This is the second worst, nearly every spell in the game is balanced around this item, when you get stunlocked for 9 seconds because of one or two characters you're supposed to buy Black King Bar, it makes hard carries nearly impossible to shut down while it's active unless you get one of the few spells in the entire game in your team that pierces magic immunity.
Blink dagger alone is not enough for "heroes who need to be close to deal shittons of damage" to dominate. Too many items to counter them for the same price or cheaper.

There you go, and now you can blink into a fight and shove your initiation up your ass. Except that at least 3 of the items i listed will also save teammates and not only yourself while providing stats.
You're thinking too much of Ursa, Eul is good (only because it buys some time) but Ghost Scepter just fricks oneself in the magic resistance department, or someone else with Ethereal Blade. Plus that item selection also means you need what are generally support items just to survive someone who has a Blink Dagger that is important to their kit.
Don't underestimate BKB, you don't need stats if it means actually doing your shit in a teamfight. In one recent match Mars and OD immediately jumped on me as a Sniper with the former's stun and the latter's Vyse while the team was wiped, then I finished BKB, used it in the next teamfight and completely stomped the other team, we still lost but the completely different outcome was only thanks to BKB. Being able to ignore almost every disable in the game while it's active, dispel most status effects like silence and act as a get out of jail card if you get ganked is far more valuable than any stat it could give.

It's a mad-dash to get a BKB these days, due to the pacing of the game. I think it should go back to being 5 seconds instead of 6, that was a dumb bandaid change back when we still had all the other crazy CC extending bullshit in the game.

If bkb was removed from the game, you'd likely see nothing but semicarries in the pos 1 role, or a support/mid carry meta.
They should increase the recipe price so rushing it becomes riskier and a longer delay

Current issue with bkb is that every core buys it and starts to push the tempo while items that actively counter it (bash, sheevers, halbert) cost more and come online slower. Plus lower duration of 5 seconds is so much better then 4.
It was always hard to balance that shit, chillturd tried with stat resistances but it was meh attempt. At the same time without it hold of the fun doturd 2 spells would have to go for being too broken.
Its not that blink is bad on supports, its that pos 5 doesn't have the money to buy blink.

People will put up with a weapon's drawbacks if it has the biggest strengths. If every weapon was a projectile weapon, everyone would beeline towards shit like the EPG and Kraber because they've got the biggest amount of strengths despite their flaws (Kraber can one-shot any pilot wherever they're hit and the EPG can help deal chip damage to titans + does splash damage).
Hitscan is shit but it's kind of necessary to put that sort of thing in its place.

the CAR etc still has high ROF and a big magazine. a CAR can kill someone between two EPG shots. If the kraber was shitscan the only change would be a few homosexuals camping a corner of the map and clicking on people. Not everyone walljumping around with it and shooting people.
I dont think making everything projectile would help anyway. Guns are so hilariously broken you can still spray down people with an SMG even if bullets have travel time. Only time projectiles matter in apex legends is on long ranges, long ranges that rarely happen in titanfall since you have way more mobility and a smaller map.

That's the best item in the game though. I haven't played Dota in like 7 years, but back when I did I bought dagger on everything. Mobility is often underrated.
The only thing "ruining" the game is the blink upgrades. Blink Dagger itself is fine, because you are trading insane utility with a high cost and zero stats. BKB is also in a similar position and with more and more abilities/items piercing the shit, it isn't nearly as useful as it once was.
Swift, Arcane and especially Overwhelming blink are too good to pass over when it comes to late game though.

Yeah, the most recent patch is really good. The game has been pretty stable over the past year or so, not so much crazy shit.
Playing support is way easier now, wards are free (sentries 50g each), you get a free TP scroll if you die, and everyone has their own courier. So you aren't fricked in lane if you lose an early trade. Much more accessible.
even when you stomp a team and they see there is no coming back, the game will drag on to 50 minutes.

It really depends on your ego and adaptability. Having some prior League/HoN experience can definitely prove beneficial.
At the first sign of toxicity - mute and forget. Learn how to lose - not every game is a cakewalk and comebacks are very common if you draft properly for lategame and you (or no one else) tilts.
Pick a role that you fancy, I'd suggest starting with 4 - hero pool is really flexible. Then pick a handful of heroes you fancy for that role.
You will learn mechanics and interractions purely by experience or experimentation.
Learn how (and when) to pull. Learn how to stack, how to ward efficiently, when to rotate and secure objectives (catapult wave, water runes, bounty runes, 6 min runes etc.) All this shit can be easily and quickly adapted into your gameplay if you watch pro games and pay attention to the players playing your role of choosing.

This is the second worst, nearly every spell in the game is balanced around this item, when you get stunlocked for 9 seconds because of one or two characters you're supposed to buy Black King Bar, it makes hard carries nearly impossible to shut down while it's active unless you get one of the few spells in the entire game in your team that pierces magic immunity.
Blink dagger alone is not enough for "heroes who need to be close to deal shittons of damage" to dominate. Too many items to counter them for the same price or cheaper.

You're thinking too much of Ursa, Eul is good (only because it buys some time) but Ghost Scepter just fricks oneself in the magic resistance department, or someone else with Ethereal Blade. Plus that item selection also means you need what are generally support items just to survive someone who has a Blink Dagger that is important to their kit.

Don't underestimate BKB, you don't need stats if it means actually doing your shit in a teamfight. In one recent match Mars and OD immediately jumped on me as a Sniper with the former's stun and the latter's Vyse while the team was wiped, then I finished BKB, used it in the next teamfight and completely stomped the other team, we still lost but the completely different outcome was only thanks to BKB. Being able to ignore almost every disable in the game while it's active, dispel most status effects like silence and act as a get out of jail card if you get ganked is far more valuable than any stat it could give.

it's for diving supports that dont have escape or secure dmg output. but I think a lot of newbs just use it as an escape or randomly mid fight which is dumb. ex if you're PA you bkb blink on lion who has only built a blink dagger so sven or whoever else they have cant stun you and lion is out of the game for the teamfight. alternatively maybe you use it to secure dmg during your satanic so you dont die when you get nuked by lion or whoever.

It's a mad-dash to get a BKB these days, due to the pacing of the game. Current issue with bkb is that every core buys it and starts to push the tempo while items that actively counter it (bash, sheevers, halbert) cost more and come online slower. Plus lower duration of 5 seconds is so much better then 4.
It was always hard to balance that shit, chillturd tried with stat resistances but it was meh attempt. At the same time without it hold of the fun doturd 2 spells would have to go for being too broken.

Guns constantly cycled in whatever was the new OP. The baseline was a high magazine size high ROF precise machine gun. So if the r97 gets nerfed, people move to the CAR, if the car would get nerfed, people would just run the alternator. You could slash the ammo capacity in half and also half the damage of each machine gun and only then would you reach something workable.

People will put up with a weapon's drawbacks if it has the biggest strengths. If every weapon was a projectile weapon, everyone would beeline towards shit like the EPG and Kraber because they've got the biggest amount of strengths despite their flaws (Kraber can one-shot any pilot wherever they're hit and the EPG can help deal chip damage to titans + does splash damage).
Hitscan is shit but it's kind of necessary to put that sort of thing in its place.

I dont think making everything projectile would help anyway. Guns are so hilariously broken you can still spray down people with an SMG even if bullets have travel time. Only time projectiles matter in apex legends is on long ranges, long ranges that rarely happen in titanfall since you have way more mobility and a smaller map.

The only thing "ruining" the game is the blink upgrades. Blink Dagger itself is fine, because you are trading insane utility with a high cost and zero stats. BKB is also in a similar position and with more and more abilities/items piercing the shit, it isn't nearly as useful as it once was.
Swift, Arcane and especially Overwhelming blink are too good to pass over when it comes to late game though.

Yeah, the most recent patch is really good. The game has been pretty stable over the past year or so, not so much crazy shit.
Playing support is way easier now, wards are free (sentries 50g each), you get a free TP scroll if you die, and everyone has their own courier. So you aren't fricked in lane if you lose an early trade. Much more accessible.

MMR has no control for your allies completely fricking your shit up, and makes the meta of whatever game you're playing insanely limited to the most abusive strategic decisions possible.
This massively narrows the window of possibility for you to carry your team if you're not the one who has their hands on the most carry-able role/hero/whatever.
This is evident in basically every game that fits that category, League/dota/smite, class shooters like overwatch and more all suffer from this issue, and CSGO almost fully escapes this issue because of headshot damage.
You need to take the final competitive vidyapill - Playing ranked matchmaking in any team-based game is completely pointless.
You will not feel good at the end of the grind, you will not gain b***hes, you will not accomplish anything apart from wasting your life, burning out your adrenaline production, increasing your depressing and lowering your testosterone production by suffering imagined loss.

if you're in your mid to late 20s, too long. don't bother. if you're 18 or so, you could if you wanted to but it won't be worth it. you're having to compete with people that have been playing for up to a decade, you don't have the advantage of being part of the group that played it in beta when almost everyone was on the generally same playing field due to it being new so you'll have to tryhard to learn at an accelerated rate.

It really depends on your ego and adaptability. Having some prior League/HoN experience can definitely prove beneficial.
At the first sign of toxicity - mute and forget. Learn how to lose - not every game is a cakewalk and comebacks are very common if you draft properly for lategame and you (or no one else) tilts.
Pick a role that you fancy, I'd suggest starting with 4 - hero pool is really flexible. Then pick a handful of heroes you fancy for that role.
You will learn mechanics and interractions purely by experience or experimentation.
Learn how (and when) to pull. Learn how to stack, how to ward efficiently, when to rotate and secure objectives (catapult wave, water runes, bounty runes, 6 min runes etc.) All this shit can be easily and quickly adapted into your gameplay if you watch pro games and pay attention to the players playing your role of choosing.
