They're not taking a gap year for you, manchild. Losing out on a full year of games sales isn't worth the marketting of their anniversary being a new gen. That's not gonna double its sales. I would have agreed with you before, but there are some things that make me disagree.

Considering all of this, I wouldn't be surprised if they delayed a major 3D game for 2026.
I'm going to predict that the next thing they announce will be a 2D remake by another company, or new DLC for SV (they could easily do something with the chunk of land they have in the Northeast of the map).

>2025: Gen 10
>2026: Kanto/RGY main series game that pays tribute to the series.
They will keep the 3-year new generation cycle going and give the big 30Y anniversary to the OG games that started it all.
2026 will be DLC for Gen 10 you fricking mongoloid
2026 will be 8 years since LGPE released so another KANTO game definitely wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility at that point.

connecting gen10 to the 30th anniversary isnt some magical priority for them. They'll release it when they release it, the dates align to holiday seasons or other factors and symbolism like this plays no part at all
