>Gen 2 remakes in Gen 4 >Can evolve Murkrow and Misdreavus into their Sinnoh evos >Can't evolve the rest like Magneton, Eevee, Nosepass, etc. into their Sinnoh evos
What were they thinking?
>>Gen 2 remakes in Gen 4 >>Can evolve Gen 2 Pokemon like Murkrow and Misdreavus into their Sinnoh evos >>Can't evolve the non-Gen2 Pokemon like Magneton, Eevee, Nosepass, etc. into their Sinnoh evos
what's the problem?
the problem is that these evolutions are completely unobtainable unless you shell out for a copy of DPPt
yeah it is kind of dumb, but the logic seemed to be wanting to focus on the Gen 2 Pokemon and their evolutions. Basically like how the KANTOOO remakes focus on the Gen 1 Pokemon, but nowhere near as strict.
Because for whatever reason they decided not to make areas to evolve some of the gen 4 evos since they were location based. For others like Murkrow and Misdreavous, they just needed a stone.
it only added the hoenn ones and you can't actually use any of them except roserade until postgame. you can also only fight them as enemies in victory road, where the trainers use natdex mons anyway
You also need to have the natdex yourself in order to even get that far. It's weird that they added stuff like Dusknoir to the regional dex, but you can't actually use or even see it until you already have the natdex, so what was even the point
They were being smart? Giving you the buffs of shitty Gen 2 Pokemon fixes a lot of the problems the originals had. It be weird to get a Glaceon because that's even further astray from the point of a faithful remake. I don't even really love HGSS like everyone else does but that's the dumbest thing to complain about.
can we talk about how shit yanmega's level up learnset is in gen 4
in platinum it's workable because of the tutors, but in hgss the tutors all cost BP which is locked off until after lance so yanmega's only moves are u-turn and shadow ball. and wasting those tms on yanmega harms your ability to get BP
>getting ancient power for mons like Tangela and Piloswine to evolve them before the league
Shit blew my mind when I realized they just let that happen. Still should've just thrown the evo stones into the department store.

Why can't I evolve Eevee into Leafeon but I can evolve Murkrow into Hounkrow in the same game?

I like how ORAS cut the bullshit and added all the new crossgens to the hoenn dex. every remake should've done that.
It only added seven of them and their items are still locked to postgame

>tangela is a gen 2 pokemon now
I was going to say tangela has KANTOOOOO privilege but that woundnt explain the lack of Magnezone or Sinnoh Eeveelutions.
Eevee and Tangela are in the regional dex though.

You don't know HGSS.
then they approved bdsp
sad wasn't it.
you literally just posted a picture of a ROM hack doebeit
It's in the OG game, as well.
moron
Sinnoh had done evolutions based on location for the first time that gen and they wanted to keep that unique to it unitl the next gen.

Cant you start earning Battle Points as soon as you reach Olivine where the Battle frontier is?
only in crystal. in hgss it's locked off until after lance, probably because they use natdex mons
It's not much but you can also get Silver Wind by resetting the lottery at Goldenrod pokemart on sundays until you win, but yeah it's shit
>find some friends or buy our other games and a 2nd system, povvo
Like always povvo.

bizarrely enough, they added the move evos to the johto dex but not the item evos
