I had more fun with Destiny Child than Nikke in the long run. Yeah the gameplay was extremely basic but the fun of figure on team comps and easier dailies was better. Nikke is a fricking grind.

Yes. End game content is the best because it can be extremely well balance for a specific range of power levels and difficulty. Anything thats hard early can be out leveled so skill and team comp doesn't really matter. In the end game the devs are free to make the game mechanically challenging to the perfect level because theres not a way to cheese through it with level grinding. It's also important for gacha games and even more so nikki because it allows you to bring your weaker members up to snuff since you get to that point by dumping everything into a select few. It's the stage of mechanical skill, team building, and experimentation.

I'll give it to you straight since I played both Genshin and Star Rail out of sheer curiosity after so many people who barely play video games were somehow willing to sink their valuable time (and sometimes even their first microtransactions) into them. It's exactly how it looks to you. It's just barebones gameplay lifted from real games, with anime tropes and designs mashed together on an assembly line, all under a polished sheen. Don't bother playing them because it'll just make you even more depressed, the explanation is simply good marketing and newbies both young and old who have no idea how much shit is just a pale imitation of something else. But you should be able to understand that even when people know better, they latch onto these games because they're a slick package of those story and design elements under an EXTREMELY relevant umbrella. The whole reason people give a shit about chasing powerful new characters to help make the anemic gameplay and endgame slog slightly less miserable is because other people give a shit, and this is what pushes morons at large to overstep their bounds and spend. And as for a more meta reason, many here keep up with these games because they are prime shitpost material, as you can see from this thread that clearly isn't just some /vg/ vagrants catfighting over which of their sugar daddies is the least abusive.

Yes. End game content is the best because it can be extremely well balance for a specific range of power levels and difficulty. Anything thats hard early can be out leveled so skill and team comp doesn't really matter. In the end game the devs are free to make the game mechanically challenging to the perfect level because theres not a way to cheese through it with level grinding. It's also important for gacha games and even more so nikki because it allows you to bring your weaker members up to snuff since you get to that point by dumping everything into a select few. It's the stage of mechanical skill, team building, and experimentation.
