didn't like shadow that much on first playthrough, but then replayed it couple years later and ended up 100% it.
i recommend using the immersion voices or whatever it was called. changes the npc language to some jungle language. it's funny because their delivery is very flat and then lara speaks them english all the time
The first game was fine, but I REALLY loved Rise. And then Shadow came out and I hated it so much that I dropped it after like 3 hours.
Rise was less impressive to me, the mystery wasn't very mysterious and the side quests and crafting felt boring. The environments were also inferior to the first game, which was great in that regard, with different historical periods represented in the wreckages.
Overall the shooting felt decent, "attatching" and "detatching" from cover was smooth and very fluid relative to other titles of the time.
The Survivor trilogy is utter trash and everyone knows it. Search "tomb raider" on youtube in incognito mode and you'll see 90% of the results being classic TR with the other 10% being the netflix special getting shilled at the top. It was like this even before the remasters launched
I played the first 1, think I have the other 2 on PS+ but not played them.
I never liked tomb raider anyway and that nu lara game is copy paste uncharted
>nu lara game is copy paste uncharted
They aren't. If anything they are 3D metroidvanias, shares more similarity with Respawn Jedi games than Uncharted.
Actually they pretty much copy the ND formula without the walk and talk sections.
The "tombs" were all sectioned areas with a hidden loading screen between and the actual puzzles were just scripted climbing sequences.
Its not really that much of a difficult to see that it is copying uncharted. Shit uncharted is a copy of old tomb raider anyway, well that pitfall and indiana jones.
Just nu raider went full circle and copied uncharted.
Uncharted games are linear shooters with some platforming and puzzles. NuTR games are 3D metroidvanias with Lara unlocking new skills(or keys in nuTR's case) to progress through formerly unreachable locations. You can go back to Syrian caves, 2nd game's prologue mission even after you finish the game. You can't do that in any of the Uncharted games, they are linear with no backtracking.
Tomb raider has all the basic crafting, skills, explorable areas that you can go back to with million collectibles and sidequests and tombs and whatever.
Uncharted is more straightforward, you go from point A to B, some mild platforming, kill tons of guys, maybe do some puzzle. Not much more. More of you play a level and then move to next level type
I think the reason people call it Uncharted-like is because most people don't go back to do those side quests, tombs, or collectables. They just run and gun through the story and uninstall.
Could be or they haven't played the games and just assume they are same because both are indiana jonesesque.
I think even if you run and gun through the game fast as possible it's still different experience, but oh well doesn't matter much. Personally I like both series

I got all the nuLara and Uncharted games for free (or super cheap). I beat all 3 TR games. I attempted to play 2 or 3 of the Uncharted games but I always gave up on 2 hours or less.
not sure why I liked the TR games so much more. I am easily entertained by metroidvanias, so maybe the upgrades scratched that itch for me. I feel like there's more to it than that though.
I only played 2013 and rise but I thought they were solid tbh. Gameplay wise at least. Sure it's basically Uncharted but you get to play as Lara, so I prefer it. Call me coomer brained. Story is whatever though.
I liked the first one when it came out. That style of gritty reboot was still pretty novel at the time. I've heard good things about Rise but haven't played it yet
They are the only Lara Croft games I played.
>t.women
I wonder if this type of Ganker women ever play the male gaze games or male appeal games?
The first game was fine, but I REALLY loved Rise. And then Shadow came out and I hated it so much that I dropped it after like 3 hours.
Yeah, Rise was genuinely good. I didn't care for the first one or Shadow.

I keep hearing good things about Rise. What is so different about it from the other two reboots for it to earn the praise it gets?
Rise is linear cover shooter garbage, the other games still had some exploration and puzzle solving without _forced_ spoilers after a few seconds.
good games
>whenever I see a nu-Lara trailer
What, like six years ago? Shadow came out in 2018 and they haven't made a new one since.
>gynocentric slop
Glad its dead.
>gynocentric
Not a real problem.
Oh yes it fricking is
Only when it's done terribly, which is an entirely other issue.

It's not super similar outside of being third person and you shoot things

The troony games.

Story is probably the weakest part in that trilogy. Very whatever like you said
Yeah I genuinely couldn't get into them at all and I doubt the third game, Shadow, is any different. But I still wanna play it at some point.
First one is the only great one, the other ones are AAA slop
I played the first two. They're ok. Not worth a playthrough
hey bubbles

Shadow is shit, also Lara controls so fricking badly. How did they get it so wrong?
also OP is moronic
