There's a reason there are no other games that have this gameplay. Because it was shit. This game came out when RTS games were at their peak and it couldn't possibly compete. It's only popular now because of eceleb cancer. have a nice day.

Nah, it's an accurate opinion. The fact that this trash game has been shilled hard by ecelebs worshiped by you homosexuals and STILL can't get any posts discussing the game is evidence of that.
it is nothing like them aside from being able to upgrade units individually. what a moronic and shallow observation. rts lives and dies by its resource and map design, and BFME is entirely different as DoW/CoH has resource balancing with fuel, ammo, and manpower all being gained through strategic points. BFME has a single resource gained through a much more fluid map control system where buildings are more productive when built away from each other
I will say, Battle 4 MiddleEarth had a great game mode where you had a board game campaign map where you moved troops then fight battles in a skirmish.
But, War of the Ring was the better Lotr RTS. At least it was based on Warcraft instead of Dow.
I played BFMEII at some vague point around its release, I remember enjoying it but not being especially wowed by it. However I can promise you its better than War of the Ring.
The only thing I was disappointed by was thinking you'd be able to put troops on the walls you built like in stronghold
That and merging Rohan and Gondor
I was kind of brainless back then so I mostly remember spamming those OP elite stealth archers whenever possible.
And there was some kind of snow mission where you fight those sea monsters, which I remember hating.
Kind of want to revisit this game but if I recall its a pain in the ass these days to install.
I installed and played it a short while a go without any problems other than the camera zooming in too much by default.
There's a mod that fixes it but I couldn't get it to work and dropped it because of that.

I remember back then being very popular but only because it was LotR. I agree the gameplay was kinda shite and laggy but still fun
nah it was fun
dunno I enjoyed it back then, I still enjoy it now

you're shit.

It's DoW/CoH clone
1 was good as a dow clone with zero depth
Dow and coh are so completely different tactically it's a bad comparison

No, its a CnC Generals clone dumb ass
It's closer to the Command and Conquer games made by the same studio.
Thranduil chads rise up.
>Tom Bombadil shows up and kaio-ken's your army into orbit
I kinda liked the slow pace of it. Most sieges of important cities were also dope as frick.
But I probably would never replay it, since it had many flaws.
Does this game have executions animations like DoW?
pretty fun trampling everyone with my cav

Blind take. You ever hear of Battle Realms?
It was unique.
I wish I could go back to 2007.
Finding out that Jamie Christopherson did the OST for both the BFME games absolutely blew my mind when I found out.
I wish I paid enough attention to e-celebs to know what this spastic twat was raging about.

Unfortunately we aren't ADHD, moronic, 10 years old.
How we've missed out.
I dearly miss this series, if it wasn't for host lag it would have been a real contender. Luckily EA's atrocious netcode fricked it all up.
I honestly kind of prefer the first game, if only for the campaign.
Would kill for a new one though, especially if it combines the good ideas from 1 and 2.
