Gamebookscaner

They died and scanning partner decided to take down the entire archive. People are trying to rebuild the archive. If anyone has anything to contribute please share it in this thread.

Not sure that anything I still have is even one of their scans. I had some just a couple but deleted them a while ago. Since you're asking for help, I'll let you figure it out if anything here is of interest but I doubt it. I'd be willing up reup.

I doubt his last words were "delete everything on the channel".

It sounds like the partner was contracted out, including making an internet archive page. Since the project lead and cash source is gone, the project is over. Hense deleting everything.

Do you have a list of what was in their archive? I probably downloaded a bunch of stuff but I don't know who uploaded what.

      >Do you have a list of what was in their archive?

No, only memories. I downloaded most of the strategy guides since they seemed the most interesting. However, there was a scattering of random magazines, like The PlayStation, and no clue how many issues or which ones. And when it went down they were uploading issues of Famimaga including the supplements and mini-guides.

"I realized videogames is an embarrassing manchild hobby so I'll fake my own death to erase my online presence and sidetrack doxers."

Always that possibility. But it's strange they'd scan since 2012, and then now just suddenly declare they'd dead out of the blue to get away from it?

I remember they did I think some 2000 and 2001 era PlayStation list? It was this big index of games that were released. Kind of some kind of index. I didn't download that one.

          >all about

According to the JP wiki, most are scanned but a few are missing:

          >ALL ABOUT Capcom Fighting Game 1987-2000
          >ALL ABOUT SNK Fighting Game 1991-2000

Not surprised, saw this coming miles away when they started scanning these by the boatload. Heavily publicizing the efforts on twitter where the same bigwig rights holders also have official accounts probably did more harm than good, this sort of thing should go a bit more underground to be honest
