I paid $40 for their one time code. So this means i get xbox gp ultimate for a couple years until the original owner ends their contract with the network provider. 2 hours late, but yes you just use a VPN, account region does not matter. You can also buy cheap game keys which is what I do. I personally use gameflip because I find people sell keys cheaper there and are competitive with each other when it comes to prices. I have never bought Gold or Gamepass this way so I couldn't tell you which site has the cheapest prices on that shit.

That's how subscriptions work, buckaroo. The overwhelming majority pay far more into the system than they'll ever take out. The tiny fraction who get their money's worth are just written off as business expenses. Game Pass, cable TV, car insurance. It's all the same.
The only reason you may even have this question because you have no idea about the console ecosystem or you play games in a very specific way.
The basic idea of the system is like Netflix. You don't really pay to watch every single show on it but to always have something to watch, including some content you really want to. Game Pass is the same. Old games sell like shit after a year. The majority of the content in these services are old games while the worthwhile content is in the form of day1 releases. That is why if you compare PS+ and GP it quickly becomes obvious Sony - by not doing day 1 games - keeps the service running for the fraction of the price but at the same time it offers the fraction of the value.
If you are concerned about not playing enough games you are looking this in a wrong way and you probably have no idea about console game pricing. You can easily justify the price of the sub in busy months (last year GP had Sea of Stars, Lies of P, Payday 3, Starfield day1 in the same month) and even in lighter ones. You also think that everyone just runs through every game then throws it away for the next. In fact achievement and trophy statistics show most people buy games for full price but never even get halfway in them. People waste more money on full sales than subscriptions.
The issue with GP is it works best in walled gardens (as in the PC scene you are competing with piracy and steam) but Microsoft in their infinite wisdom "doesn't care" about console sales. If they grew the Xbox userbase properly then subs would skyrocket the same. If GP had a large userbase even the competitors had to kneel to it. It was told a few times the issue of GP is not sustainability but hard capped growth due to the Xbox/PC platforms.

- no Xbox slim/pro
- no permanent price cut
- sending out the console without a single game, shit games
- basically no advertisement in the EU, they cut down every local team to the bones after the 360 (in my country the local 360 marketing team absolutely obliterated Nintendo and Sony for a whole gen and they let them go)
- localization issues (mostly not being fricking available at all)
- very likely to kill physical for the system and also not even bothering releasing limited special edition physicals for the fans
- no special edition consoles (like a fricking wrap for Starfield? - regardless of what you think about the game)
- 1 million new controller colors but not actual QC
- no console+game bundles in Japan (they could be on the top 10 Famitsu charts FOR FREE in most months)
Don't even let me begin on when Sony started aggressively pricing the PS5 last summer and Xbox didn't react, then they dropped the price to $400 during Christmas and expected something to happen without a single banger.

The price of a Netflix sub is around the same price as a movie/series DVD. The price of Game Pass is like 1/6 the price of a game. It makes no sense. The sub would have to be like $60-$70 a month to make sense.

It is very likely Namco will make a bank on selling the DLC (which they can over-price however they want to) for the new wave of players than what they made on the game in the last two years.
