I don't think crystal forms are a thing. I think mons will just get a glowy crystal aura with the type icon above them. Though the fact they're still keeping regional forms and cross-gen evos on top of two new concepts is a bit odd.
The egg on the head is likely the middle. And Fuecoco3 is still going to be a Ghost type. So there'll be something interesting going on with that interaction of the chicken/whatever and why it's a Ghost. I'll wait until I see it (and the others) before I write anyone off.

You clearly weren't paying attention or are that much of a sucker if you just straight up deny that this wasn't part of the conversation for months. And it could easily include the rooster/egg into its design while still using this as an inspiration. They already straight up mentioned to us that the hair is important, there's no reason it couldn't become a rooster comb or a nest of some kind and then integrate that weird Boogeyman aesthetic into its design as well. That would totally explain the ghost typing that we are assuming it's going to have to. I don't know what the frick else would. Some sort of special rooster that it symbiotically lives with makes very little sense, even in the Pokemon world. A starter of all things evolving into a Pokemon consisting of multiple creatures seems pretty wild, but I'm all for it. Starters have been boring me since Gen 5. Even if Fuecoco3 ends up looking ugly as sin, I'll at least appreciate the effort to shake things up.
I can see it looking something like this, where the fake hair expands around a stone "stovetop" that the egg rests in. You can see how something like this would look like a bowler hat at first glance.
If you're curious, the eyes are taken from one of Khu's polls. Could be a case where one answer is for the middle form.
It would be cool if the egg would glow or radiate when the "oven" is on. Perhaps Fuecoco2 uses this technique to channel the egg's secret power, which is fully realized once it hatches for the final form.

Something like that would be neat. The croc is dead of sorts but it has a symbiotic bird-like entity it dispatches to go retrieve sustenance to bring back for it. And help it do battle.

For what it's worth, the Egyptian crocodile God symbolized death at various points in history. I was really hoping the Ghost type would come from the Coco fuera angle and it still very well could, but leave it to GF to do something really weird and nonsensical.

Yea.... game freak will neither of those fricking things because those would actually be cool and makes sense. You got me there on the people googling stuff, but what the frick are you both talking about? You can easily search the stuff in the archive. People brought it up in almost every thread about this Pokemon before we started getting these leaks. There was a decent percent of people who thought that that might be the inspiration. So don't pretend that wasn't part of the conversation at some point or may not be part of the design process for this Pokemon, because the first is confirmed and the second is very likely
You clearly weren't paying attention or are that much of a sucker if you just straight up deny that this wasn't part of the conversation for months. And it could easily include the rooster/egg into its design while still using this as an inspiration. They already straight up mentioned to us that the hair is important, there's no reason it couldn't become a rooster comb or a nest of some kind and then integrate that weird Boogeyman aesthetic into its design as well. That would totally explain the ghost typing that we are assuming it's going to have to. I don't know what the frick else would. Some sort of special rooster that it symbiotically lives with makes very little sense, even in the Pokemon world. It being a weird misunderstood goofy Boogeyman thing with wacky chicken like hair makes way more sense

A starter of all things evolving into a Pokemon consisting of multiple creatures seems pretty wild, but I'm all for it. Starters have been boring me since Gen 5. Even if Fuecoco3 ends up looking ugly as sin, I'll at least appreciate the effort to shake things up.
The more random it seems the more exciting it is. I was down for a huge crocodile but this seems cool too

I can see it looking something like this, where the fake hair expands around a stone "stovetop" that the egg rests in. You can see how something like this would look like a bowler hat at first glance.
If you're curious, the eyes are taken from one of Khu's polls. Could be a case where one answer is for the middle form.
Fuecoco can turn off its flame too, so I bet the egg can also.
It would be cool if the egg would glow or radiate when the "oven" is on. Perhaps Fuecoco2 uses this technique to channel the egg's secret power, which is fully realized once it hatches for the final form.
I'm really interested to see the final form now. Keep imagining the Croc lying idle until the bird flies in its mouth before it clamps down, using the flames for its attacks (then the fire bird reforms on its head).

GF doesn't plan to end the series at Gen 12. A single zodiac animal can repeat. It might even give them an opportunity to give us a more accurate dragon, rat, and dog, as well as space out all the hooved livestock.
