>fixing the raindeer AI was a good move.
Was it? I never had a problem with raindeer before the update, and now they're completely non-functional
They just used to be a bit spazzy, now they randomly stop moving, switch direction, fall over. I had one drop out of the sky on me once
The game has a lot of flaws due to it unfair design imitating nature
I dropped the game after doing my hunter runs
It was just too annoying to struggle against a wall of rng
The challenges were fun af,showing all the interactions with the mobs
But exploring the same Map with few change like 8 Times is a pain in the ass
You could make a similar criticism about undertale’s fanbase but those annoying fans didn’t seem to sway anyone’s opinion of the game. Rain world is one of the best games I’ve ever played. I don’t care if trannies and furries like it. They should like it, because it’s good.
i got super hyped for this from downpour and the breads, then found out the dlcs weren't on consoles so can't play it comfily except at home and kind of forgot it exists.
I, obviously, want to coop it with a friend, that would be fun
Downpour just came out on console like three weeks ago

Really? I actually haven’t tried toggling it yet, but the old raindeer can definitely be pretty jank. They sometimes just flop around like morons and can totally screw over a whole cycle.
Downpour is terrible, it is in fact a paid mod made by fans.
Just because it’s a paid mod doesn’t mean it’s terrible. They added six new campaigns. That’s quite a bit of content. What does downpour even cost, like 10 bucks? Easily worth it.
NTA, but the situation behind the scenes with Downpour is downright disgusting
Akupara games pretty much threatened the mod team with selling out the mod, or risk getting it shut down
Then, they slapped a pricetag on it and raised the price of the base game for shits and giggles
Messing with the lore was certainly questionable but you can easily just choose not to see it as being canon. Technically, the Madoka Magica movie is canon but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let that trainwreck ruin the show for me.
>decided against buying DLC because it's a free mod turned premium >see Saint and a few mobs that look cool like Hunter Long Legs >man that does look pretty cool, kinda wanna pla- wait a minute, no no frick this it's premium
That's been me every couple of months on repeat every time I remember Rain World.
i got filtered by the water level some of those paths you cant afford to get stuck on wall for a microsecond as it went from fun exploration to fighting the clunky controls
The controls are fine. You have more breathing room than you think in the underwater sections, you just have to know how to shave off as much time as possible. Don’t use the boost until you’re almost out of breath and stay close to the bottom so you can cover more distance when floating up after running out of air. You can also slightly increase your speed by wiggling up and down but you have to be careful with that in super narrow spots. All of the sections that don’t strictly require bubbleweed can be done without wiggling.
I actually forced myself once to play until I got to what I thought was the end but when I got to the place all the way on the right I met an alien that spoke gibberish and I didn't know what to do next and I wasn't really having fun anyway so I stopped playing
>I wasn't really having fun anyway
That’s surprising. I thought the game was kind of boring at first but after I got stuck at the bottom of garbage wastes something just clicked for me and I realized it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played. Anyways, you only made it through about a quarter of the game. The exterior is the best part IMO (which you weren’t that far away from)
I am older than dirt bro. I’m talking about the controls. Another World is a cinematic platformer and the only controls you have in that game are move, jump and interact. In rain world you have to use button combos to execute slides and pounces and shit. This is why the game feels “clunky” to people who don’t know what they’re doing because they spaz out when they’re in danger and end up yeeting themselves off a cliff by accident.
Trash game that gets praise only because the devs are trans or something.
No one actually likes this game. It's so simplistic and boring, and has terrible issues with the way the game is made with how entering a new area loads you into a room with existing enemies who can spawn right on top of you and you can't see them from the other area because no area exists if you aren't loading into it.
The game doesn't have any fun mechanics. The only things that are somewhat cool is the animations and how monsters in the wild will in-fight and follow patterns instead of just being enemies attacking you constantly.
Karma gating is fricking stupid especially when bullshit like lack of scrolling (especially vertical) and a shitty map system can frick you up completely.
The game would be much better without it defaulted on.
Filtered. You do realize karma gates don’t matter at all when you’re actually good at the game? b***hing about karma gates is just making it obvious to everyone here that you’re a scrub
>Good at the game >Specifically list instances that rely on pure luck
Listen sweatie, were discussing good game design here. Please filter yourself from the conversation
You only need max karma for the 5p gate and you can even skip that by going up the wall. All of the rest of the gates should be easy to get through unless you’re just garbage at the game.
You don’t need echoes unless you’re playing as hunter and two of the echoes don’t require max karma. You also don’t technically need max karma as you can see in pic related
>Good at the game >Specifically list instances that rely on pure luck

What did I mention that involves any amount of luck?
>scrubs filtered the devs so bad that they added a bunch of babymode options to turn off anything that might kill you
Many such cases. At least it’s all optional, and fixing the raindeer AI was a good move.
>fixing the raindeer AI was a good move.

more like the game is shit but the dev allowed you to cheat so that the didn't had to fix a garbage gane that doesn't work out of the box.
The game has a lot of flaws due to it unfair design imitating nature

and yet Videocult chose Akupara as the publisher for their new game as well.
is it legal to keep a slugcat in your home like a pet
>developer ends up ruining their masterpiece with a shitty update and expansion that retroactively shits on the og vision for the game
How did it shit on the og version? AFAIK, all they changed in the original campaigns was make subterranean’s map a little different.
they added "le good ending", which completely shits on the message of the original ending.
what good ending survivors family moved on and he is now alone

literally unplayable without a joystick
there is like one tech that requires analog, in the movement guide.
homie, it's hard to do blackflipping bullshit every 3 seconds with a keyboard
so plug in a ps4 controller like I did or learn how to backflap with a keybrad ??
I did.
I still mad I bought a joystick just for this game and now it's just collecting dust

can't you just pirate it?
Maybe? At this point I'm too stubborn to really bother looking for the DLC even on pirating websites.
can't relate, I pirate game by default
Yeah I can tell by virtue of the fact that you can't help but brag about it.

I just hate it because he devs are trannies who Xeeted on social media that they made the Rainbow DLC to celebrate the LGBT.
I bought it two times and refunded it two times. I can't get over how bad the controls are.
They’re not bad at all. You just have to realize it plays more like a fighting game than a platformer.
>Plays like a fighting game
Jesus Christ have you zoom/xooms never heard of a cinematic platformer? Fricking dire era we live in

I don't get it, it wasn't that hard
It wasn't like super revelational either like how most people pretend that it is, it was just ok
