I played solasta a small bit before bg3 released and bg3 is probably a decent bit better, feels more open and more polished, but I don't have a lot of experience with both.
One thing I can give solasta is it has a much more serious atmosphere, so far bg3 feels kind of like a romp.
torment is a little more of an homage to the OG. it's definitely less combat focused and considerably more choice/dialogue focused.
in addition, "dying" isn't a thing, but failing combat is. This may feel weird for someone unfamiliar with the original.
It's one of my favorite games but i haven't played the others. Overall: recommend playing Torment at least once (and the original!)
Torment seems fun, just started. PoE2 is supposedly better than PoE1 but I was bored to death by PoE1. Also 2 is supposedly way more woke, dunno. Solasta is supposedly good but just a basic D&D ruleset simulator. Could try knights of the chalice if that's all you're after.
