i liked nilin's game. wish it had a bit more content & variety, or at least more open spaces to explore. the mix of old and new architecture & design in their version of paris was cool

the soundtrack for this game is just non stop bangers shame the gameplay is a bit undercooked because the setting, music, etc. was fricking great.

Why was this game the one to get hated for being average ? It had a unique artstyle, interesting (although shallow) ideas and was literally the first game of new made studio.

The melee/combo system felt really unfinished. If this game had another 6 or so months to refine it, it would have been amazing. It's the only blemish on an otherwise fantastic game.
The most tragic thing about it is that it’s never going to get a sequel due to Capcom being what it is today.
If they managed to iron out the gameplay flaws and hire some actual good writers the sequel would have been kino.

DONTNOD seems to be back into making actual games now. They outsourced the last "Life is Strange" to another studio and are now working on Banisher, so we can hope.
Every so often game journos needs to shit on a Big budget game to pretend like they're not the sell out rats that they are. Just like film critics and "Remember Me" was the perfect target:
