I remember riding my bike to the post office to mail in my 10 dollars or whatever it was for guardian membership. My hands were shaking from excitement when I dropped off the envelope. Grabbed a Sobe elixir in the glass bottle on the way back, the world was cool.
I believe AQ and DF are still getting a few updates here and there, MQ is solely on life support, no more updates, but that only just happened this last year I think. But AE has had quite a few failed games since then. I think there was hero quest, shitty 2d chibi style game, it was garbage. There's Epic Duel which i believe is like a pvp focused scifi AQ. Garbage. Then there was Oversoul which had some kind of card mechanic, I believe the head dev in charge of it quit so it just stopped getting updated. Still technically playable.
They made a shitty 3d mobile mmo which probably has more players than aqw due to well, being a mobile game. Aqw is still alive and kicking. They are actively working on porting the whole thing over to unity and onto steam and they've released a couple of beta tests for players to try out so its not just hot air they're blowing.
i used to love checking in on the mmo and walking around with founder gear, people would follow me to look, it was funny but i can't recall my login info and don't want to anyway.
i lost my beta account, kinda curious to see if they actually port everything over whenever they actually get around to finishing their unity port of aqw
main characters from the most KINO Adventure Quest World saga
What the frick? They brought the Darkon Saga to DF? It is kino as hell so I understand why but I always thought the content was only ever rolled forward.
Also La best girl.
>Jesus what a shitshow of a fight
It's really fricking hard. Get darkon to half hp so he switches to his 2nd phase and then burst suki ASAP, should be easy then.
How is Artix entertainment still in business? They completely missed the boat for mobile gaming, not to mentioned they were stuck with Flash for way too long. What is the target audience for their games these days? Kids have so much more fleshed-out F2P slop on mobile to choose from these days.
98% of their money comes from nostalgic players who keep buying shit for some reason, and the rest from whatever poor fool plays Aw3d. Artix is also pretty rich
They rake in tons of cash from their mmo which is basically a glorfied dress up game by now and through their merch stores and shady kickstarters such as this: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/artix/adventurequesttm-moglin-plushies
Best thread on Ganker RN.
Tfw never got to become a guardian
You can do it now that you're an adult!
I've lost my Yahoo account anyways. I'm not getting my old janky f2p account again.
If you have some info about your old account you can email them to recover it for you, I did it too.
pet rock bros keep it real
I'm still playing Dragonfable. It's kino.
Why did it seem like everyone was making Flash Games back then? Was it easier or something?
flash was accessible cause adobe stuff used to be easy to pirate, it's also babies first animation software

How are their games today? Still alive?

Mech Quest has been on life support for a few years now unfortunately. I enjoy the setting way more than DF or AQ.
They're taking a hideously long time to make AQW's mobile port (aka known as AQ2D) for whatever reason
lovely breasts
The new armors are so much better mechanically.
more please
I miss him so much bro

DragonFable > Adventure Quest
The Inn is the best thing they've ever made in any of their games.

Hornoad is better

WoW/RuneScape at home
Are people still playing this? I thought it be dead by now, no way people are playing it for more than 10 years
Nostalgia is one hell of a drug.
No more frogzards on v.
