But for what BW was (a story heavy game relative to the other titles that came before it), it might need this sort of approach.
Does it really do the game and its ending justice to just do an ILCA-tier remake?
The ending where they tried to answer the question on raising pokemon themselves, and ending up creating the most vapid, juvenile excuse for a "conclusion"? Yes, it absolutely does deserve the ILCA treatment for that part.
You can't have an ambiguous moral dilemma in a kids game about collecting said creatures.
No one asked them to do that. But they went ahead and basically shat on the idea of pokemon every having compelling narratives. They don't deserve credit for "thinking about it"

Pokémon is the only franchise that still designs areas on a grid despite being in 3d and implementing free movement.
Don't bother, just release a 60 dollar port of the first one minus a bunch of features like wireless, inferred, online, pokemon transfer, etc.
Cut everything that isn't native to the original Black and White.
Add in the battle tower from X and Y, but replace any unique trainer with generic trainers that just say the lines of the character they replace even if it makes no sense.
Oh, and be sure to lock people out of Home for a year or two.

Most people dislike the animated sprites in BW but i loved them, especially the full body backsprites. It will be lifeless XY models, ILCA chibi overworld and exactly like the original game. If it is like that i don't even want to see it.
a big part of that is in fan games making the same animated sprities is a nightmare

I want to see them recreate the gen 5 sprites and I feel that engine would work well with how they built the gen 5 world.

-BW2's plot with Kyorem happens already, but this time you fight the Black/White Team Plasma alongside N to reach Ghetsis
-Ghetsis awakens Kyurem and steals N's dragon
-Ghetsis recreates the OG Dragon and defeats N
-you fight and defeat Ghetsis, freeing the OG Dragon

Nintendo should figure out how to add DS games to NSO and then just dump BW 1 and 2 on there. Instead of a Remake, GF should then make BW3 with current gen graphics and a reinterpretation of Unova (open world etc). Everybody wins.

I waited, Game Freak. I fricking waited. 11 fricking years. Even though I jumped into this franchise day one with Red, gen 4 has a special place in my heart. My grandmother imported Pearl for me when it released in Japan and I couldn't believe it was possible that I could be playing the new Pokemon months before my peers. I hold that game very fricking close to my heart. Then HGSS come out, and they're just as good, it was everything I wanted to see in a remake. And I would think to myself "wow, I can't imagine what it'll be like when we finally come back around to Diamond and Pearl for remakes." And they FRICKED ME.

The 2d sprites were perfect and so were the animation in battles. 3D would be terrible and should be preserved in a HD-2D art style. Package BW with BW2 as the post game and you have the perfect remake.

Fine. I don't want a remake of Gen 5's overly linear, less balanced than usual, sparse pokedex-having games that started the greedier "sequel versions" tactic and coincided with the biggest c**t of all of Ash's companions in the anime.

- BW and BW2 in the same cart, with an option to migrate everything to the same save file without using HOME bullshit once you've completed both games (use the Poketransporter building for that purpose)
- You can't play the BW2 section unless you beat BW first. BW ends with the protag leaving the region looking for N.
- Difficulty selectors like in BW but available from the start
- No Pokémon outside Unova dex in the BW part of the game. Keep it like it was.
- You fight your BW protag at the end of PWT like it was planned in the originals. There is now a "mandatory" PWT section in the postgame to have this
- Voice acting for once. Even if it's a madeup language
- Keep every feature from the originals: Entralink, White Tree/Black Tower, Subway, PWT, Pokéwood, Hidden Grottos, etc
- Add Pokéthlon or another fun active minigame
- Pokémon Dream World as an ingame minigame not depending on a web browser game
- No chibi artstyle like in BDSP
- No "westernized" artstyle like in SV
- Artstyle similar to Arceus, also have some wink at it with Ingo (like he gets lost and comes back after a sidequest, and he's back from Hisui).
- Add Pokémon from newer generations, don't do a "faithful remake" regarding that. I want to play with Hisui forms in Unova.
- Fully controled camera.
