
IP and cookies
so if you just delete your cookies, you can just ban evade? Lol I thought you needed a VPN at least to do so
>so if you just delete your cookies, you can just ban evade?
No you can't. This is what morons what you to believe but that's not how it works

TF2 chads win again.
>b-but what if it affects TF2 competitive
Nobody plays competitive.
wow, what, a, gay, post
