MMOs make more money in cash shops than subs these days.
If they had some brain cells at blizz HQ, they would have ditched the sub fee back when the game tanked in 2015, gone free2play then jack up the cash shop full of cosmetic garbage that the girls and gays love to dump their paychecks on. Incentivized further by the influx of f2p randoms that they want to spend money to show off to. It's so easy.
