>game designed for a console with 16GB of VRAM and direct streaming of assets from storage can’t run on GPUs with only 8GB
>Ganker loses it’s shit over this for some reason
Why are people here so moronic? The game isn’t poorly optimized, most PCs just can’t match PS5 in those metrics. No amount of “optimization” is going to fix that.

lmao same weak shitty argument when CP77 came out.

        >HUUUUUUUUR UPGRADE

Dishonest piece of shit, there's a Recommended Specs and a Minimal Specs in the Steam page, There you tell the consumer what hardware is necessary for the product to work. The port is deficient under its own definition of Minimum Requirements.

The minimum specs list 720p30 for a 4770k and a gtx 970 on the lowest settings. Pretty sure it can hit that easily. It’s the people who are expecting PS5 quality settings on their RTX 3070s that are b***hing the most. Like no shit your 8GB card isn’t going to cut it compared to a 16GB console.

Yeah, more than half of the consumers are to blame for a bad optimized product. Fricking idiot.

I have the right to a functional game. But this is not functional and it is not a game.

    >Asks for 100 gb instead of the 50 it occupies on consoles
    >Asks for 32 gb of RAM for decent graphics when the console has only 16
    >Asks for any kind of VRAM when the console utilizes the RAM as VRAM
    >Asks for a graphic cards for Ultra that literally DIDN'T EXIST four months ago

Yeah, sure, it's the PC users fault, nice bait

On PC assets have to be loading into system RAM first before being passed on to the GPU, unlike consoles. That’s why it requires a large amount of main memory on top of the video memory requirements. It’s just another inherent limitation PCs.

The game is 80gb on PS5.

      >console utilizes the RAM as VRAM
      PS5 has 16gb of GDDR6
      >PC has a massive performance overhead
Blame windows and DX not consoles

Performance could be better but on my 12GB 3080 Ti I at least haven't dipped below 60. No hitching or stuttering either since I'm not an impatient homosexual and actually let shaders finish compiling. Feels like I'm part of an elite exclusive club that can run this game without much issue and I laugh at the plebians who can't.

Based anon and his $900 GPU bragging about running a game at 60 FPS.
I sure hope that's at 4k and not some pleb resolution like 1080p.

    A modern game huh?
You mean a game that takes a tenth of your storage?
That shimmers like mad without TAA?
Has more vertices in a linear hallway than an entire level did 20 years ago?
    And it doesn't even work?
Miss me with that mess, anons.

I dunno, RE Engine games never used to outright crash when paging vram. Both this and RE4 Remake fricked up there.

Can someone redpill me on this technological dark age in 2023 where zero big budget studios know how to make games run on the machine they made the game with?
My perspective is having been playing Alien: Isolation for the last couple days. I don't even know what shader compilation means because it hasn't come up for me.
And some say these aren't optimization problems but it's Iron Galaxy and Arkham Knight came out in a time where good PC ports were on the rise, so yeah I'd bet there are optimization issues from a proven incompetent developer.
