I'm thinking it will probably be a big hommage to the series, with either a return to Kanto/Pokéjapan with the openzorld twist or a new region with KANTOOOOOOOO pandering.
realistic new regions possibilities could be US again (western coast?) Australia or India. Personal hope is an openworld region centered around the Amur/Heilong Jiang River
I think it will change everything in the series forever, will be the most revolutionary gen this far, and that it will take a bigger gap to release after the new unova game. It will have to come on a console it hasnt even been announced nor leaked yet, too, and their statements on wanting to improve the quality of the games makes me think this.
If I have to guess again a real world location I think China or Australia are likely, I hope between the 2 its not australia because another dull generic openworld map wouldnt be so good, but I'm open to it being anything, maybe not even an earth region anymore

still, i trust gamefreak because they are amazing at what they do, so i think this time they'll really take more. they already released huge games like SV with 3 regions, like the biggest mainline compartment yet, and pokemon can fill up with so many spin offs in the meantime.
They won't anon, at least not actual coding development time. They've absolutely been working on concept and shit since middle of last year but they're gonna do another year or so of pre-production before starting 10. Meaning a start date of 2024.

gen 9 just had multiple chinese pokémon included a legendary quartet with chinese names, no other legendary group ever had that, gen 5 had more china than either japan or europe.

You NEED to partner up with a chink dev house to work in China (think Tnecent works with Nintendo) and all chink dev houses give the Party info freely. Ergo, Game Freak are going nowhere near the fricking place.
no idea what the hell youre saying anyway they partnered with a chinese software house that created a chinese-only version of firered/leafgreen with online functionalities, online sync timer, new locations too. they actually made a much better game

Hopefully it goes back to a cel shaded anime artstyle with slight voice acting. I had an idea where the region is actually a fusion of all the 9 regions previously. Takes place in some unknown planet and it's basically the only region that exists on that planet. (you get isekaid from the og planet) Lots of the important characters has mythicals/sub legendaries as starters and you get one too, a new one of course. The gimmick would be casting cards similar to yugioh somewhat lmao, it has a ton of different effects like stat boosting, inflicting a status condition, and giving additional effects to moves. Can be used 3 times per battle, and haha yes you can use all the other previous gimmicks with it aswell, might be chaotic but whatever. I'd call the games Light/Shadow but it feels a bit similar to Black/White or Sun/Moon dunno could still work. Legendaries are triple typed for the first time. You find the Grass/Fire/Water starters in the wild instead bc your starter is the new mythical
