Depends on the person. My 63 year old mom understands Swedish perfectly because she grew up with swedish TV. I understand very little and what I learned what from calling Microsoft tech support after fucking my PC up as a kid, danish numbers would get redirected to swedish support lines.

The movie very clearly isn't black and white about alcohol consumption the only thing it clearly paints as bad is outright alcoholism which they fall into because they more than triple their experiments intended BAC.
They used alcohol as a crutch in the beginning and learn hard lessons as a result. The ending is them having learned how to live both with and without alcohol, finding reasons to enjoy life again.

Especially if you are experienced. One winter we went to a cabin in the snow and the deck was iced over. I thought it was the funniest shit to slip and pretend like I was about to fall while drunk. Just loony toon style slipping and skidding for 5 minutes straight. My friends kept getting mad saying I was gonna bust my ass eventually. Kept doing it all weekend, never fell lol.
