Gen 4 is my favourite gen and i love it precisely for the reason it was originally hated - the edge. So many delightfully edgy and cool mons, the ones you posted, the starters, staraptor, luxray, fossils, roserade etc etc.
True. It was the first gen when gameplay was actually good.
I like gen 4 because the slower pace + return of daily events make it the only other gen aside from 2 that tries to be more of an immersive world that you take your time with. And that’s how I like to enjoy the games personally.

Yeah, gen4 was the best gen. Great pokemon designs, the perfect artstyle, the best music. Every starter is a 10/10. The strongest champion. One of the best written evil team bosses. And let's not forget the great little features like the Poketch or your own mansion.

Generation 4 came out when I was in High School, and I was absolutely delighted to see that there were about 20 or 30 kids at school in the auditorium playing this game when it came out, as I figured beforehand if I were to play it, I'd be the only one or made fun of. At the end of that very day I used up my money to grab Pearl and a DS. I loved that game and that time of my life. That was (in essense) the last purely happy period of my time, as the summer after that school year was when I started smoking weed, selling weed, fricking girls, I quit hockey, got caught up in a gang, dropped out of school in grade 12, had a dozen or so stints in jail/prison, etc.
It all worked out in the end, but I was fricked up until like 25 years old. Now I just work, ride motorcycles and play video games.
These are…alright. I really don’t like the double point theming of Gliscor, doubling down on the very loosely vampiric design of Gligar, and while Gligar looks very much like an early gen design, Gliscor doesn’t. Don’t like the art direction of gen 4, in general.
I'm thinking about and it is not.

Almost all of Gen 3 looks like a shitty plastic toy or doesn't make sense in 3D. It makes no sense to call out any Gen 4 mon specifically for this.

Personally I have a weakness for cross gen evolutions, so gen 4 also does stuff for me
