Unlike typical JRPGs of old, this game uses a tactical turn-based system where characters can move around the combat area. This adds a much needed level of depth to typical turn-based combat where positioning, planning, coordination and execution are vital. It's much like playing chess if it had more rpg elements, and if the board were 4 times the size.
