They died and scanning partner decided to take down the entire archive. People are trying to rebuild the archive. If anyone has anything to contribute please share it in this thread.

Not sure that anything I still have is even one of their scans. I had some just a couple but deleted them a while ago. Since you're asking for help, I'll let you figure it out if anything here is of interest but I doubt it. I'd be willing up reup.

Cringe.

Some nerd scanned the strategy guides for DMC1-4, plus a bunch of manga and side books.
>They died
All of them? Both of them? Sounds like a massacre.
What's the thinking here?
"My buddy died, he was passionate about this project, and I helped him on it so I believe in getting this material online as well."
>proceeds to delete everything
I doubt his last words were "delete everything on the channel".
It sounds like the partner was contracted out, including making an internet archive page. Since the project lead and cash source is gone, the project is over. Hense deleting everything.
"I realized videogames is an embarrassing manchild hobby so I'll fake my own death to erase my online presence and sidetrack doxers."
Do you have a list of what was in their archive? I probably downloaded a bunch of stuff but I don't know who uploaded what.
>Do you have a list of what was in their archive?
No, only memories. I downloaded most of the strategy guides since they seemed the most interesting. However, there was a scattering of random magazines, like The PlayStation, and no clue how many issues or which ones. And when it went down they were uploading issues of Famimaga including the supplements and mini-guides.
Always that possibility. But it's strange they'd scan since 2012, and then now just suddenly declare they'd dead out of the blue to get away from it?
>And when it went down they were uploading issues of Famimaga including the supplements and mini-guides
Ah yes, Î remember they were adding a bunch of those. Not a big fan so I didn't download any.
Picrel is what I have.
I remember they did I think some 2000 and 2001 era PlayStation list? It was this big index of games that were released. Kind of some kind of index. I didn't download that one.
>all about
According to the JP wiki, most are scanned but a few are missing:
>ALL ABOUT Capcom Fighting Game 1987-2000
>ALL ABOUT SNK Fighting Game 1991-2000
>ALL ABOUT STREET FIGHTER EX 完全解析VIDEO (VHS)
>Vol. 1: ALL ABOUT fighting game
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/ALL_ABOUT%E3%82%B7%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%82%BA
>gamest mook
Oh a bunch have dropped in recent years. But it's nowhere near the end. there's like 200 of these things.
>remains unscanned
>I remember they did I think some 2000 and 2001 era PlayStation list? It was this big index of games that were released. Kind of some kind of index. I didn't download that one.
I only have this one.
And here I thought vampire Hunter was the first issue, but only now did I notice it's a deluxe version actually.
>I only have this one.
Nah, that's some kindle rip of kusoage games.
I think I remember seeing that one together with a bunch of other catalogs, but if it was all in B&W I probably deleted it.
Could only find pic related but it's nothing special.

>I think I remember seeing that one together with a bunch of other catalogs, but if it was all in B&W I probably deleted it.
I believe the catalogs were by Dengeki. It listed every game released in that year.
Don't think I have it.
Do you have any of The PlayStation?
Issues 5, 9, 10, 11 and 33.
were any by gamebook scaner?
That's the thing, there's really nothing to identify who scanned those. But I can still find all 5 on IA, so I guess not.
I think there's some Valkyrie Profile guides by gamebookscaner, I could upload those somewhere.
Dang. I'd like the Rogue Galaxy and Valkyrie Profile 4Koma.
I got something for you.

how many? I want to think there were 12? Put them all on nyaa.
I dont have anymore. I literally went to some malware torrent websites to fetch some old torrents and managed to get those. There was also the Rouge Galaxy one but no luck with seeders so far.
there's mirrors of IA torrents?
Isn't there mirrors of every torrent? Of course 99% are usually dead.
stop teasing and post all of them.
thank you
Japs are honestly the worst at deciding what a shit game is.
Could you upload that to mediafire please? I would like to read that issue.
All I noticed is you can check the titles of some of his uploads using waybackmachine

Absolutely riddled with malware.
>Absolutely riddled with malware.
it's not.

Yes, these periodically show up. Most have been scanned by the anonymous scanxxxx.jpg group, but a few like the Warzard book came out by other scanners.

I'm not seeding that shit until more people start seeding this torrent. Fricking leeches are already killing this torrent after 2 days.
*I'm not seeding that shit again.
Why can't people seed torrents that aren't dead? Is it brain damage?

Fug. It shows he had a lot of famitsu dreamcast, the playstation, weekly famitsu, the playstation. Just an assortment of magazines.
I went through a bunch of archives the last few months, but apparently I missed some Dreamcast and PS1 magazines.
Any good hidden stuff on that website? I still have an active rapidgator premium downloader so I'll give it a search and download whatever catches my eyes.
>Any good hidden stuff on that website?
I'm not sure, a lot of stuff they have seems to be available already on archive.org
I think if you are looking for something specific it might be worth it to take a look there, this is how I found the Playstation Perfect Catalogue and Kusoge Ranking scans.

Those gays are after Famitsu now. Hope someone saved them.
"those gays" being Kadokawa, one of the biggest media conglomerates in Japan. The picture is just Enterbrain, their publishing division.
I honestly thought IA was immune to takedowns, but guess I was wrong.
lol no. it's just been mostly over looked and most publishers don't think it's worth it. but the times they are a changin'.
>I honestly thought IA was immune to takedowns
lol
>They're going after Famitsu uploads now
Not surprised, saw this coming miles away when they started scanning these by the boatload. Heavily publicizing the efforts on twitter where the same bigwig rights holders also have official accounts probably did more harm than good, this sort of thing should go a bit more underground to be honest
I think they should move to nyaa.
Nyaa apparently disabled registration a long while ago and has kept it turned off for a long while. First time I'm finding out about this and I don't know why....
That DMCA exception only applied to old software IIRC. May explain why people in certain channels share those ROM fullset links in places that would otherwise delete it for rules against enabling piracy
The Famitsu guidebooks I see scanned on archive don't advertize this at all, and don't even use the JP name.

bump
Ugly, ugly, mascot. Ugly magazine. Ugly soul.
what went through the head of people who bought magazines about only one console?
They bought it because they owned only one console.
because they owned the console and wanted to know what to get? Japan is a big place, and it's quite dense, with a very thriving magazine culture, so niche magazines make more sense.
rip
