Come on m8. You may want this to be how it is but you damn well know it isn't.
Welcome to another Fallout thread inhabited by attention whoring zoomers that treat Ganker as social media and (You)s as upvotes/likes. They mostly come from reddit or iFunny.
I'll try to salvage this thread but proposing the question of, is there a remake out there, be it official or fan made that's worth existing? And by that I don't mean it needs to be better than the original, just do enough to distinguish himself in a way that it's existence was warranted?
My pick is the 2002 RE remake
Honestly the concept of remakes seem to only exist to cash in on a preexisting IP. I mean people that like the originals usually hate them and those that know nothing are put off and would rather just play something new. I mean if something like that has to exist it should just be remasters/rereleases.
I feel like there's a niche of games that could be remade, ones that have aged poorly because they were made with new technologies that weren't quite there yet.
Early 3D games like the OG RE tend to have terrible controls and camera because of that
True I do like the RE remake, but I have to admit that there is something lost in remaking a game. Something that’s very fundamental. Especially with recent remakes toning down or changing characters. To the point where it just ends up being more off a knock off.
Fallout doesn't really need a remake, (the game is good and playable) but a overall 'remaster' that just fixes objectively stupid things like removing the throwing skill, merging first aid and doctor, adding more than 3 traits that are actually useful, and filling in all of the missing animations for companions so they can use every weapon, that would be very cool.
I'd much prefer a Fallout 2 remake. Fallout 1 felt like a tech demo for Fallout 2 IMO. >Linear short story >not a lot of areas to explore >Very few side quest >The few companions there were all dog shit and didn't have interesting interactions or backstories
Fallout et tu, there
What does a fallout 1 remake look like to you?
Better graphics and controls, more light hearted story, better companions, larger map.
Frick off back to 4 zoom zoom.
>gatekeeping
yikes, cringe my guy.
>filtered
Let’s keep it that way.
why did you take the bait?
Why did you?
Like a fps but keep everything else the same
a popup at the start of the game telling you which button is vats, a compass, better gwafics since it's a remake, uh..... boobs?
like wasteland or divinity os 2
Remade in the Tactics engine.
one where I can save mid combat without breaking the game and my save file
>b*thesda remaking the real Fallout games
Gross no.
Microsoft should give it to inxile
Daggerfall, it should be like the witcher 3

Your mom's house.
Get yourself checked.
I got checked out by your mom last night.
These only work if I give a shit about my mother.
Pay attention to your kids and answer their questions with depth and authenticity if you don't want them to end up like that.
Absolutely, not to mention provide them with actual attention so they won’t be desperate enough to seek it out from strangers.

Kinda like what Beamdog was supposed to do with BG
