what a fricking awfully designed boss fight, it's a reskin of the first put together in the last couple of months before release and it shows, and you fight him right before the final one.
Never seen anyone say that the third colossus is the "peak", as if the rest of the game fails to live up to it in some way. Very strange opinion. In fact the good/bad colossi are pretty much evenly paced throughout the whole game.
I don't see it. I mean he's probably my favorite design-wise and his arena is really cool but the puzzle itself was meh. For example the bird and the sandworm were definitely more memorable. Not to mention the final colossus and the insanely climactic final stretch of the game.

All the levels starting from the sun temple felt boring as frick and visually lame, had none of the magic of the first few levels.
>The sun temple is shit and looks like shit
Big industrial areas are fricking cool and it reminded me of laputa so I like it for that >The orb collecting was sleep-inducing
Stupid point because you just play the stage to get them, it's not a knuckles emerald search level or whatever
Agree with the last one
Probably the PS2 original if you can handle the low fps. PS3 is also a bit of a mixed bag. The framerate is stable 30 but it's harder because the physics are different/broken. I've seen some people say that the colossi also flail about way more on ps3 for some reason making the physics problem even worse. Don't know if that's true though.
ninja gaiden 2 really fricks up with the pacing, all the greater fiends are on point but the other bosses typically just feel like wasted space. the first boss is pretty well thought but simple then the difficulty ramps up hard with genshin but right after you see alexei being gay with the statue of liberty and then you fight a floating mechanical caterpillar with 0 context instead. the exposition behind the one regular ass fiend popping up out of the subway was more impactful to the story than that shit and i wanted to shut the game off immediately.
the gameplay is improving but im not sure if it will ever reach this level of aesthetic and thematic awesome-ness again
sisyphus for example has stronger moves, but >he looks way blander >boss theme is only superior on the technical side and the skill of composition, but it simply doesnt hit as hard or set as good of an atmosphere >utterly predictable compared to minos prime being entirely unexpected >panopticon is just a silly version of the flesh prison >flesh prison is actually in a fitting layer with a lore reason for it, panopticon is in heresy because??? >from the spinal staircase to the "have fun hehe so badass youre totally fricked aint i cool" terminals and boss doors
p-2 is kino but sisyphus himself just just doesnt hit the same level of awesomeness of playing p-1 for the first time
That's the middle point not counting DLC
Too soon
The eagle was the peak for me. Being able to jum on its wings and fly on its back blew my mind at the time. Such a beautiful game.

half the fights in the 2nd half of SOTC are absolute dogshit

It's not that the rest of the game fails to live up to it but it's pretty easy to see why is he a favorite.

The desert flying serpent was the best also the final boss despite not moving was pretty fricking awesome being at the top of the world.

You're fricking moronic, the only low point in the game is the jungle levels
The sun temple is shit and looks like shit
The orb collecting was sleep-inducing
The eclipse gimmick was pure shit slapped in here

so... what's the best version of this game anyway?
>inb4 the remake
anything but the most recent remake I think

PS2 = ideal
PS3 = fine
PS4 = you didn't play the game
There'll never be a better example than Persona 5.
That ain't broodwar
Stupid fricking thread
I beat the first colossal and second one.
Does the gameplay get better or are the rest of the bosses just puzzles for the rest of the bosses?
Bioshock Infinite
Na the moronic ending was the peak

This is the best colossus
