Yes. In GTA V they seemed to tune them down a bit though. GTA IV is still the worst offender.
I feel like Base 4's soundtrack is a bit lacking, but when you combine it with the two dlc's, it's really good.

I didn't much care for the radios in GTA IV, but the original in-house music is fantastic.
GTA V also had some bangers from Tangerine Dream. Shame this was some of their last work before Edgar Froese died.

I always liked 2 and III's because the drum n bass selection was awesome. Shout out to the GTA2 film as well, had some bangers.
GTA4 had some really atmospheric stations, especially The Journey and Fusion FM. There was something really compelling about driving around Liberty City with songs like this playing:

There's quite a few original songs for the game and it's DLC's and surprisingly almost all of them are good
God I loved the disco station with the DLC
