Yeah I liked the first one but I'll be skipping this.
however
>mentally ill footgay will consoom the goyslop
disappointed but not surprised.
how can you type this out and accuse others of being mentally ill
the first game had gay romance paths, so will this
imagine
What a moronic reason
Sex with Dora.
Well, if you insist…

Hmm yes i concur
I think you drank a bit too much olive semen anon
>Chronos isnt even a titan
I dont geddit
This game is unironic goyslop
Most soulless combat system i've ever seen
>greek myth game
>everyone is black
Every time i see the thumbnail I think she has fricking Rayman hands
I just don't care about Supergiant anymore. Hades is just too far-gone from the days of Bastion for me.
you weak-chinned gays only hate Hades because it's popular now. It's a good roguelite. It has a pleasant art style. It goes out of its way to try and make every run interesting with different powerup opportunities. And it's an independent project and thus divorced from all of the lame AAA shit you morons claim to hate. I don't see the problem.
>It's a good roguelite. It has a pleasant art style. It goes out of its way to try and make every run interesting with different powerup opportunities
It's a garbage roguelite, in terms of difficulty it is completely trivial, even at higher levels of heat, the bosses are minor variations of the same thing every time, Half the upgrades are making a number bigger. It's boring, basically every run with a given weapon feels the same.
I liked the first game and will get this one as well, but it is a fairly flawed roguelite imo.
The visuals are a mess and they really needed to tone up the clarity. The weapons are also massively disproportionate with some being clearly better than others. Boons also felt very samey with most just being the same thing with a different color, but one being vastly superior to others (athena dash)
Requiring deaths to get the story of the normal characters also was awkward since if you played well you were completing the main quest before the side characters were even halfway done with their side stories and it led to some weird rubberbanding dialogue.
>Beat the game on my tenth run
>Get complimented for making it to Asphodel
???? It's like Supergiant thinks everyone is garbage at games and will beat the game for the first time on their 50th run or something.
Happened to me too, so much weird out-of-place dialogue was really a mood killer for a supergiant game, who are usually amazing about this kind of stuff.
>make every run interesting
Not even remotely, at least not in my opinion. I don't dislike Hades but it got old pretty quick. Meg and the sisters were fun but the hydra was boring and Theseus and the Bull were just annoying on every single subsequent run. Also, the storytelling method they used was pretty awkward.
I don't "hate" it, i hate that they are doing a sequel instead of trying something new
At the very least they could split the team and announce two projects or something, i don't want to play in a rethread.
It's good, though overrated, it's certainly better than other games that get more attention like hollow knight.
I'm looking forward to the sequel.
>Zagreus and Dionysus are two separate characters who pretended to be the same to frick with Orpheus
>Persephone left Olympus willingly and lied about being kidnapped
>every weapon’s final aspect
Hades has always been loose with its depiction of Greek mythology, which never had an organized canon to begin with. And confusing Cronus with Chronos is literally ancient.
>Zagreus and Dionysus are two separate characters who pretended to be the same to frick with Orpheus
funny that this is the actual greek myth either zag turns to dio or zag is the first mortal.
>Persephone left Olympus willingly and lied about being kidnapped.
this kinda sticks loosely to the greek myth
>every weapon’s final aspect
you know whats more absurd the rail being an assault rifle
There isn't any one canon version of greek mythology, that shit changed depending on the time and place it was told.
I do wonder if the game's supposed to take place shortly after the first one or centuries later
A pretty sizable amount of time. In the first game Persephone calls Zagreus her only child, which now seems to have changed
Yeah, Persephone's only child.
They are immortal gods in the realm of the dead, it's not unreasonable that they could have more children without them or anyone around them physically aging much if at all
Chronos isn't a god. The whole Cronus Chronos thing is also as old as the Greeks and was an intentional thing.
are you fricking moronic ??
>yes I will just call OP moron and wait for him to take my bait heehee
grim
They call him Chronos, dipshit
it doesn't matter since that spelling is variable
i think hades(1) has extremely good build variety. the boons are great, people complaining about them being '' just + damage '' are stupid : its not the game's fault you dont go beyond level 1 boons, dont go for duo boons or legendary boons, etc.
the big issue with hades is the absolute lack of level variety, which also helps create a lack of enemy variety.
post scriptum
>level 1 boons
meant to say primary boons
you're right, there's a lot of build variety especially taking into account the daedalus upgrades and weapon aspects. they did a good job on this front. what they fricked up on most was boss variety imo. fighting the bone hydra and theseus for the 100th time is bad. they should have had alternate monsters/heroes to fight like you have alternate furies.
the boss variety issue is partly a result of no region variety
though they could have just added different bosses to tartarus, asphodel and elysium anyway
There's no reason to ever go for any boon that's not just straight damage or things that help you like the deflect dash. Almost all the duo boons suck and don't actually help you much with the execption of the Demeter/Dio and Zeus/Posideon ones.
More often than not I just beat the game with a basic b***h boon load out.
>theres no reason to ever go for any boon that is not straight damage
false
many potent boons that amplify your damage output by a ton are a lot more than generic damage boosts. Not to mention builds that can grant mass survivability bonuses
>almost all the duo boons suck
thats just you having a shit opinion
>i just beat the game with the basic b***h boon loadout
thats perfectly fine, its a boring choice of yours that probably means you're less effective than more knowledgeable players but you can play however the frick you want. i just think its stupid to shit on the game for having poor build variety because you did the personal intentional choice of only going for the primary boons
duo boons are mostly good, you're on crack
anon thats literally exactly what i said
duo boons are great
meant to reply to the guy you replied to
I really just wish there were more alternative bosses. It's kind of cool that they change a bit over time but man it's such a waste for a game you're supposed to replay a bunch. There should've been at least one alternative for every level besides Hades himself.
I said. Sex. With. Dora.
Why is Athena a negress?
Chronos is the Anglicized spelling of Kronos, which itself is the Latinized spelling of ΚΡΟΝΟΣ
they're the exact same name just spelling differently, like English Jennifer and French Genevieve, both of which originate from Welsh Gwynhwyfar
I missed the threads for this game. Post your best fanart/memes
OP is moronic
They've always been the same.
>google search
>Wikipedia page mentions Hades 2.
that's so evil and unhelpful.
>Cronus (God of Harvest) and Chronos (the actual God of Time)
what about Cronut (God of Pastry)?
>never played Hades 1
>not a big roguelike fan
>see Hades 2 trailer
>see those hot feet
>immediately interested
I've been here too long
>Cronus (God of Harvest) and Chronos (the actual God of Time) are completely separate deities
They aren't real, bro.
I'm so sick of this fricking board. Why does it feel like every time a game gets announced that actually has a chance in hell of being any decent you frickers want it to fail. All we do is complain about how the golden age of games has passed and that everything that comes out is soulless goyslop. Then, finally when something that isn't just triple A, ubishit tier garbage is on the horizon you all cry bloody murder.
>black greek gods are....LE GOOD
they're more dark grey or bronze. it's unnatural and fits imo. but then again I'm not a banshee snowflake belting out white replacement conspiracy foolishness so maybe I'm not in the right mindset to understand you fricks in the first place.
It's it's own take based off of Greek mythology
Zagreus and dionysus are the same person in actual lore, but they are 2 separate characters in this game's lore
They even poke fun of that in the game
>Ugly woman with small breasts and wide shoulders
Yeah unlike "her" I'm gonna have to pass.
Okay
However:
You are mentally ill beyond repair, take off your troony-tinted glasses
I love the artstyle, where Aphrodite looks like a troony and the other characters like gay tumblr twinks.
pagancucks
1: “Historically accurate” Greek myth is dumb and the real myths were always somewhat up to interpretation, as has been repeated.
2: Even if it’s not accurate, Chronos is a nothing character, he’s the god of time, and that’s it. No stories, no personality. Cronus has an abusive relationship to his sons, and cut his dads balls off. In a game where the main theme is familial relations and conflict, no other titan would fit. Every other Greek story has him as the big bad, back from the dead as generic dark lord man. But with the theme set like this, this is probably the best way to use the character.
No one gave a shit about Chronos, so just give Cronus the powers. The loss of this irrelevant character from the lore is worth it to give Cronus the powers that can make him the villain of a story where he fits perfectly. Plus supergiant likes making nods to the original myth anyways, so they’ll probably reference it anyway.
>if i say things that arent true, people will be compelled to correct me. its the perfect plan for (you)s!
