if they can get to home, theres no chance of them targeting you after the fact. ive always hacked in 6iv/nature/abilities and transferred them from bank to home for breeding.
your "false positive" argument is the same as the blatantly obvious cheaters use in comp.
"what do you mean I can use my shiny 6 iv kyogre with the ability multitype....TPCi is handing out false positives!!!!"
yea for people who hacked them into home and were trading them on the mobile app...if youre transferring them from bank, if you make it past the checks, youre fine.
What kind of moron would inject directly into Home?

They got DQ'ed and kicked out of Worlds. Then they took to twitter to cry about getting kicked out for cheating, after spending all the money they did to get to go to Japan to play pogeymans.
Which shows the mentality of you entitled manchild fricks, they just have a different flavour of autism than dextards - "I'm entitled to this thing because *I* say so".

Fun fact: the pokemon got DQ'd, not the players. The only people who were not allowed to continue participating were the ones who had less than 4 pokemon pass the legality check. Someone had their Cresselia disallowed but was able to continue participating. The people crying on twitter were as caught up in their emotions as you are, piss baby.

Honestly don't even know how you manage to frick up genning pokemon. It's so easy to just mark it as "hatched from egg" and give it whatever you want that's legal from that gen. And if you have a 3DS (really who doesn't) the sky's the limit since you can send it through bank and you don't have to worry about the home flag on a transferred pokemon.
Hell PKHex even has a legality checker, so I really don't get someone can have such hubris or be so stupid as to get caught.

It's not that they fricked up the pkhex part, it's that they injected SWSH and PLA only mons directly into SV so they didn't have the Home tracker to show that they were transferred. There's no way to generate a tracker in pkhex because it's server-side from Home and I don't think it flagged it before. If they had injected the mons into those games, transferred to Home and then put them in SV, nothing would have happened to them.
A lot of things that make it really obvious a mon is hacked just don't get flagged up in general, and I don't think they ever will because of plausible deniability and GF/TPC not wanting to work with the people who make third party tools. If you really bother to look into the rental teams that get posted, about 90% of VGC players would get DQ'd for cheating because there's shit like a team all having the same OTID while being from different games and everything wild caught having 5/6 perfect IVs and the right nature with no bottle caps or mints and max PP on everything and while that's technically possible, it's never happening legitimately.
i gave up on home when i learned that they don't even let you retain move sets between games anymore. utterly pointless
i'm aware of the situation BDSP and PLA put them in, but i don't care. it could be done between GSC and RBY, but it can't be done in their 30 years-later successors. consider that.
This. What’s the point of transferring if the Pokemon isn’t actually preserved as-is? As far as I’m concerned, everything I’ve ever caught between RSE to USUM can stay in Alola forever. At least it’s nice there. I won’t fall for the Home scam, ever. If I ever play another mainline game, which is looking more and more unlikely, it will be a fresh start.
Same. I wouldn't even bother with the free version of Home if I ever play a game that uses it since it's known that it slaps tracker IDs on each individual Pokémon that goes through it.
>What’s the point of transferring if the Pokemon isn’t actually preserved as-is?
I need someone to explain to me why this is so important for some people. I'm not saying it's wrong, but I cannot wrap my head about this logic at the same time. Do you not want to change moves around? How is anything about Pokemon that sacred that you must not change anything? I can sort of buy event moves only, but even then, I'd still get rid of V-create on Rayquaza. I'm more or less asking why this is even a possibility of being a contender for a "broke the camels back" moment.
Them forcibly removing a Pokemon's moves when moving to a new game in order to give it the default level up moves devalues Event Pokemon by stripping them of their identity outside of their Ribbons, OT and Trainer ID.
It's essentially saying the only Pokemon with value that still remain are those with ribbons, but only god knows how long they'll hold onto those before they just stop keeping track and clean that data off the Pokemon in some future iteration of the storage app.
>devalues Event Pokemon
Ok, so here's my question. Did you ever once thought about somehow selling this? I can understand personal value, if it hurts you on a personal level, fair. It's fair if you're only speaking for yourself, and I'm going to assume that too. That is the only way this makes any god damn sense to me. If you feel like this event mon is not worth keeping because of a moveset or ribbon, that is your choice.
Because frick you, they’re MY Pokemon. They are the way they are because I desire it so, and I will choose the route that lets me keep them the way I like them. I don’t have to justify this to you because it’s common sense.
Ribbons definitely are not sacred to Gamefreak. It’s only a matter of time before they’re cut as well, and soon after that there will be nothing left to distinguish a Pokemon as being from previous games.
Maybe my problem is I'm not as emotionally invested in an excel spreadsheet wrapped in a cute sprite/3D model. Re-read what you wrote and see if that still seems rational. If you still think it is, agree to disagree and I'll frick off for the night.
>a-agree to disagree
Agree to suck my wiener, gay. It doesn’t matter if it’s petty or insignificant to you because I don’t care about you. I care about me. There is zero point in using any kind of transfer service in these games if the Pokemon is not preserved as-is. At that point you may as well just catch a new one natively, exposing Home as a massive waste of time and money. You don’t understand the appeal of collecting at all, and that’s the entire objective of Pokemon.

Wow what a narcissistic Black person you are. Get fricked moron
The moveset is part of what makes the mon, even if its not competitive, not to mention in mons from older games you wasted your only tm on that move. And you can't even rebuild the old moveset always(even if all the old moves were in) because they changed what moves a mon can learn.
When I transfered my older mons to BD they were basically unrecognizable.
If you HAVE to have a limited movepool SWSH already did the perfect compromise, you keep the old move and have the option to change.
>but it can't be done
It CAN be done, they just don't want to.
SWSH itself still keeps the old moves, though you wont be able to use all.
>have a living dex in Home >working on a shiny dex >don't care about dexit >"you never cared abut pogeymans"
No, I just don't care as much as you, to start having mental episodes online when they all couldn't go to Next Game, where you had to buy a new console to even fricking trade them up. >"but i wuz a kid and my schoolfriends had consoles"
And I was an adult. adults always got the shaft with transfers, unless they emulated.
>have a living dex in Home
That's only possible if you pay the subscription, which you didn't need to prior.
There's never been a point to transferring. People who don't still drag around their infant blankie don't hang on to old things like that, and don't care about this "issue".
No I played the games, I'm just not a sperg. What about this don't you get? What, I never liked Zelda unless I cry that the Spinner wasn't in BotW? I played Twilight Princess and then I moved on, same with pokemon. You're literally just autistic.

I hate GTS so much on this shit. There are motherfrickers that are actually putting PIKACHU up for trading for a legendary. How stupid do you have to be to fall for that?
This has been said for almost 20 years now. GTS is highly useful if you put offers on there, and if you put something reasonable there's a high chance you'll get what you want within an hour. Kids will even give you their legendaries if you offer a common mon that happens to be exclusive to one version. You're not going to get that in trade forums.
For the stupid people who don't understand. HOME is not a game. It is a storage unit for your pokemon. All mainline games feature pokemon. The games are complete even if they don't offer every single pokemon. Transferring in pokemon from home/other versions Is s feature.
You can get a battle-ready team of any mon you want in a very short time nowadays.
I mean you can EV train piss easy, Max any IV you want with caps, change natures, change ability or make it have HA, get egg moves on any pokemon without having to actually breed a new one, etc.
Only the ability patch is a b***h to get, there's no excuse for anything else.
You can just catch a random pokemon in the wild and have it battle ready in less than an hour.
Your 'mons are better off in Home anyway. When your shitch eventually bricks they won't be completely lost.
Unless if TPCi somehow nets you as a false positive for cheating and steals all of your mons.
