Ostensibly yeah, but you start to notice all sorts of little details as you get deeper into it.
Stuff like slugcats movement mechanics, procedural animation, interactions between various npcs and such.

Either way, it's because it's a hard platformer (popular genre) that is polished and has a cute little story, which makes for good streamer backlog. The troony angle was added later IIRc because the creator trooned out, like with the Matrix

Music is good.
The entire game is about finding an absence of a father figure while battling your inner demon. Something that hits deep for the letter people crowd

1st playthrough, fun.
2nd playthrough collecting all strawberries, challenging fun.
3rd playthrough, collecting rest of the shit and completing all the challenges that force you to master all the mechanics, head to brick wall and sore fingers from crushing the controller fun.
It's a good game frick everyone who says otherwise.
