theres no such thing
there are none. grinding isn't supposed to be good or fun.
I see someone hasn't played olliolli
I do remember enjoying some grinding as a kid but i cant think of anything from the top of my head
Bdo is your best bet.
If you grind in FFVII you're bad
You don't need to grind at any point
remote working games
>JRPG's
>Good grinding
Who's the Black person homosexual moron that made this video?
disgaea is a pure grinding game, though the fans also say that the first, and maybe the second game are the only good ones so take that as you will
also monster hunter is fun grind
good choices, those are some excellent grinds!
I enjoyed unlocking all the characters in Warriors Orochi 1 and all the mechs in Another Century's Episode 3.
No RNG involved, cool secret objectives that you most likely won't do on your first playthrough of the level, the reward is well worth it. This is how grinding should be done.
Grinding is by definition a boring chore.
Grind is always fricking moronic. It's just wasting your time. No, you won't remember the fricking items you 'farmed and worked' for in path of exile the next week.
the problem is grind isnt rewarding enough
give me skill trees, unlockable perks, weapons, classses and shit, not useless cosmetics or linear battlepasses
Atelier games if you like making god-like items.
>JRPGs
>Good grinding
pretty sure this gif is what AngryJoe thinks he looks like
>grinding in FFVII
lmao
the only time i did that was if i miraculously didn't have enough money to buy something important. just don't run from random encounters bro.
Grinding is the result of the developers being afraid their game will seem too short. I don't care if a game is short. I'll always appreciate a game that lets me access the fun shit quick. Frick these 50+ hour RPGs.
OSRS is one of my favorite MMOs ever and some of its grinds are absolutely moronic and wont change because of grognards
You have bosses that are glorified target dummies locked behind obscene requirements like high Slayer despite being easier than alot of raid content that you could do months beforehand.
And dont even get me started on shit like Agility thats "required" and is literally clicking squares for hours on end
>ffvii
stupidest shit ever
shouldve been ffv, grinding the jobs was fun and rewarding, you could mix and match between them and shit, it was fun
Grinding in JRPGs, or, really, any game, is fine as long as the game is balanced to not require it.
If players can be adequately leveled and geared for the next dungeon or boss fight simply by following the regular script of the game, then there's zero issue with also allowing the player to grind for the sake of maybe acquiring more powerful spells or skills or buying rare items early than they normally would just because they WANT to have those things early.
That's good grinding, the grinding that only players who enjoy enjoy grinding have to do.
The only quality grinding is the kind I did with your mother last night.
I'd assume this is about how the ones on the left have you grinding for tangible rewards (level ups, new weapons/armor, stuff like that) while the right is about grinding for some game's funny money so you can buy the shit you want in its battle pass or whatever
What makes "good" grinding and how is it different from "bad" grinding? Is it something like grinding for exp vs grinding for a rare drop/encounter? Both of those suck but the latter is a skinner box.
Monster Hunter.
>What makes "good" grinding and how is it different from "bad" grinding?
A good type of grind stems from doing something you were already planning on doing with the fun factor being the main motivator and the reward being an added incentive. Defeat X boss 15 times? No problem, I was going to do that anyway.
>x is better than y
>ARE YOU SAYING X IS GOOD? I WOULD RATHER HAVE NEITHER!
sasuga Ganker
Yes. It's like saying getting kicked in the balls is better than being shot in the balls. Why do either?
There are lots of games where I found grinding fun. You do realize that grinding is just playing the game right? If you're not having fun playing the game then stop playing.
>It's like saying getting kicked in the balls is better than being shot in the balls.
I'm sure you think this is some epic "gotcha" but that is 100% true. Getting kicked is better than getting shot.
Well yeah but I'm trying to enjoy my time here, can't I just have fun? Why are you attacking my balls?
I hope someone shoots your balls off for setting up such an idiotic strawman.
And I hope you have to grind for 10 hours for a .01% chance to get some stupid sword in your next gay JRPG.
How it's a strawman? His point was that the 2 options are bad
you would beg me to kick you in the nads at gun point
there's no such thing as good grinding
all games are grinding, fake accomplishments for you to work towards
those which are good.
